My friends and I wanted to go on a vacation, like no other. We were a group of five, two boy and three girls, Mona, Erica, Joe and Elias and me. Elias and Mona are a couple as well as Erica and Joe; my boyfriend couldn't be bothered to come along. He wasn't interested in monsters and the supernatural, unlike us. Mona and Elias found out about this hotel in Transylvania.

She booked us a week of vacation at the 'Hotel Transylvania', including transportation, who will pick us up at the nearest village, at midnight.

We arrived there a day early, as the monster festival was blocking the streets. "Nice...a festival!" said Erica with joy, looking at all the people, wearing horrifying costumes. "Should we go through it, we got a lot of time to kill till midnight" suggested Joe, smiling wide. "Better than sitting around, so how about it, Elias, Mona? Care to take a look?" I asked out loud, opening the door of the car. They both were still tired of the trip and decided to sit in a café instead. So it's only Erica, Joe and I. Of course, Erica had to take photos of the people around us. I didn't expect anything else from a designer, since she loves her job. The same goes for Joe, a passionate sports teacher, who hates to stop moving, as he is always on the move. I wasn't surprised either that he suggested walking around the place.

At the café, Elias got himself a coffee, while Mona ate a Transylvanian dish I don't know about, she seems to like it though, according to her expression. Elias had to work last night, playing in a gothic band the violin. Mona had to pack his stuff for the trip, as she took her day off as a primary teacher in her home town. It's still a mystery on how they met, since they never mentioned it...ever.

And there is me, jobless. They think I should take a vacation before my 'new' job will take most of my precious time. I only took care of my boyfriend's bar so far, being a waitress once in a while and planning/organizing the parties for him. I was glad he paid me for it; otherwise I weren't able to pay my part of this trip.

At the festival we had watched all the stands and the banners, which were hanging everywhere. I loved the entertainment that was provided on stage, near the café, Bands where singing their songs, foreign and familiar hits. I bet they would go nuts when Elias would play his violin, it's a shame though, that he left it at home. We danced, drink and had a great time till late at night. Fireworks, torches and lamps made the atmosphere more mysterious as in broad daylight; until the church bell rang...it was midnight!

"N/A, Joe, Erica, what are you waiting for? Come on!" yelled Elias, standing with Mona at a ...hearse? "I thought we are going to a hotel, not a funeral", joked Joe, referring to the vehicle and the driver, which looked like a zombie. Erica complimented the driver, on how well he played his part of a zombie, including his clothes and make up. Elias had to drag her into the hearse; otherwise she wouldn't have shut up talking. Once we all sat inside, the vehicle began to move, in an inhuman speed, that Erica and Mona began to scream.

The boys and I loved this; it felt like we are sitting in a race car. The zombie driver drove through the forest, then a cemetery, until we went down under into a tunnel. We all looked, with wide eyes, as a massive castle came into sight. "Mona, you never mentioned that the hotel was a castle" screamed Erica in joy, scanning her surroundings. "Cool..." said Elias, watching all the staff, walking around like zombies "...I never been in a place, where real monsters are." Erica swallowed hard at his words "real monsters?" Elias nodded, as she looked at the driver. He should have said that sooner, she didn't waste another word afterwards, keeping her distance to the staff.

"I like it already guys!" I said, my eyes fixed on to the entrance "...shall we?" Once in, our jaws dropped. The lobby was huge, everywhere were all kind of monsters, from skeletons to gremlins. We all never met monsters in the flesh and now, we are spending our holiday with them.

"I get our room keys, Mona check out the specials events for the week we might have to book" said Elias, handing her a booklet he got from a boy with ginger hair. Joe and Erica watched a bunch of werewolf puppies playing around, while I was interested at a tall man, wearing a cape. He didn't seem to move an inch, so I assumed he was a statue. I jumped as I pulled on his cape and he turned around in an instant. "I am sorry; I thought you were a statue!" I said raising my head up apologizing. Now I could recognize him...he was a vampire...an old vampire. "I am not the youngest dear, I need more time now" he smiled at me, showing his fangs. He took it with humor, as we started to talk to each other. He introduced himself as Vlad, kissing my hand like a gentleman. I forgot about my friends at this time, until another man came towards us...a younger version of the man before me. "Miss, your company has been calling you for some time" he said, pointing at my friends. They all looked at me, a little annoyed. "Thank you sir...eh..." "Count Dracula" he said casual. "Of course, thank you Count Dracula" I bowed at him, before leaving the two vampires alone.

"A gorgeous human girl" said Vlad, watching me leave the lobby, toward the elevator. "Dad, she is too young for you" said Dracula, a little annoyed. "I wasn't thinking to have her for me..." began Vlad, nudging Dracula's chest "but for you, my son." He looked at his father in shock "No, no, no...don't even start there...I am not interested in her." The old vampire could only chuckle at his son's reaction "We see about that."
