A small screen displaying a signature green and black paw print flickered off as the voice memo finished sending. The display quickly morphed back into the handles of a pink and gray jump rope. With a calculated flick of her wrist the rope zipped high into the air. The thrown handle embedded itself deep in the fascias of a nearby building. Small spikes formed around it, locking it securely in place as Multimouse pulled tension into the rope. The rope flexed immensely and the building's exterior tremored slightly under the pressure. Until finally in a tremendous burst of speed the energy pulled her high into the air. The small spikes, releasing at just the right moment, flawlessly slipped away from its hold. Only to repeat this action again as Multimouse zipped towards the sounds of chaos.

High in the sky and with the morning sun to her back she found the Akuma. She landed softly on the smooth tiles of the building, directly above the Akuma, her padded heels making her silent. "Looks like you can run but you can't hide."

The Akuma, who had been flipping cars over in search of Adrien stopped in her tracks. "Hide!? Sprinta doesn't hide from anyone, especially not from some puny mouse. Where is Ladybug and Chat Noir so I can search for MY Adrien in peace?"

"You think they have time to deal with the small fry? I'm all you need when it comes to showing why Cheetah's are the weakest of the large cats."

The Akuma's eyes slit and its ears once again twisted back, flush on its head. "Come down here and say that to my face." Her words were dripping with anger. "I'm curious as to what mice taste like." She licked her lips in anticipation.

"Trust me, I look better than I taste. Besides, as fun as that sounds. I've really had enough running for today. Tell Hawk Moth to give up and save us both the time and effort."

The Akuma momentarily gave a blank, soulless expression before looking back towards Multimouse. The Akuma spoke with a different cadence, these were no longer the words of the Akuma, it was Hawk Moth himself. "You are right about one thing, little mouse. Spare yourself the embarrassment of an devastating defeat and bring me Ladybug and Chat Noir. I have no need for your Miraculous but I will take it from your corpse if you stand in my way once again."

"Big talk for someone too scared to fight their own battles. Scurry along little moth, and watch as your Akuma fails once again." Multimouse watched as the eye of the Akuma twitched in annoyance before twisting back into one of anger as it resumed control over its own body.

"Final chance, If you stop preying on hot models, I'll purr-omise to take you down m-ice and easy." Anticipating the answer. she begun spinning the jump rope at high speeds. The Akuma assumed a battle stance, muscles coiling, ready to pounce when she was close enough. Multimouse jumped high into the air and launched the handle straight at the Akuma, who nimbly dodged it with a small motion.

The Akuma scoffed at the poor display. "Is that all? You missed!" Multimouse smirked as the spike extended and with a swift yank she launched herself at high speeds towards the Akuma who had lowered her guard accidentally. Multimouse managed to land a solid kick to the akuma's chest, sending her reeling back and slamming into a flipped vehicle.

"Cheap shot" The Akuma spit out angrily.

"Maybe you're just slow?" She quipped gingerly.

With a burst of speed the Akuma was suddenly upon Multimouse. She barely managed to flip away as the baton skimmed the air less than an inch away. The Akuma followed up with attack after attack, each time Multimouse nimbly moved just enough to dodge her attacks.

The Akuma swiped her clawed hand out towards Multimouse. The metallic claw gleaned with sunlight as it dawned upon her. Instead of dodging the attack she swiftly twisted her rope around the Akuma's hand before managing to coil it around both of the Akuma's arms. "Gotcha, Looks like those claws are sharper than you are"

The Akuma didn't respond, instead she opted to start sprinting down the street. Multimouse, who had the Akuma bound by the arms, was forced along for the ride as the rope dragged her forward. She skidded around the floor as she tried to break with her heels. Until she eventually used a broken car door as a surfboard of sorts. Sparks showered the street behind her as they zoomed across the city, causing her to skillfully jump over cars and other obstacles.

"You feline tired yet?" Multimouse asked after a few minutes. She knew the answer as she realized the Akuma, unlike its natural counterpart, was not getting tired by running. She was hoping Chat would show up soon, but was now beginning to worry that he might not be showing up any time soon. She knew she had to finish this quickly even if it meant working without him, as they weren't able to repair any damage done yet.

"Paws, In the name of the Law!" Slowly, Multimouse began to pull herself closer and closer to the Akuma. Its speed making the task even more difficult as she still had to dodge every few moments. "Slow down already, you're not making this very chee-sy for me." she said as she was nearing the Akuma.

As she managed to grab onto the Akuma's wrist she lost focus for just a second. The door she was using had been sanded all the way through, sending her tumbling at high speeds on the tarmac. Her tumbling stopped when she slammed into a car door, leaving a Mulimouse sized dent deep into its metallic surface.

Now she was annoyed and wanted to end this quickly. She realized that fighting on equal terms wouldn't work how she wanted, and she managed to form a plan while she role played as a surfer. Nevertheless, she readied herself into a fighting stance. "Purr-edator or purr-ey? Looks like it's now my turn to lead the chase. "You may have the speed, but I have the Mo—"

The Akuma's muscles coiled once again as she thrust the glowing end of the baton straight into Multimouse's chest. With a thundering explosion Multimouse was launched backwards multiple blocks away and into the storefront of a cafe.

Adrien watched the screen in horror as Marinette was struck by a direct blast. The news helicopter managed to capture the entire encounter. It now focused on the destroyed store front, looking, scanning for any sign of movement by their new hero. Adrien, recognized the shop she collided with, they had passed it while they ran away, she wasn't far away.

"Plagg—

"Adrien, you're hurt, don't even th—"

"Claws Out"

His transformation washed over him. He walked forward, pain shot up his spine but it was more manageable now. Gritting his teeth, and pushing through the pain. He flew out of the store doors and used his baton to reach the rooftops. Heavy, labored steps collided with the tiled roof as Adrien surged forward. As the cafe came into view, Chat watched again in Horror as a de-transformed Marinette caught the attention of the Akuma. Chat launched forward, hoping to make it before the Akuma could. Marinette managed to duck into an alley, but it was too late. The Akuma rushed full speed down the alley towards the girl just as he reach the alley entrance.

To his surprise, Marinette managed to reach the end of the alley and round the corner. As the Akuma reached halfway in, multiple ropes pulled taught, both tripping and tieing themselves completely around the Akuma. Before him a multitude of mini-mice scurried their way into the alleyway, forming to become Multimouse. She placed a hand on her hip and one to her lip as she looked at the Akuma thoughtfully. "Does this count as a Mouse trap?"

It appeared that Multimouse still hadn't noticed Chat's presence yet. Just as he was about to call out to her. Marinette rounded the corner? Multimouse spoke to Marinette who stood before her. "Thank you young citizen, your bravery helped stop this Akuma in their tracks.". Marinette smiled and also said her thanks before leaving the alley for a final time. At this point Adrien was royally confused and riddled with a feeling of Deja-vu, for whatever reason. How could Marinette be in two places at once?

"Multimouse?" Chat called out from behind her. She quickly whipped around, obviously surprised to see him. "Chat? H-how long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough to be confused. Uh, good job on capturing the Akuma though, I'm sorry I couldn't make it in time, I was tied up with something."

"Don't worry about that, It all worked out in the end right? Do you want to do the honors?" She said, was she motioned towards the Akuma who was currently thrashing around trying to break free. Its baton was laying just out of reach of it.

Multimouse found a discarded jar in the alley that she used to collect the Akuma as it flew out of the broke object. "Another one to the collection." she commented.

Chat looked at her, still confused by what he saw before, before he could ask she spoke. "I know you are confused about what happened just now, but my friend was injured during the fight and here isn't the best place. Meet up tonight?"

(the victim can find out what happened via the news, ain't nobody got time for that)

"Adrien!" a de-transformed Marinette entered the shop where she left Adrien. Panic began to set in her heart as she realized the store was empty and Adrien nowhere to be found. She ran outside and was pulling out her phone to call him when she noticed his hobbled figure limping down the sidewalk towards her. "Adrien?! What's wrong, why are you up and walking already?" She immediately rushed to his side and wrapped an arm around his torso.

"I saw you get hit on Tv and I couldn't just sit there, I'm sorry, it's stupid" hearing that Marinette held him tighter. "It's not stupid, but don't you think you hurt yourself enough for me today? You don't need to push yourself like that."

"If it's for you, then I'm okay with it." He gave her a small wink as he finished speaking. A deep blush filled her cheeks, it was a sight we was growing to adore more and more. "Maybe you are stupid, come on, l-lets get this leg checked out."
