Chapter 18.1

KHALI

    I came back to school Thursday, which was yesterday. Now, here I am Pre-Valentines Day at school. Almost everyone was in red and white but my crew, being my crew, dressed normal, well Trey and I both wore hoodies, does that count?

I was standing by my locker with the crew when Dequan came up.

"Khali, may I speak with you?" he asked through gritted teeth.

"Sure," I said looking at him.

He looked back at me and sighed.

"I meant alone," He said eyeing the others who were staring him down.

I walked like four lockers away from the crew and stood there.

"Khali! I swear I'ma make sure, everyone close to you dies!" Dequan snapped, all in my face.

Hol' up sweetie... What a strong spirit... I backed up.

"Excuse me? Sorry, repeat," I said.

"You niqq'hz killed Raquan!" His voice raised.

"No, honey. Don't use that tone with me and I don't know what you are talking about." I snapped.

As I said that, Raquan, something came to mind.

"Haha, little Khali." He chuckled pointing the gun at me.

"Khaliana's the name." I corrected.

"It-" He managed to get out before he fell limply after a shot to the head.

That voice did sound familiar. His figure was similar to Raquan's. Sh't.

"Okay. Okay. Keep it that way, tell your people we are coming," Dequan straightened up then walked away.

I walked back over to the crew.

"What did he want?" Trey asked.

"Nothing, just talking about getting back our relationship." I lied.

I did not want to bother them today with this.

"Oh," The crew, except Trey, said.

Trey could see my lie right through. Before he could prolong the argument, the bell rang. We had different classes so we had to go our separate ways well except Alecia and I. The others went leaving Trey, Alecia and I. Trey and I shared a lingering kiss with him biting my lip softly as he pulled away.

"We are not going to start this hiding stuff or lying. We are gonna talk, later." He whispered in my ear and walked away.

I sighed then walked with Alecia to class. While walking,

"You know you and Trey are real cute," Alecia said.

"Oh really?" I asked.

"Yes, cuter than how you and Dequan were, and it sorta makes me think of how Shaun and I would look like," She said.

"That's n- wait... Did you just say you and Shaun?!" I exclaimed.

Alecia visibly froze.

"Sh't, I should not have said that yet but he likes me and I do too so you can say we have this thing," She explained.

I squealed. This helped my whole mood on the Dequan situation and I pulled Alecia in a hug.

"He's basically targeting us?" Trey asked.

"Yees! And I really can't bother with the unnecessary sh't right now," I said with a slight headache.

"Calm down, babe, I'ma bring you home and we can talk to your dad." Trey assured me.

"Yea that would be good. Sorry I lied but I didn't want to worry anyone in the moment." Trey nodded in understanding.

He pulled me on top of him, gripping my ass.

"Let's focus on us, right now." He took me in a kiss.
