Peter's POV

"Do you Princess (Y/N) (L/N) take Prince Eric Smith as your lawfully wedded husband?"

My hands were balled into fists as I watched (Y/N) as she opened her mouth to say her reply. It took her a few seconds before she replied. I didn't understand why it took her long, I was expecting her to answer without hesitation.

"I," she said her voice cracking.

Why is her voice cracking?

"I do," she said.

The entire kingdom cheered for the newly weds while tears flowed from my eyes. She is gone now. She can't be mine now, that worst part was that she never even mine from the start. I was getting ready to leave, so I took one look at her face which I expected should be happy but I saw one tear escape from her face. She noticed it and wiped it away, I thought that it just might be a tear of joy.

When I got back in Neverland, the first thing I did was I ripped out my own heart. Now I can't feel anything, supposedly. I can still feel something but it wasn't as strong as when I had it inside of me. I hid it in my treehouse where no one will now enter.

I thought that having my heart ripped out will make me feel nothing but I said that I still feel something. I want to feel nothing. I can't handle this pain inside of me. I called the Dark One and he gave me a potion of forgetting in exchange for my heart. Before I drank the potion, I was thinking of the promise I made to (Y/N). A promise which I will now break.

"I'm sorry (Y/N). But you'll forget about me too," I said as I drank the potion.

When I drank it, I forgot about her.

-

Two years have past since I drank that potion about forgetting someone. Those two years have been delighting and exhilarating but I still feel empty. Well, I guess that's the price I had to pay other than giving the Dark One my heart.

Now as I sit on my thinking tree, where I drank the potion, I watched as a pirate ship docked on the island. They aren't really a problem, unless they decide to threaten one of my Lost Boys or me. That will never happen since they know about me and about my games. They're just here for some business.

The ship left after a day and here I am again enjoying solitude. I don't really count the Lost Boys other than Felix as a friend. Even if I count him as a friend, we have nothing to talk about and I really enjoy solitude. As I was watching my island, I felt something. The ship left Neverland but someone stayed behind. I went back to camp and saw the Lost Boys training.

"Boys," I said. "Someone thinks that he could stay here without me knowing. Well let's prove him wrong," I said and the boys cheered. "You know what to do," the boys went into groups and ran into different parts of the woods. "Let's play."

I watched as the boys tracked our guest, they were really good. They never cease to impress me. I decided to see who our guest is. I found him where the cure for Dreamshade could only be found. I saw that he knows what he was doing since he was completely covered as he was cutting out some of the Dreamshade so that he could get to the waterfall. When he got it, he took off his hood and mask. I was shocked when I saw a girl.

"Who are you?" I asked as I walked right towards her. I looked at her face which was held with shock but she wasn't scared, that surprised me. The most surprising part, is that she smiled and hugged me tightly.

"Peter," she said. "I miss you so much."

I pushed her away and she looked at me with confusion.

"How do you know me? Who are you?" I asked walking around her. "Were you sent here to kill me?"

"Kill you?" She asked flabbergasted. "Peter is it really true that you don't remember me?"

"No," I said eyeing her up and down. A part of me is saying that I know her. "Who are you?"

"I'm (Y/N). We've met two years ago. We were friends Peter," she said as she tried to take my hand but I whisked it away before she could even touch it. "Peter you promised never to forget me," she said.

"So you're the one," I said. I looked at her who was now confused. "You're the one I wanted to forget about."

"Why would you want to forget about me? We never even fought," she said. "Our friendship was perfect."

"I guess we never did but I was in love with you (Y/N). Remember I said was. Now I'm not. The pain in my heart was too much so I drank a forgetting potion from Rumplestiltskin and forgot about you."

"You forgot about me and now you've turned into."

"Into what?" I asked cutting her off. "Go on, say it. It's not like I care about what you think about me now. It's not like I care for you."

"You've turned into a heartless boy," she said. She slid her hand inside her bag and I saw something I haven't seen for two years. My heart which is now almost fully black.

"Why do you have that? Are you going to crush it?"

"No!" She exclaimed. "Peter I came here to save two people that I love."

"Let me guess, one of them is me." I saw her nod and I scoffed. "Why do you need to save me?  I took out my heart with my own free will. Then I gave it to Rumplestiltskin in exchange for that potion. Speaking of which, how did you get my heart?"

"I made a deal with Rumplestiltskin. I'll get your heart in exchange for my engagement ring."

I had enough of this stupid conversation with this girl who I found out broke my heart. I held her wrist tightly and transported her to the forest where the Lost Boys could find her while I went back in the camp. It took a while before I heard struggles and screams. I had a smug smile on my face as I went to the boys. I saw her with a gag on her mouth and  her hands were tied together.

"Let go of me! Peter help me!" She yelled as she struggled to be free from the Lost Boy's grip.

"Put her in the cage," I commanded the boys. She was trying to struggle but then I held my hand up, stopping the boys. I saw a glint of hope in her eyes and I saw a small smile form on her face. I went closer to her and whispered to her ear, "So that we can talk more later."

"No!" She screamed. "Peter please! Please! I need to help Eric! I need to help him! He's dying! Cure Eric for me! Peter!"

I watched as tears were falling from her eyes as she was being dragged away. She stopped struggling and cried. I had this weird urge to go to her and comfort her but I just shrugged this urge away.

After a few minutes, I decided to visit her and have that talk. I saw her there crying, holding the water bottle filled with the cure for Dreamshade. When she saw me, I thought her eyes will hold anger but instead they held sadness.

"Peter," she said. "Please let me go. I need to save Eric."

"Who's Eric?" I asked.

"He's my friend. Please let me save him. He's dying of Dreamshade."

"You do know that when he drinks that he won't ever be able to leave Neverland," I said.

I saw her nod her head. "His true love is here. I'm helping him reunite the both of them."

"What do you get out of it?" I asked feeling a little curious.

"I get to see you for the last time," she said. My eyebrows furrowed as I looked at her face.

What does she mean for the last time?

"I'm dying Peter." That was the last thing she said before she collapsed.

A/N: Since this continuation seemed to be long, I'm going to make a part three. So see you guys. 🤗
