Robbie Kay X Reader
Robbie's POV
It's been two weeks since I've seen (Y/N). Two weeks since I saw her and Thomas chatting away before their family vacation together. While she was away, I thought my actions towards her and I saw that I shouldn't have been that mean. I just ignored her and I can see that she was hurt.
I did that cause I didn't know how to act towards her now. I don't know if we should continue being friends or is it alright that we don't talk anymore. I thought that second option was the best so I just ignored her and thought it was for the best. I thought that maybe she didn't want to talk to me or even see me because of embarrassment but I saw that the both of us suffered. I don't know how she did but I can see that she was really hurt and I suffered by seeing her hurt and heartbroken face everyday.
Just yesterday, I saw Thomas with his usual frown going to his first class. I searched for signs of (Y/N) but I didn't see her. I went towards (Y/B/F/N) who tried to avoid me. I think she's mad at me for ignoring her best friend. I tried again with a smile and I saw that she was a little confused now.
"Why are you ignoring me?" I asked with my playful smile.
(Y/B/F/N) eyed me up and down before replying but I was disappointed by what she said. "Hi," she said bitterly and left me.
I didn't try to talk to her after two days. I thought that may be she'll be able to talk to me after that.
While we were in the cafeteria, I was eating my lunch while Thomas is sitting with (Y/N)'s other friends with some of his too. I found it as a good chance to be able to talk to her. I don't know why but I just made myself walk over with my tray.
As I walked towards them, I felt so nervous and sweaty. Of course (Y/N) would've told her friends about me and her and who knows, she might've made some small twists.
"Hi. May I sit with you?" I asked.
Everyone on that table eyed me before making room for me. I flashed a smile and sat beside Thomas since it was the seat that wasn't taken.
"Why do you want to sit here?" Thomas asked me.
Thomas rarely speaks to anyone and I didn't really know that he has a British accent just like me.
"I wanted to ask how (Y/N) is doing? Why is she not coming to school? Is she avoiding me?"
"Don't flatter yourself," I heard a voice behind me say. I turned and saw that it was (Y/N).
Her friends stood up and hugged her and she hugged them back. When she saw Thomas, I saw the both of their eyes lock and they looked away blushing. The both of them jusr shared a fistbump which I thibk has a secret meaning begind it since I can see their cheeks getting redder by the minute. Then she faced me, her lips turned from a smile into a flat line.
"Robbie," she said.
"(Y/N)," I said. "Why didn't you go to school for four days?"
"Right," she said sitting in between me and Thomas. "Well my grandmother got in a small accident which got a bone to break in her shoulder. I was taking care of her." She said then she bursted into a fit of coughs. "Also I got sick and I still am but I forced myself to go to school even if I only have a few hours since I think I'm so behind right now."
I was about to ask something but then the school bell rang. I took my bag and went to my classroom. I saw Thomas and (Y/N) talking behind me. I guess their catching up but I keep on hearing (Y/N) coughing really hard and I can't help but worry.
When school was over, I was going to (Y/N) to be able to talk to her. I found her outside the Clinic. She was holding her forehead and Thomas was beside her with a concerned look.
"What happened?" I asked.
"She fainted and she's burning up with a fever now," Thomas replied.
"Can you please bring me home?" (Y/N) asked Thomas.
"Sure," he replied.
"I can drive the both of you," I offered.
"Thanks," she said with a small and weak smile.
"I'll just take my bags and books then let's go," Thomas said.
He stood up and ran going to his locker. I sat beside (Y/N) and I could see that she was tensed. I inched closer to her and she inched away from me.
"I'm sorry," I said. She looked at me with an expression of shock and confusion. "I'm sorry for the way I acted. You didn't really know that I have a girlfriend."
"It's alright Robbie," she said. Her voice was so weak that it was almost a whisper. "Thanks again for offering to drive me and Thomas."
"It's my pleasure," I replied with a smile. "Are we friends again?"
"Do you want to be?"
"Yes. I love your company. Do you want to be friends with a jerk like me?"
"Yes I do Robbie," she said with a huge smile. "And you're not a jerk. I think you just didn't know how to handle that type of situation."
We smiled at each other and I asked a question that I've wanted to sake her when I saw her and Thomas talking. "So you like Thomas now?"
I saw her blush and that's answer enough for me. "It was always Thomas. I'm sorry but you were just a distraction."
"It's alright. I can see that he likes you too."
She was about to reply but then Thomas came and the both of us tried not to laugh since we were just talking about him.
"Let's go?" I asked.
Thomas and (Y/N) nodded and we went in my car and took care of (Y/N).
