Also, I'm so sorry for not updating in a while. I was focused on "Moving On" and I have to tell you guys that next week, will be the start of my school year. So yeah, I might not be able to update that much but who knows right?
Thanks for the 79, 800+ reads!
Thomas Sangster X Reader
(Y/N) was watching a show on her television when she suddenly received a call from Thomas. It confused her for a moment why Thomas would call her. So she didn't answer it, thinking that it wasn't exactly her he was trying to call. But when he tried to call her again a second time, that was when she replied.
"Hello?" She answered as she turned the television into mute.
"Hi (Y/N). Sorry, were you busy?"
"No. Not really. Just wasn't sure I was the one who were really trying to call."
"Oh come on, just because we got divorced doesn't mean I don't want to talk to you."
"Can we not start this?" (Y/N) sighed. She didn't want to argue with him. "Why did you call Thomas?"
"I need you to be my date for the premiere of my movie next week."
(Y/N) couldn't help but laugh at what Thomas said. Truth is, she hasn't laughed at something Thomas said in a long while. At first she though he was joking, but when she heard him silent on the other line, her smile turned into a frown when she realized he was serious.
"Oh my gosh you're serious," she said as her laughter died down. "Well, what's wrong with Isabella?" Isabella was his current girlfriend who's a model, as far as she knew. She hasn't met the girl but (Y/N) wasn't jealous that Thomas has moved on after a year. She was happy for him in fact.
"She has a photo shoot on that day."
"She couldn't just cancel?"
"No she can't. Please come with me," he begged.
"Is she alright with this?"
"Yes she's fine. I've already asked her and she said it's alright. You do know that she's your biggest fan right?" (Y/N) was a famous and respected writer of a fantasy series as well as a sci-fi one. She's currently working on the sequel to the sci-fi one and has been told that her fantasy series will be turned into a movie or which she hopes will be a good one. "So will you come?"
"You keep asking that but you haven't even told me the date." (Y/N) took out her planner to see if her schedule was clear on whatever date Thomas needed her.
"September 21. 5pm." Thomas also told her the venue and (Y/N) was surprised that she was actually free by that time. But she had a book signing on that day starting from one o'clock until three. But she could still make it.
"Yeah, I'm free by then. Pick me up by my house on four okay?"
"Oh thank you!" Thomas exclaimed. "So what's the color of the dress you'll be wearing?"
"I don't know. Whatever looks nice, I guess. Why? You have a preference?"
There was a thing about Thomas that she found a little annoying, but never said anything against it. Thomas had this need for the both of them to match whenever they'd go to a party together. Even though she liked his little game of matching colors, it wasn't always fun to face his wrath when she doesn't match something with him. But that wasn't the reason why they got divorced.
It was simple really, in order for them to achieve their dream, they had to let go of one another. Now that they've achieved it, they were happy. The both of them have moved on and were still trying to be friends, but they were glad of each other's achievements.
"No. Just wear whatever you want," he replied which shocked (Y/N).
"Okay then. You do know the press will have a field day right? They'll think we're back together."
"As long as we know the truth, don't let it bother you. Besides, you've always been going to these premieres with me even when we were young. I'd still like my best friend to be with me."
(Y/N) didn't bother to say what she was thinking. That even if Thomas's words were sweet and true, it still didn't cover the fact that he didn't take her to any of his premieres for about a year. Granted, they just broke up last year, so that's a good reason.
"Alright. Well, I'll see you when I see you."
-
When they've gotten to the red carpet, standing right beside each other at the premiere, cameras were flashing at the two of them. Questions were asked left and right and both tried to answer as much as they could.
They explained that they weren't back together, but just decided to go to the premiere together, with her as moral support in the absence of his girlfriend. Of course, they knew that false rumors will spread about them and not everyone will believe them.
Surprisingly, things weren't awkward between the two of them. The ride towards there was fun even, they talked about her new book and his other projects. She talked about how she was a little stuck with one part of the book. He offered her his help, to which she politely declined.
In the premiere, she had met some of Thomas's co-stars, she's even met his leading lady and the both of them had a few good laughs about him. When it was time to watch the movie, Thomas and (Y/N) sat side by side and exchanged a smile. Truth is that they haven't talked ever since they got out of the car. Thomas was with his friends while (Y/N) put her social skills to use.
"Hey," she smiled at him.
"Hey," he smiled back. They were whispering since the movie was already starting. "You okay?"
"Yeah," she nodded. "I have something I want to tell you."
"What is it?" He leaned closer.
"Congratulations," she whispered. "You've got your dream and I've got mine."
"I thought you were going to say you were still in love with me," Thomas said playfully.
(Y/N) scoffed. "Not anymore Thomas." She couldn't help the laugh that left her lips. It wasn't that loud to disturb anyone beside her. "You? Are you still in love with me?" She asked playfully.
"Not anymore," he shook his head.
"And things worked out for the better."
"Yes they did."
A/N: I know it's weird, but yeah I like it. Yeah sorry for this, I really can't think of a good imagine anymore. My mind has been quite occupied with that fantasy book series that I'm still trying to write and with the other fanfiction that I have planned for you shanks. And since I've been watching Doctor Who and reading The Doctor and Rose fanfiction, I've been getting ideas but they won't fit with any of the four boys, but I don't think I'll be writing Doctor Who one-shots.....yet?
I've been thinking of ending this book already really. If I can't think of any other imagines. I mean, it's been a good run right? It's been a year and a few months and they've been good. But this won't be the final imagine if that would be the case, I like giving farewells.
