stell smiled when someone greeted him as he makes his towards their department. lots of other employees would greet them and he would just timidly smile at them.

"good morning, chief." justin greeted with a smile as soon as stell went inside their office.

"good morning too, justin. ang aga mo ah." justin only smiled at that and went back to the group of people by the television.

"what are you guys watching?" stell asked as he stood beside josh. the other handed him his strawberry frappuccino before answering.

"you know that vaudeville thingy? well, there had been another attack yesterday. now, the local police of the town are speculating that a serial killer might be behind these attacks."

"serial killer? why would a serial killer choose a small town to eliminate?" justin asked as he stood on the other side of stell.

stell looked at him while sipping in his drink before he answered.

"alam mo, justin, if you're a serial killer, you would always want to take on small towns instead of large cities. lesser people means lesser law reinforcement. meaning, wala masyadong nagbabantay." josh chuckled at stell's explanation.

"you know, if I wasn't a detective like you, i would think that you're the serial killer here. buti nalang alam kong detective ka kaya may knowledge ka sa mga ganyang bagay." stell scoffed at his remark. "boang."

"he's right, though. serial killers prefer small towns with less people and usually, yung mga malalayo sa mga city. i mean, it's easier to kill kung walang makakaalam diba?" it was felip who spoke, standing a few feet away josh. felip smirked, looking straight into stell's eyes and the other's eyebrows furrowed. why did he look at me like that?

"did he really just agree with you?" josh whispered to stell as soon as felip disappeared from their sight.

"ano ka ba, of course he knows that too. that's like a basic knowledge for detectives who work on cases like these."

"baka may change of heart, sir stell." justin whispered too and the both of them looked at him, questioning the way he was listening to them.

"ay, sorry po. sabi ko nga po una na 'ko eh hehe. bye po!" he said and walked away.
