Her Trial - August 18, 1832
Everyone thought Charlotte killed Hollybrass. My plan succeeded! Ha! I gracefully gave her a trial and to her embarrassment, every one of the crew said they believed was guilty. She was then (obviously) declared guilty. I put her in the brig and she is to be hung at dawn. After that, I plan to kill Zachariah and finally be done with this mess! I am a genius! The crew will be way too terrified to say anything of the events of this voyage and I will happily live the rest of my life in peace knowing... that I committed murder... No, I mustn't think like this. Charlotte Doyle deserves this. She's an obnoxious, stupid, unnatural girl who deserves to die. And she will.

*Charlotte's note*: This is crazy. It shows how hard a man's heart can turn in just a month. Jaggery, you went from being a gentleman and a loving father who just couldn't wait to get back to his child, to a murderer. A crude, bitter, and insane murderer who thought it was okay to take a 13-year-old girl's life because she embarrassed you. I wish we could have changed you back who you were. I miss you, not the person you turned into, but the person you used to be. The person you could have been. An amazing, caring father. A kind gentleman. But sadly, I couldn't see right through your lies from the beginning.
