"Chelsea! Chelsea!" Oliver shouted her name as he ran up the stairs quickly. "Chelsea." He fell down to the floor and cradled her in his arms, her skin was rose coloured flushed, like normal but her breathing was weak. "Chelsea, baby. Wake up." He pushed her hair out of the way from her face and brought her head up and kissed her forehead. The peck was long, like he was trying to warm her up.
"Oliver what's going on?" Sophie's voice entered the room and he looked at her.
"What did the paramedic say to you Sophie?"
"She just said that Chelsea would be fine after she fixed her." Sophie spoke gently as she closed the room. "Why?"
"Why was Alex here?"
"Who?" Sophie cocked her eyebrow and looked at him, but he shrugged his shoulders.
"Don't worry... Sorry, ignore that." They waited a good half hour before Chelsea came to. Her breathing had started again, and as she fluttered her eyes open she dragged a deep breath in and out a couple of times. Her vision was blurred but after a few blinks she could see.
"Oliver..." She croaked, looking up at him from the floor. He brought her up and hugged her tightly.
"Oh Chelsea. You gave me such a fright." He kissed her hair, and then her face. "What happened?"
"My dad died... And then that's all I remember."
"Sophie, can you go get your sister a glass of water please?" Sophie nodded and left the room. Once it was just them two, Chelsea sat up and crossed her legs staring at Oliver. "What happened?"
"I turned my emotions back on... Ollie, I'm so so sorry for what I said to you. I'm sorry I acted like a bitch, I'm sorry." She sobbed and wiped some tears, he smiled at her gently.
"It's okay Chelsea. I forgive you, it's not like I can't say I haven't lived like that before, because I have plenty of times."
"I just thought... That you and Zoey were seeing each other behind my back. I couldn't handle being hurt anymore, the pain that I felt when I saw you two in the window... Honestly. It killed me."
"Baby..." He whispered and grabbed her hands. "There wasn't and will never be anything going on between me and Zoey. I was helping her out."
"What do you mean?"
"I need to tell you, what's been happening whilst you've been gone." He looked at her straight faced, while she waited for him to speak.
"What's happened?"
"Well you've been gone for a couple of weeks now, so I'll get up to full speed. Zoey is a vampire, Alex is staying in town a lot longer than I guessed she would. Isabelle's back in town with Leo and... I guess that's it."
"Wait say the first line again." She interrupted.
"Yeah, I was meant to say to you as soon as you came home from hospital, Zoey is a vampire and has been for a few months now."
"How did I not know of this? Surely this is before I turned off my humanity."
"It was... But it was so sudden Chelsea."
"Why would you lie to me about something like that?" She took her hands away and looked away from him, staring at the blank wall on her side.
"Chelsea you've got to believe me. We was going to tell you, but it was so sudden and there was no other vampires in town that could turn her. We're still trying to find out who changed her."
"By 'we'?" She looked at him again, this time a scowl had formed on her face and her eyebrows squashed together.
"Alex and I."
"Oh so it's been you and Alex while I've been gone?"
"Are you seriously getting angry at me?" Oliver said defensively. "Chelsea, you were gone. There had been multiple deaths in and around the area, with no signs of vampires and one attack resulted in someone being transformed. We were the ones to find the bodies and to find out. You have got to stop assuming things like that."
"Oliver... Just tell me... Do you have feelings for anyone else in this town?" She looked at him, waiting for the reply. But he ignored her, she grew angry and threw her hands up and stood up quickly. As she stood up, she felt the blood rush to her head, and felt dizzy and falling straight back down to the floor, luckily Oliver caught her in time.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah... I'm just a little bit disorientated."
"Maybe you should go and rest. Come on I'll take you." He stood up and lifted her up into his arms. "Chelsea do you really think that I'd be here looking after you if I liked someone else. Well
Do you?" Chelsea shook her head. "well as a matter of fact I don't like you, I love you and nothing's going to change that."
A week later, Chelsea stood at the window and saw the car which had her fathers coffin in pull up outside. She gulped and straightened out her dress before leaving her room and going downstairs. As Chelsea walked outside she saw a few of the neighbours standing on their driveways or on the sidewalk, giving respect. Chelsea held her head up high as she walked down the steps, and saw her mother holding Sophie at the front of her watching as the car came to a halt. She watched as a man in a suit came and spoke to her, telling her that everything was ready, Chelsea knew that... It was time to say goodbye to her father for the last time. Oliver stood to meet her at the stairs and she waited two steps from the bottom before jumping into his arms and crying into his shoulder. He shushed her as he kissed her head and soothed her head. "It's going to be okay..." He spoke gently, helping her through it.
"Will it though?"
"Yes it will. It's just going to take time."
Alex walked back into the same diner and back to the same table to meet the Katie again. "I did what you asked."
"And for that I'm truly grateful."
"Now where is my daughter?" Alex slammed her fist down on the table, and watched as nobody moved an inch. "You told me you would help find her. I did what you asked and now I want my daughters whereabouts."
"It's going to take some time."
"What do you mean time?" Alex stood up and glared at Katie. "Kaitlyn, or Katie. Whatever you go by nowadays... Tell me where my daughter is or I will not hesitate to kill you."
"But if you kill me, you will never find out where she is." Katie smirked viciously and Alex huffed before walking away and out the door.
"My father... Was the kindest man you could ever meet." Chelsea started off, as she watched everyone who was in attendance of the funeral. "No matter how your day had been, he could always make you smile." She looked at her mother who was a blubbering mess and right next to her was Sophie who hugged her tightly wiping the tears away, she scattered her eyes across to the other side and saw Oliver, he warmed her up by smiling at her. "You know... When he first told us we were moving I was so against him, I didn't want to move. I loved where I was, but now as all these years have passed, I've grown to love where I live and that is all because of him. I met my best friends." She looked at Isabelle and Leo who were a few rows behind Oliver, and Zoey who was next to them. "I would've never met the guy sitting just there, who I have grown to love more and more each day, and that is all down to you dad." Chelsea choked back a few sobs and wiped her eyes with a hankie. "You all know when Father's say, their little girls will never get a boyfriend... Or the only man my daughter will ever have is me... Well with my dad, that was untrue... On certain parts at that." The people of the church chuckled. "Every day he would say to me... Have a good day darling... Or make sure no one upsets you sweetheart, and when I'd come home he'd asked me how my day had been. My dad was my hero, and I will love him forever..." She turned to his coffin and placed her hands on it. "I just wished I could've spent your last few moments with you... I love you daddy and I'll miss you. I'll never forget you." Chelsea broke down in a fit of tears, falling to the floor. The crowd gasped and Oliver quickly made his way to her, helping her back up from the floor and sitting down next to him. "I wished I spent my last moments with him before he left us..." She whispered to him and watched as he nodded his head and kissed her gently on the cheek. Chelsea watched silently as many people walked up to the alter and paid their respects to her father, as she sat there, her head pounded. Chelsea lifted her palm and placed it on her temple slowly rubbing it, a few moments later she passed out. Oliver twisted his head and felt Chelsea slam her head against his shoulder. He looked down and saw that her lips were parted but when he moved closer to hear her breathing, he couldn't hear anything, luckily for him the service had ended meaning he could take her home. Oliver picked up Chelsea in his arms and walked over to Christine letting her know that he was taking Chelsea back to his because she wasn't feeling well, her mother bought it and he left the church quickly and ran back home.
He lay her down on the couch and waited... Waited until the sun went down and the crickets had started to make a noise outside his slightly opened window. He slipped off his jacket eventually and grabbed himself a beer from the fridge. As he went to sit down, he heard someone approaching the door, he opened the door and was greeted by a young girl, not much younger than Chelsea looked. "Good evening I'm sorry to bother you, I'm a friend of Chelsea's." Katie lied. "I heard she was sick and she went home."
"Well this isn't her home, and how did you find her?"
"Well you see... I'm a witch, and as I was watching in the service today She didn't look too well. I just wanted to spell her and make her well again... Is that okay?"
"Well, I don't know... She should wake up in a bit."
"Do you really think vampires should be unconscious for this long?" Oliver knew there was something wrong, yet he didn't know what. "Well do you?"
"No."
"See you're lucky I'm around still, I'll help her. Trust me." Katie smiled at him angelically, little did he know the person inside the girls body wasn't smiling at him... Yet she was finally getting her revenge on him after all these years."
"Okay come in." He stepped aside and let her in.
Oliver watched from the corner of the room, Katie kneeled down beside Chelsea's unconscious body and placed both hands on her torso. Oliver watched as the girls hands glowed red underneath, and he listened as she whispered some foreign words. Katie stood up, and with her magic she physically pulled Chelsea's body up from the couch, and with a few more words, Katie dropped her body and left Oliver's place immediately. Oliver watched as she left swiftly, and Chelsea regained consciousness once again. "Hey... How are you feeling?"
"Weird.." She replied with a blank face. Oliver dropped to the floor and grabbed her hands.
"What do you mean weird?"
"Well I wasn't feeling myself since my dad died, but now this is completely different."
"Did you want a drink? Something to eat?" She shook her head. "What do you need?"
"I need you." She whispered, and pulled herself up and closer to him.
"I'm here to help you." Chelsea pulled his face closer to her and kissed him passionately.
"No, I need you." She threw her hands onto his shirt and started to take it off by opening the buttons. As she kissed him with urgency, he shook his head. He loved she was like this, but it wasn't right.
"Chelsea babe, not right now."
"Please Ollie..."
"You've just..."
"Please." She kissed him again, this time successfully opening his shirt and pushing it off gently. She could feel he wanted to do the same, yet he resisted the urge. "Oliver, stop resisting. I want this! I want you, right here." She pulled him and he moved, this time he was in control. He pushed her back down onto the couch and laid on top of her, he kissed him deeply, pouring emotion into the kiss. Oliver's growl pushed its way up through his throat. He raised his head, and looked into her dark eyes, before smiling gently and kissing her again.
"It's finished." Katie spoke, as she heard Alex step into the empty bar. She swirled the whiskey around in the glass and finished it off, feeling the burn as it scorched down her throat.
"What now?" Alex replied as she bent down and sat in the booth. She held her hand up in the air and caught the attention of the bartender, who took care of her order. He returned a few minutes later and she knocked it back like a shot.
"We wait."
"How Long? The time is ticking for me to find my daughter."
"It's a long and hard process, but you'll know when it'll happen."
"Why are you helping me?" Alex slammed her hand on the table and looked at Katie dead in the eyes. She smirked darkly and shook her head.
"I'm not helping you, I'm doing what I want to do. You're lucky that it's something you're involved in."
"I swear if you're lying to me..."
"I'm not." Katie got up from the booth and went to walk away but Alex grabbed onto her jacket and pulled her back.
"Where do you think you are going?"
"Don't talk to me like I'm a child. Anyway, I'm not needed any more."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm leaving the town now, I can't be found especially by Oliver."
"But why? I thought you was here for a reunion." Katie laughed in her face and shook her head.
"God no. I'm here to cause havoc on his life, now I know he's alive and now I know I can actually contact the living, my life has a purpose again."
"What has he done to you? To make you hate him so much?" Alex asked her and watched as Katie grew angry.
"He does many bad things to me in the last 400 years, and now I'm getting my own back. I will ruin his life if it will kill me." Katie turned away and walked out of the bar leaving Alex standing by the booth, bewildered.
