Chelsea watched as all the different sized cars whizzed past as she looked out of the window. She heard as her sister played with two dolls next to her and her parents in the front chatting amongst one another. She flicked through her music on her phone and listened to the track, which kept her calm before closing her eyes and resting for a while.

Chelsea woke up a few hours later, regaining her sight to see a truck stop. Sophie was sound asleep clutching the two dolls for dear life, her mother was sitting in the front clicking on her cell and her father was nowhere to be seen. "Mom where are we?" Chelsea spoke sleepily. Her mother turned around and looked at her.
"Your father just stopped off to get us a few beverages, and he's looking for a motel that we can stay in till the morning."
"But can't we just drive."
"Honey you aren't the one driving." She smiled. "Your father and I are taking turns at driving sweetie, but he needs a rest. We'll set off again in the morning." She smiled before looking at the door of the drivers side opening and Chelsea's father appearing.
"Okay, so I've got us some popcorn, and a few sodas. The guy in the store said there is a motel about 5 miles down the road, if we stay there tonight and get back on the road in the morning." He smiled at everyone in the car before sitting in the seat and buckling his seatbelt. Chelsea sighed and looked out the window again as they drove down the road, it had started to get dark now and the roads were empty, Chelsea glanced as they passed a sigh saying 'Ohio welcomes you'. All Chelsea did was sigh and lay her head against the window.

A few minutes later, her father pulled up outside a large discoloured building with a flashing sign saying 'Motel Open'. Chelsea took off her belt and got out of the car stretching her legs. She looked around, seeing the sunset just behind the building, and the nighttime kicking in. "We'll stay here tonight, and start our way again, come on let's get in." He spoke as he walked in front of them, Chelsea waited with her mother, slowly getting Sophie out of the car without disturbing her.
"Hi welcome to Ohio! How can I help?" The young woman spoke from behind the counter, the reception was empty, and the one flickering light in the back and just gone out.
"Hi, have you got a room just for tonight?" Her father spoke.
"Why of course we do! A family room suitable?"
"That'll be great. Thanks." The woman smiled and shoved a key over the desk. "thanks again."
"No problem, have a nice night. Check out is 8:30am." Chelsea's father nodded and guided his family to the room. Chelsea walked through the long hallways and shivered.
"What a great place to sleep tonight." She thought before walking into the room her father was in.

"Wake up! Time to go!" Chelsea's mom spoke loudly, jolting Chelsea and Sophie awake. "Come on, we have a few more hours of our journey left. We can get there if we go now." Chelsea groaned and looked at the clock, reading the early time and mentally crying. She pulled herself out of the bed and threw on the clothes she had on yesterday. She couldn't wait to get in the shower and clean all the nastiness off of her skin.
Her dad pulled away from the car park, driving through the town to the freeway. Chelsea's phone buzzed in her hand and she glanced at the name, appearing on the message. She read the message from Tommy.
"Chelsea please, we need to talk. I'm outside and trying to get in. I know you're up there, please answer the door." Chelsea chuckled and then quickly sighed before replying.
"Tommy I said it was over between us, I don't want to anymore. Plus I'm out."
"When will you be back?" Another message replied back instantly.
"Not for a long while." Chelsea wrote back for the last time, locking her phone and looking out of the car again.

A few hours later, the car went over the Pennsylvania border, welcoming them was a large sign, and a busy town. It was lively, a row of shops and bunch of people on the sidewalk. Chelsea looked at the place, looking as they went past a few grocery stores, some clothing stores and a bar. Her father navigated through the town and down a few streets before coming to a halt and putting the car in park. He turned at looked at the girls in the back. "We're here!"
"Yay!" Sophie squealed, while Chelsea grunted still tired from waking up early. Sophie yanked at her seatbelt trying to get it off so she could see the new house, yet she was stuck and her mother got out of the car and let her out.
Chelsea and her parents all stood at the gate, looking at the cute little house. It was far different from their old apartment, there wasn't the sound of hundreds of traffic going past either, and Chelsea missed that. A few moments later the removal vans showed up, and the men appeared out of the truck yawning loudly. She watched as her father greeted them and her mother took hold of Sophie's hand and walked to the front door of their new house. Chelsea followed her slowly, she looked around and saw only a few houses next to hers, maybe about 5 in a row before the street ended. They walked into the property, being greeted by the warmth, the hallway was small but roomy and on the left was the lounge at a good size. They looked all around the downstairs of the property before Chelsea walked off on her own upstairs looking for her room. She picked the last one, nearer the back of the lot. She opened the door and saw a bare room with neutral colours painted on the wall, and wooden flooring under her feet. She stepped into the room, and sat on the floor, crossing her legs and looking around. "This is my new home." Chelsea spoke to herself. "This is my future..." she continued to talk before looking at her phone again, another 5 missed calls from Tommy made her frustrated and she threw her phone to the floor and flopped onto her back, looking up at the ceiling.
