Alex stood in her room and rubbed her hands on her belly, which had grown considerably as the weeks past. She walked over to the piece of furniture that she built by herself and patted the makeshift pillow gently. She walked a little bit over to the room before screaming out in pain, the feeling like she was being stabbed had started and she looked down at the floor and saw the wet liquid underneath her. "What is happening?" She screamed out. "Henrietta, help me!" She screamed her maids name and she rushed in. "The baby, there's something wrong!"
"Alexandra, there's nothing to worry, baby is on way now." She spoke before leaving her in the room alone. Looking around frantically the pain subsided and Alex breathed out before sitting on her bed, rubbing the bump."Not long now sweetie." Henrietta shouted from the other room and came back in with towels. "How are you doing?" Alex shook her head.
"The pains gone."
"Don't worry, the baby will come when he's ready."
"He?" Alex looked up at Henrietta from the bed and she smiled warmly. Alex screamed out as the pain came rushing back, like she was being kicked in the head with a hard boot. She stood up and felt her dress she was wearing. "Henrietta, what's happening to me?"
Alex only being 19 at the time, and her mother dying when she was young her father left her to defend for herself. One night when she was walking around the small village that her family took shelter in, a man tall and dark introduced himself as 'Lance.'
"Good evening, Sir." Alex bowed before him and she smiled. "I trust you had a safe journey."
"Yes I did. Thank you for letting me and my men stay for a few days."
"It's my pleasure." Alex went to walk away but Lance grabbed her arm and pulled her back. "Oh, I'm sorry sir."
"What is your name?" He demanded.
"Alexandra, Sir."
"Alexandra, hmm. What a beautiful name." Alex turned around quickly and saw as her younger sister came running out from the woods, screaming.
"Katherine! Are you okay?" Alex fell down to the floor and stopped her.
"Alex, I am fine!" She stomped her feet on the ground and crossed her arms over her chest. "Toby was chasing me." Toby came out of the woods a few seconds after and came to a halt as soon as he saw Lance. He eyed him carefully and backed away, running back into the woods. "See what you did! Toby! Toby!" Katherine ran after him back into the wooded area.
"Katherine?"
"She is my sister Sir. But I look after her due to my father lacking his parenting duties." She faced him again as she got up from the dirty floor and dusted off her dress and brushed her hair out of her face. "I'm sorry sir. I have to go." She turned around and left him standing in the middle of the village, as he watched her he smirked, and then called his boys forward.
Weeks passed and Lance and his men were still in the village, he met up with Alex every day and followed her around every day, which made her nervous around him. One evening, Alex walked through the woods and picked up some branches that had fallen to the floor, so she could set up the fire in the middle of the village every evening. Alex whipped her body around quickly when she heard twigs snap under heavy feet and the heavy bodies that followed her. "Good evening gentlemen. How can I help?" They stayed quiet and grabbed the wood from Alex's arms and threw them far away. They grabbed her and pushed her against a large tree, holding her shoulders and her legs. She screamed and they put a dirty hand over her mouth, making Alex nearly vomit from all the dirt that had been smeared around her mouth. She looked past and saw a dark figure, running extremely fast, like lightening. He stood in front of her and held her against the tree trunk while he shooed his men away. "Lance, what are you doing?"
"Something I should've done long ago."
"What are you talking about?" She felt him rip the bottom of her dress off and he pushed against her. She screamed out loudly, she tried to fight him but he was too strong, he pushed against her again, harder and slammed her head against the tree, Alex screamed even louder when she felt him make her filthy, and hurt her. He slapped her round the cheek and growled deeply as he continued his assault on her and slapped his hand onto her mouth as he carried on. Alex was stuck, she let him do what he did to her, and cried as he hurt her. He dropped her to the floor, and she cried harder, Lance bent down and spat on her, and ran away.
She tried to pull the top of her dress down, as she slowly stood up from the floor but it was no use. She picked up the ripped bottom of her dress and wrapped it around her legs, she looked down and saw the blood that ran down her leg but she slowly and carefully walked from the tree and back to the village. As she entered the village, she saw Lance and his men with a few of the village people around the fire, drinking from cups and laughing about. She avoided his stare as she walked through and back to her father's hut. She walked into the room and gasped as she saw his dead body hanging from the ceiling, blood pouring from his neck. Alex screamed out and grabbed him down, his lifeless body dropped onto her, sending her onto the hard floor with a thump. "Daddy, no!" She cried into his bloodied shirt, and looked over to the corner of the room and saw her sister, Katherine laying on the floor lifeless and she dragged herself across the floor to her body and cried even harder.
"Okay push Alexandra! Push!" Henrietta spoke loudly over Alex's screams. "Come on push!" Alex obeyed her maid and pushed as hard as she could. The little cries of a baby were heard a few moments after and Henrietta smiled widely as she wrapped the tiny human in a cloth and passed her to Alex. "Well done sweet Alexandra. It's a girl." Alex cried as she held her newly born daughter. "What will you name her?"
"I was thinking about Emmaline-Katherine." (Em-uh-leen)
"That's very unusual, Alexandra."
"I know, but I want Katherine to be in her name." Henrietta nodded her head and took the bowl of water she brought in and tipped it outside. Henrietta looked up and saw a horse and carriage coming in the deserted village. The carriage stopped outside the room Alexandra was in and Henrietta took the advantage of asking who they were. They ignored her and pushed her out of the way, and went into the room with Alex in. "Who are you?" They stared at her, 2 women at the back and a man at the front, he grabbed Emmaline from Alex's arms and walked out of the room. The women stayed in the room with her and watched as Alex tried to get up. They walked over and pushed her back down on the bed, Alex screamed for Henrietta to get up and rescue her baby. Henrietta stood but was held against the wall by one of the woman. The woman cut open her wrist and placed it on Henrietta's mouth and all Alex could hear was the muffled moans of her screams. Alex looked down and saw the sheets covered in blood, which she knew was hers. The other woman who was standing above her, bent down and did exactly the same, feeding Alex her blood. She brought a dagger out from her pocket and stabbed Alexandra in the stomach and she screamed out. She fluttered her eyes to the corner of the room and saw Henrietta being killed, she watched as her body fell to the floor and the two women smirked and left the room. Alex listened out as the carriage pulled away into the darkness, she tried to pull the dagger out of her abdomen but it was no use, the blood kept spilling out. Her vision started to blur, and she closed her eyes as she felt the darkness creep up to her, swallowing her whole.
A few hours later Alex woke up on the blood stained bed, she winced as she woke and sat up. She breathed out and looked at the dagger that was still in her abdomen. She slowly put her hands and gripped the handle before breathing deeply and pulling the blade out. She looked down at the torn dress and looked at the wound, the massive gash on her stomach had started to heal. "What the hell?" She stood up from the bed and heard a rustling coming from outside. She walked out of the room and outside.
"No no no! What are you doing?" Henrietta shoved Alex back into the room and closed the door behind her.
"What do you mean what am I doing? I'm going outside, and trying to realise how the hell I am alive?"
"Don't you remember?"
"Remember what?" She looked at her best friend, and tried to get her to answer quicker.
"The blood sisters?"
"The what?"
"The blood sisters. The two women, who took Emmaline, and fed their blood to us, changing us into vampires."
"What the hell are you talking about Henri?" Alex raised her eyebrows. "We need to find Emmaline Henri, we need to find her. She's just hours old!" Alex jumped up and went for the door, Henrietta blocked her from moving.
"Let me past."
"No, if you go out there, you will burn and die! Haven't you heard about the legends." She handed a metal cup full of red liquid and Alex took it from her, sniffing it and coughing. "You need to drink this to complete the transition."
"Did you?" Henrietta nodded and smiled.
"It's not all bad Alexandra. We'll find Emmaline better this."
Alex held the cup to her lips and took the blood - completing the transition.

Eight years later, Alexandra was still searching for her missing daughter, no leads. Nothing. She walked along the dirt path and up a deserted trail before coming to a massive barn like house. Lights were on in the place and she picked up her dress and walked quickly towards the building. Three taps on the door and a young man answered, Alex smiled gently. "Good evening Sir."
"Good evening, what brings a young woman like you here?" He spoke quietly.
"I'm looking for my daughter. You haven't seen a young girl around."
"I'm afraid not Miss." He sighed, and watched Alex pretend to shiver. "Would you like to come in?" Alex nodded and stepped over the threshold, after being invited in.
"Here." The boy offered her a mug of warm tea and Alex grabbed the mug and sipped it.
"Thankyou." She smiled and looked at the boy. "What is your name?"
"My name is Oliver ma'am." Alex smiled and held out her hand, letting his grab it and shaking it.
"hello Oliver, my name is Alexandra." She brought her hand back and sipped her drink. " I want to thank you for letting me in." She placed the mug on the wooden table and stood up, Oliver followed her actions and stood in front of her.
"Have you a place to sleep?" He spoke gently, Alex shook her head.
"My father wouldn't mind you staying here for the night, plus it's going to be a cold one. We would love if you would stay."
"Oh I'd be too much of a bother."
"Non-sense."
"Are you sure?" She looked to him with wide eyes as he nodded.
"I'm very much sure, I'll get my sister down aswell. You can meet her." Oliver bowed and then left the running calling after his sister. Alexandra looked round the place, it was decorated nicely. A few pieces of China around the place complimented the room.
"Miss Alexandra, here is my sister Kaitlyn." Kaitlyn looked at Alex and stared at her. "My father, George." The man named George came over and shook Alex's hand.
"Good evening Alexandra. It's lovely of you to stay this evening. Have you eaten?" She shook her head. "Oh that's not good. I'll get the maid to serve you some food. Henrietta, dear come here please." Alex watched the door open and gasped as she saw her old friend Henrietta come into view.
"Alexandra?" Henrietta said as she came into the room. "What are you doing here?"
"No time for chit chat Henrietta, get the girl something to eat! She's starved!" George demanded and left the room.
A few hours later, Alexandra was placed in her room, which she grew to love as the night went on. She listened out, the last light switch turning off and the last heavy door that closed down the end of the hallway. She tiptoed around her room and opened the door. With her speed she looked around and straight down into the kitchen where Henrietta was standing at the bar, swigging a glass of bourbon. "Why are you here Alexandra?"
"Oh that's nice isn't it. What? No Hello Alexandra how have you been? Eight years sure gone by..." She walked around and stood opposite her, she grabbed the bottle of bourbon and took a gulp from it, smacking her lips together.
"Like I just said. Why are you here?"
"I want to find my daughter."
"You might as well leave it. She's probably dead anyways." Henrietta held her hands up in frustration, and Alex grew angry, throwing her against the wall and hissing, grabbing her by the throat and listening to the cracking of her bones.
"Don't you dare say that about my Emmaline." She hissed, bringing down her fangs and feeling the veins appear underneath her eyes. "She's missing and I will not stop finding her, I will rather kill myself than leave her." Alex pushed Henrietta's head back into the wall and let her go, strutting back over to the bar. "If you had just tried to stop them Henri, she would be with me. Safe and sound."
"You're blaming me?! Like really Alexandra? Me of all people."
"Well if the shoe fits!"
"I died because of you!" She shouted at her.
"I died also! Because you didn't help me find her! It's been eight years and you hadn't thought about trying to find her."
"She's not my problem."
"Well I'll make it your problem."
"How do you mean?" She stepped a little away from the wall. Alex walked over to the door and shoved it open, going into the hallway and dragging Kaitlyn back into the kitchen with her. "Did you enjoy the conversation?" She hissed her speech at Kaitlyn who stood there shaking.
"Kaitlyn go to bed." Kaitlyn tried to move but Alex tightened the grip on her arm.
"Oh no. I'm going to make you regret this Henrietta James. I'm going to make you pay for my daughters disappearance, I'm going to make you pay." She repeated over again, causing Henrietta to move closer. Alexandra turned to face Kaitlyn and put her hands on her cheeks, making sure her gaze was on her. "Now pay attention, listen to me..." Alexandra slowly said, gaining Kaitlyn's full focus. "You listening?" Kaitlyn nodded her head. "Good." Alex cleared her throat. "When you wake up as a newly turned vampire I want you to feed on your father, until he dies." Henrietta gasped and tried to step forward, but Alex held up her hand. "I want you to rip into his flesh and drain every last bit of blood." Alex turned her head and smirked at Henrietta. "And then I want you to turn it off."
"Turn what off?" Kaitlyn said in a daze.
"Your emotions, and then I don't ever want you to turn them back on. Do you understand?" Kaitlyn nodded slowly. "Here is a mixture, drink it now. It's laced with a special mixture so you won't forget what to do when you wake, and it's also my blood." Kaitlyn grabbed the vile and put it to her lips, drinking it.
"No Kaitlyn don't do it." Henrietta spoke loudly, Alex turned her head and hissed throwing her into the wall again and watched her struggle to get up.
"You haven't fed in a long time, which makes me stronger than you." Alex moved back in front of Kaitlyn and turned her to face Henrietta, they watched as she got up and moved closer. "One more step and she dies." Henrietta moved that one inch and Kaitlyn's neck twisted to one side, and the crack of her spine shattering filled the room. Alexandra clapped her hands together, and brushed her clothes down. "Good luck, you're going to need it." She smirked viciously and walked out of the rear door into the cold night and strutted her way through the fields.
