P.S - My friend wrote this
The sun was blazing high above, casting a golden glow over the clear waters of the Hawaiian beach. The trip had been planned for months—Nick, Matt, Chris, their best friend Nate, and Y/N, who just so happened to be dating Nate.
The waves rolled gently onto the shore as Y/N stood knee-deep in the water, stretching her arms out toward Nate, who was swimming her way.
"Babe, you're an awful swimmer," Nate called, reaching for her hand as he got close.
Y/N gasped dramatically. "Excuse me? I was the best in my swim class when I was in the six Grade "
Chris, lounging lazily on a bright orange float nearby, snickered. "Oh yeah? What happened after that? You just gave up swimming for life?"
Nick, wading next to Matt, chuckled. "If Y/N ever gets stuck in the ocean, she's done for."
Y/N crossed her arms, mock offended. "Wow. I can't believe you guys."
Matt raised an eyebrow. "You kinda do look like you're flailing around out here."
Before she could retort, Nate suddenly scooped her up and tossed her backward into the water. She squealed as she hit the surface, emerging with a mix of laughter and coughing.
"NATHAN!" she splashed him, a grin tugging at her lips. "You're so lucky I love you."
Chris faked a gag. "Gross. Someone call a lifeguard."
Nate shot back, grinning. "What's the matter, Chris? Jealous I get more attention than you?"
Chris raised an eyebrow. "No girls here, but at least I still have my dignity."
The group burst into laughter as they spent the rest of the afternoon swimming, tackling each other in the waves, and burying Matt in the sand just for fun.
Later that night...
The warm Hawaiian air drifted through the open windows of their beachside resort, filling the room with the scent of the ocean and tropical flowers. The triplets shared one room, while Nate had his own. Y/N's room was supposed to be down the hall—supposed being the key word.
Chris was lying on his bed, scrolling through his phone when he heard soft footsteps. He glanced up just in time to see Y/N, dressed in an oversized Nate t-shirt and shorts, sneak past their room.
A sly grin spread across his face.
"Oh, Y/N," Chris called out, making her freeze in the doorway. "Going somewhere?"
Y/N turned around, putting on an innocent expression. "Just getting some water."
Chris raised an eyebrow. "Water? At Nate's room? Damn, didn't know he had a special hydration station over there."
Nick groaned from his bed, half-asleep. "Chris, seriously, shut up."
Matt cracked an eye open. "Dude, it's the same thing every night. We know exactly where she's going."
Chris leaned back against the headboard, smirking. "If you keep sneaking off like this, we might have to charge you rent."
Y/N rolled her eyes. "You're so annoying."
Chris gasped dramatically. "Annoying? I'm just stating the facts." He wiggled his eyebrows. "So, uh... should we put on headphones tonight?"
Y/N's face turned bright red. "CHRIS!"
Matt groaned and tossed a pillow at him. "Dude, stop."
Chris dodged it, laughing. "What? I'm just saying, if you two are... busy—"
Nick shot up from his bed, rubbing his face. "Shut it, Chris, before I lose it."
Y/N, mortified, covered her face with her hands. "You guys are the worst."
Chris waved at her teasingly. "Tell Nate I said hi."
Without another word, Y/N turned and bolted toward Nate's room. The moment the door clicked shut behind her, the triplets burst into laughter.
Matt shook his head. "You really love making her uncomfortable, don't you?"
Chris grinned. "It's a gift."
Back in Nate's room, Y/N flopped onto the bed next to him, still blushing.
"What took you so long?" Nate asked, pulling her close.
Y/N groaned. "Chris is the worst."
Nate chuckled. "What did he say now?"
Y/N buried her face in his chest. "He asked if we should put on headphones tonight."
Nate paused for a second before bursting into laughter. "Oh man, he's never going to let us live this down."
Y/N sighed. "Nope. Not a chance."
But as she lay there, wrapped up in Nate's arms, listening to the calming sound of the waves crashing outside, she realized—Chris might be annoying, but she wouldn't trade this trip, or these moments, for anything.
