It was a quiet evening in Boston. The Sturniolo household was filled with the usual sounds of dinner being made, the TV playing in the background, and the gentle hum of family life. But in Matt's room, everything was calm. His bedroom was his sanctuary, a place where he could unwind after long days of practice, school, and the endless attention he got from being popular.

Matt sat propped up against the headboard, his hair still damp from the shower he'd just taken. YN sat next to him on the bed, carefully combing through his wet hair with her fingers. She loved the quiet moments like these, when it was just the two of them, no distractions. The soft scent of his shampoo mixed with the faint smell of his cologne lingered in the air, creating a perfect, comforting atmosphere.

"Your hair's so soft," she murmured, running her fingers through it. Matt's eyes were half-closed, a content smile on his face as he leaned into her touch.

"You always know how to make me feel good, huh?" he said, his voice low, a gentle laugh escaping his lips.

YN chuckled softly, brushing his hair back from his face. "You make it easy," she replied, meeting his gaze. "You're perfect the way you are."

He didn't respond at first. Instead, Matt just stopped talking altogether, his focus turning inward. He stared into YN's eyes, lost in the depth of her gaze. It felt like time had slowed down, and all that mattered was this moment, right here, right now, with her. There was no need for words, but they were both thinking the same thing.

YN felt the weight of his stare, a shiver running down her spine. "What?" she asked softly, her voice barely a whisper, her cheeks flushing under the intensity of his look.

"Nothing," Matt replied, a grin slowly spreading across his face. "I just love you. So deeply in love with you, my pretty girl."

YN's heart swelled, a smile forming on her own lips as she brushed a stray lock of hair behind his ear. "Same," she said, her voice steady despite the warmth in her chest. "I'm in love with you, too, pretty boy."

Matt's grin widened at her words, and before she could say anything else, he pulled her into a deep kiss. The kiss was slow and tender, full of the love they had for each other. It felt like the whole world had faded away, leaving just the two of them tangled up in each other.

As the kiss deepened, they both found themselves slowly drifting, their bodies relaxing into the softness of the bed, their hands entwined. Eventually, they fell asleep in each other's arms, wrapped up in the warmth of their love.

The next morning came quickly. The sunlight filtered through the curtains of Matt's room, casting a warm glow on the bed where he and YN had spent the night. The sound of the house waking up filled the air, the distant clatter of footsteps and the smell of breakfast drifting up the stairs.

YN stirred first, stretching slightly before she felt Matt still beside her. He had his arm draped over her, and she smiled at the warmth he gave off even while sleeping. Carefully, she got up, not wanting to disturb him. She grabbed her clothes from the corner of the room and slipped into the bathroom to get ready for school.

When she came back out, Matt was up, already pulling on a hoodie. He looked at her with a tired smile, and they exchanged a quiet look of affection. Matt ruffled his hair, looking at her with the same tenderness he always did.

Soon enough, Matt, YN, Nick, and Chris were all getting into Matt's van, heading to school. Matt was driving, as usual, with Chris in the passenger seat and Nick and YN in the back. The ride was filled with casual conversation, but there was something different about YN this morning—she was glowing. Her cheeks had a little extra color, and her smile was brighter than usual. She was practically radiating happiness, and Matt couldn't help but glance at her from time to time with a soft smile on his lips.

Nick, sitting next to her in the backseat, noticed right away. "What's with you this morning?" he asked, leaning over with a smirk. "You're like... super shiny. What's going on?"

YN glanced at him, a shy smile tugging at her lips. "Nothing, just feeling good," she replied, though the way her cheeks flushed gave her away.

"Are you sure?" Nick prodded. "You look like you just fell in love or something."

YN laughed softly, the lighthearted teasing from Nick making her feel at ease. "I kind of did," she said, her voice almost a whisper. "I spent the night with Matt, just talking, and it was perfect. He told me he loved me, and it just... made me feel so happy."

Nick raised his eyebrows, his grin widening. "Oh, so you're all googly-eyed now, huh?" He then pulled her into a quick hug, his arms wrapping around her in a friendly, tight embrace. "You're making him a big softy, aren't you?" he teased.

YN giggled, leaning into the hug. "Shut up," she said, playfully swatting his chest. "He's a big softy all on his own."

Nick laughed, pulling away from her. "I'm just saying, you're glowing this morning. You're happy. And I'm happy for you."

Matt, who had been listening quietly from the front, smiled at the exchange in the rearview mirror. "Yeah, YN," he said, his voice warm and full of affection. "You deserve to be happy."

YN's heart melted at Matt's words, and she reached up to squeeze his shoulder. "Thanks, Matt."

When they arrived at school, the usual morning bustle of students greeted them. Everyone went their separate ways, but YN couldn't shake the feeling that everything was right. The teasing from Nick had been lighthearted, but the love Matt had shown her last night made her feel like the luckiest girl in the world. And today, she felt like she could take on anything with him by her side.
