I went out in the garden the next day in search of one of the brothers while wearing a white and purple floral print halter-neck one-piece that went down to a bit below my knees which was another dress I had to fix after it was demonized by all those gems, beads, laces, and way too revealing.

As I have already mentioned before, as a student in college, I was learning about clothes to become a seamstress so seeing what these people had turned these dresses into I simply had to do something about it but it was really difficult to do so while still trying to follow this time's fashion trends.

Well, whatever. I didn't really care about that anymore since I was going to die soon anyway and was currently focused on finding one of the brothers to just hurry it up and kill me instead cause I already knew that as a villainess, there was honestly no good ending for me. And there never was or is going to be a good ending for me. And right before I got sent into this world, I remember getting shot in the shoulder and banging my head on one of the steel poles before blacking out.

So since I know that in this game, the villainess usually dies from the neglect of her "family", the heroine, one of the princes running for the thrown, the priest, or the master of the magic tower, and that she mostly died from the neglect of her family I knew that I could literally just go walk in front of the brothers and they'd gladly slice my neck off so... Yeah. It probablyly won't take much for me to convince those bastards to kill me!

-----

Or so I thought...

'Just why is he so against killing me?!' I was currently chasing Avis around the mansion who was running for his life doing parkour and whatever other shit.

"Why are you running?!" I yelled as he jumped off the balcony of a guest room and grabbed the railing of the one right under it before swinging his feet and letting go of the railing to land on the grass of the solid ground.

He simply ignored me and kept running as I ran my hand through my hair while trying to catch my breath with my brows knitted together in frustration. I couldn't help but click my tongue at this sudden change of attitude in him.

Now you might be wondering what the fuck is going on here. Well, I am honestly wondering the same so let me just quickly rewind through everything that has just happened in the last few hours or so.

.......

I was looking for one of the brothers when I suddenly bumped into Avis while doing so.

"Watch where you're going!" He scowled immediately sending a wave of urge through me telling me to punch him.

"Tsk. How useless do you have to be?" He grumbled under his breath as he turned around to walk away.

'At least I'm not gonna be the who's going to be balding at 25.' I made sure to keep my smile plastered on my face as I silently insulted him in my mind.

'Oh, yeah.' I suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him back remembering I had to get him to kill me.

'2% huh? This should be easy.' I examined the percentage on his neck carefully before turning my facade back on.

"What the hell are you-" "Brother! I have a favor to ask from you." I cut him off still smiling sweetly as if I hadn't just almost gagged when I had to call him "brother".

"Favor? You've got some nerve asking me for a favor after all the disgrace you've caused us. You should be grateful we're even letting you stay here for this long-" "Please kill me!" I cut him off trying my best to keep my calm as I pointed to his sword.

"... What...?" Avis's eyes grew in surprise.

'This deaf motherfu-' "Please kill me." I repeated making sure that I didn't break my smile which only seemed to creep Avis out even more.

"What?! No! Why would I-" "Just do it."

"No! Father would kill me!"

"That's what you think, but he won't."

"Yes, he will!"

"He won't."

"He will!"

"He won't."

"He will!"

"He won't."

"He will!"

"He won't."

"He will!"

"He won't."

"He will!"

"He won't."

"He will!"

"He won't."

"He will!"

"He won't."

"He-" "Shut up and just do it already."

"No! Have you finally lost your mind?!"

"Yes, no, maybe so. I don't know. Now will you hurry up or what?" I finally broke my smile and looked at him with a blank expression once my jaw started to hurt which only seemed to freak Avis out even more.

'And here I was thinking that he would be brave considering that he's a soldier or whatever. Guess not.'

"I... Have to go!" He yanked his arm away from my grip and ran as if his life depended on it leaving me standing dumb-founded for a good 2 seconds.

"Shit!" I cursed as a frown made its way up to my face while I chased after him wondering what I had done wrong.

'Did she get possessed or did she just hit her head?! Why the hell would she ask me to do that?!' Avis ran faster trying to get away from me but I was gaining on him which made him believe that I was possessed even more.

Meanwhile, I was trying to figure out what the hell I did wrong and why the hell he was running away from me while chasing him around the garden and into the estate.

Even though he was a literal knight I seemed to be keeping up with him pretty well which just made him panic even more though he calmed down a bit after noticing that I was tiring myself out from this chase and finally slowing down a bit.

.......

And... You know the rest.

So now here I am. Back in my room drying my hair after taking a very much-needed warm shower after all that running trying to figure out just why he went hoppity hop hop instead of just fulfilling my request

I still didn't have a maid but didn't give a damn since this just let me act more freely in my room and freely write my plans on how to deal with the events in this game or just find a way to get out of it without worrying about anyone seeing me.

"Tsk. I still couldn't catch him even though I chased him around the whole estate, garden, training ground, and whatever else exists in this unnecessarily huge area until sunset." I grumbled under my breath in annoyance.

I had expected Avis to be the easiest to convince to kill me since the other two, unlike Avis, cared about their reputation and were extremely cautious about anything they did. But now that even Avis was refusing to kill me I was kinda starting to lose hope of ever getting out of this game.

'Yeah, no. Not happening.' I immediately pushed that thought out of my mind remembering the future that awaited Sovine.

'Guess I'll just have to annoy the hell out of him or one of the other brothers till they kill me.'  I leaned back in my seat and smirked to myself.

'This is going to be fun.' My smirk grew wider and sinister holding a hint of menace in it before I heard the door creek.

My expression immediately dropped into a blank one as I turned to the door to see who it was. It was Egestas, and he was staring at me with his face scrunched up in disgust and suspicion as he slowly shut the door again.

'Well, that sucks.' It was clear by the look he had on his that he had seen the expression I had on my face before noticing him.

But I simply did not care anymore. Since my plan was to already annoy them into killing me from the very beginning so it didn't matter even if he thought I was a total weirdo, maniac, or even pathetic since I was going to make him think that way sooner or later anyway.

I suddenly heard my bedroom door swing open without even a single knock which immediately brought the memories of my siblings barging into my room back into my mind but instead saw the same maid who silled mop water on me walk into the room confidently with the tray of food.

'Ah... I remember her.' Was my first thought seeing her before she suddenly shoved the tray in my arm instead of putting it down on the table like a normal human being which caused some of the soup to spill on the blouse of my dress as my eyes grew wide in surprise before immediately narrowing into a glare as I looked up at her.

"How dare you look at me like that!" She let out an exaggerated gasp before she slapped me forcing my face to the side from the impact at the exact same place Luden had a few days ago.

It had recovered well and was almost completely healed through the last few days so I didn't have to wear a bandage on it anymore but now that this bitch had slapped me again it began growing red again as she huffed proudly crossing her arms over her chest.

'Hm...' I grazed a finger on the area which was still stinging from the slap while looking down at the couch beside my hand.

I didn't do anything to her the first time since the other two were in the room and I was still in the delusion that this was all just a dream but since I was going to stay here for a while longer now anyway...

'I guess it is about time I taught these fools some respect and secured my position at least in this estate before I leave.' I turned my gaze from the couch to up to her coldly gazing into her eyes which made her eyebrows knit together in anger and frustration.

"You-!" She raised her hand up to slap me again but this time I caught her wrist as I stood up from my seat on the couch towering over her small frame while coldly staring down at her with the bitterness clearly displayed in my eyes.

'Now that I don't have to care about dying... I can do this!' I slapped her harshly across the face as her head instantly flew to the side shock displayed on her features.

"What? You didn't expect that I would slap you back?" I glared down at her raising a brow as I asked the question.

"You... How dare-" I cut her off mid-sentence with another harsh slap to her cheek.

"Don't act like you're above me. You're my maid, treat me with respect." I warned her while my icy glare sent shivers down her spine for no apparent reason.

'Why... Why am I afraid...? I shouldn't be afraid! No matter how tough she might be trying to act this is still the same pathetic girl that I've been tormenting all this time while she just took it! I have nothing to be afraid of!' Rage rushed the maid as she raised her hand to strike back.

However, I grabbed her wrist once more before she could even reach me and managed to catch her off-guard before sending yet another sharp slap to her cheek.

"It seems you still don't get it, I'm surprised someone can lack common sense to this extent." I signed in irritation before a mischevious smirk slowly made its way up to my face.

"I guess I'll just have to help you get it back." I replaced my smirk with an overly sweet smile the very next second.

-----

And just like that, the maid was now tied and hanging upside down off the branch of the tallest tree in the garden. With her mouth taped, I was surprised they had tape in this time period but managed to find some anyway.

"Mmphhhh! Mph! Mm! Nguh!" The maid struggled to get out while I flipped my hair back and turned my back to her muffled protests as I began walking back to the estate.

Soon after I turned my back to the struggling maid and began returning back to my estate, the other servants in the garden began gathering quickly muttering and whispering about his I must've gone mad.

They were so loud it couldn't even be considered whispering. Soon enough, Luden heard of what happened, Luden stormed into my room seeming even more enraged than usual. But I didn't care.

"What did I tell you?!" Luden marched over to me disturbing my meal which of course caused me to sigh in irritation considering that it had to be delayed due to that maid before as well and now he had come to annoy me.

"You said to not look "pathetic", and I'd say I look quite pretty right now wouldn't you agree?" I asked with my most annoying smile as I rested my head on my hand.

"Don't talk smart with me!" Luden yelled taking a step closer to me with the intention of intimidating me, in which he utterly failed.

"Rumors of how you've gone mad have been spreading like wildfire!" Luden declared as if I didn't already know that.

"And?" I asked clearly uninterested in whatever he was saying as I stabbed my fork into the sliced apple on my plate before taking a bit out of it, which apparently wasn't elegant but Luden didn't have the time or leisure to pick at that right now.

It was pretty clear I didn't care what happened so there was no point in lecturing me on it. Which apparently meant now he had to take care of it according to his logic. And also assigned a new maid for me since the exact same was repeated when the maid returned to my room the very next day.

The next day, I realized that there was a new maid standing in my doorway. This one sported short baby blue hair that barely went above her shoulder and the roundest sage green eyes which made her seem even more adorable than she already was.

'SHE'S SO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!'

"And you are?" I tilted my head at the girl not allowing just how much I was fawning over her looks show.

"Ardeat Nilie, my lady." The maid responded bowing respectfully as she did so.

"Now then... I trust you know what you have to do now..." I felt a small inkling of satisfaction as I saw her nod in response.

"I, Ardeat, from this moment forward pledge my loyalty to my master Sovine Divinus. From this point forward I am to faithfully follow and support her in any decision she finds suitable and to serve her to my fullest ability until the day I die. I am_____" The maid continued rambling on about something about serving me to her death while I simply stood there staring down at her kneeling figure in confusion completely dumbfounded.

'I was just going to ask her to bring up my food-' I continued to stand there dumb-founded as she continued talking about serving me till the day I die and how she was going to do it and everything while all I wanted was my food warmed.

'Hold on... This pledge sounds somewhat familiar for some reason...' I released my hands from behind my back and crossed them over my chest slightly looking up towards the ceiling when I suddenly recalled a scene in the game where the master of the magic tower made a lifelong pledge to the protagonist of the game that then was sealed with the appearance of a magic circle emerging on the right side of both of their necks which sounded awfully similar to this one.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime pledge that couples usually said to each other during or after their wedding to prove their loyalty to each other. And since the protagonist was always fated to fall in love and marry the crown prince the master of the magic tower basically just wasted his pledge on his unrequited love for the protagonist. Usually, I would feel sympathy for this guy and I actually did while playing the game, however. Since this is going to be the guy who is the reason for my, aka Sovine's imprisonment in eternal darkness and pain, I feel no sympathy for him whatsoever.

'Hold on- Is she wasting this once-in-a-lifetime pledge on me?!' I immediately snapped my head back to Ardeat to stop but by that time she had already finished saying the pledge to me.

I watched in panic as a sudden sage green light resembling the color of Ardeat's eyes flashed from the right side of my neck indicating that the damage was done. The pledge had been made and sealed all at once.

I sighed in frustration releasing my arms from above my chest as I ran my hand through my hair in frustration while resting the other one on my hip as Ardeat respectfully excused herself and simply left the room.

'Seriously...? Well, at least I won't have to worry about her lying to me anymore, not like I was anyway though...' I knew that Ardeat wouldn't tell anyone about this since she knew that if she did so I could simply start spreading rumors about her attempting to drown me and get her executed.

"Tsk... As if I didn't feel guilty enough before while bringing her over to my side, now I'll just feel even guiltier while making one of those bastards kill me since she just wasted her damn pledge on me!" I grumbled under my breath in annoyance before collapsing on my bed.

I didn't even care about the food anymore. My brain urgently needed a break right now.

To be continued...
