A few minutes later
Tony's house, Malibu

No one's pov:

The house was quiet. Agent Coulson is drinking a coffee in the kitchen while playing some games on his phone.
Y/n, who is standing on the balcony, convinced him to not call anyone to collect Tony from the office.

They are taking everything in. The sound of the waves crushing against the cliff, the wind blowing through their hair, the sun shining on their skin... They felt peace for the first time in their life. Even with everything that is going on this, for Y/n at least, is one of the most peaceful moments in a lifetime. If they could, they would stop time and live in this moment forever but, just like all beautiful things, this has to come to an end.

Tony's car could be heard from no one but the shifter and at the sound of that they walk away towards the main entrance.

Y/n pov:

I walk up to the front door and as I open it I see Tony trying to take, what looks like, a whole model of the city.
As he turns around and sees me there, trying to stiffen my laugh at this scene.
He gives me a death glare.

"Would you mind helping?"

"What do I get in return?"

"I'll get you a fucking motorcycle if you help me take this downstairs!"

My mouth drops at this. Is he serious?
"Wait, you for real? I would have done it for a simple ice cream."
I go toward him and we take that thing off the car

"You've wanted it for a long time. It's time to get you a vehicle, don't you think?"

"I obviously will not say no to that."

We take that stuff downstairs, in the lab, and assemble it.

"Wait so I can choose which one I get?"

He rolls his eyes with a smile.

"Yes but not over 125cc. I don't need you hitting every wall of Malibu with a new bike. Jarvis could you kindly perform a digital wireframe?"

"I need a manipulable projection"

"Come on man. That's not fair"

"After you learn you'll get a new one. And besides, you have to wait untill you're 21 to get a bigger one"

He's right about that. While Jarvis scans the thing I go sit in a chair behind him and watch what he's doing with curiosity.

"1974 Stark Expo model scanning complete, sir."

"How many buildings are there?"

"Am I to include the Belgian waffle stand?"

"It was rhetorical. Just show me"

I love when he does this stuff. It's really cool and I'm actually trying to learn something.

He turns to me.
"What does it look to you,
Y/n?"

"Could it be some sort of atom?"

I get up and walk towards him

"In which this..." I point to the world model
"...is the nucleus"

"I was thinking the same. Good job."

"Highlight the Unisphere"
"Notice the footpaths? Get rid of them."

"What is it you're trying to achieve, sir?"

"I'm discovering... Hum correction, rediscovering... A new element"

"Loose the landscape"

"And the shrubere there, trees, parking lots..."

"The entrances too."

I'm now standing beside him.

"Structure protons and neutrons using falgs, the pavilion as the framework."

Jarvis does what he's told and soon we have a new atomic structure in front of us.

Tony makes it bigger and now it's all around the place. It's like magic but with science. We look around amazed by all of this.

"Dead for almost twenty years... Still taking me to school"

"The proposed element should serve as a viable replacement for palladium"

We look at each other after the AI says this.

He nods and looks at the element structure, now in his hand.

"Thanks dad..."

"Unfortunately it is impossible to synthesize"

"Jarvis you should know that, nothing is impossible"
I smirk and look at Tony who has the same expression as me.

"Get ready for major remodel fellas! We're back in hardware mode!"

And with that we get to work.
While I go get changed in more comfortable clothes I hear him breaking a wall downstairs. I'm now in cargos and a tank top. I get back downstairs and help him connect a few wires and of course breaking the pavement to get everything easily to the lab.

We set up a few metallic coils and connect them to get more force in the laser that will hit a small glass at the center of the room. In the glass there are a few other elements that when in contact with the energy from the laser, will fuse to the new element that we need...
or everything goes wrong and we explode. Could go both ways.

Coulson comes down to see how everything goes. I almost forgot about him.

"Is it good now?"
I ask Tony as we need everything exactly on the same level.

"Nope but this time the problem is the other one"

"For god's sake"
I let myself fall to the ground.

"How did you break the perimeter?"

We both turn to Coulson.

"Oh yeah, that was like three years ago. Where have you been?"

"I was doing some stuff"

"Yeah well we were too and it worked"

"Hey I'm playing for the home team Coulson. You and your fabulous furry freak brothers. Let me work or break my balls?"

I laugh at this and fist bump Tony while getting some water.

"What's this doing here?"

We turn to him and we see something that I don't recognize but why should I care.

"That's it."

I look at him with a confused look.

"Bring it to me"

"You know what this is?"

"It's exactly what I need to make all this work"

"Lift the coil. Go, go. Put your knees under it. There you go"

I see if it's leveled correctly and it is. Finally I must say.

"Good job, that's it. Perfectly level"

"We're busy what do you want?"
He says as we both turn to Coulson.

"Good-bye. I've been reassigned. Director Fury wants me in New Mexico"

"Fantastic, the Land of enchantment."

"So I've been told"

"Secret stuff?"

"Something like that... Good luck.

"Bye" "see ya man"

"We need you"

"Yeah, more then you know"

"Not that much"

And with that he walks away.
After a few minutes of checking if everything is in the right place, we get to the hard part.

We put some protections on and Tony rotates a valve with some fatigue.
After that a laser start to cut through everything until it gets it to the glass in the centre.
The piece of glass starts lighting up with blue light. I stop the laser before it collapses on itself and we look at that thing.

"That was easy..."
Tony walks over to it and takes it with a pair of tweezers.

"Congratulations, you have created a new element"

We put it in the new arc-reactor we made and Jarvis starts to scansionate it to see if it's ok to use it without repercussions.
Now we just wait and see....
