"Hey, there's a plant part here!" I say, slamming the book shut (on my hand) in excitement.

"Ow!"

"WAIT! There's a water one too!" Lapis says, opening the book again to my stinging fingers.

I wait for her to finish reading, then flip onto part III, water related magic and the such.

"Let's see here... aha! Here, you should try this out!" I say, pointing to a certain spell, titled 'Changing the Temperatures of Water and Other Liquids'.

"Let's get off the roof first," Lapis says, pointing out the fact that we were still on the roof.

"Right..." I reply sheepishly, and we open a trapdoor in the roof to a ladder that leads into the attic, "I forgot that this thing existed."

When we get back inside, I start to read the instructions out loud.

"First comes a finger in water blue,

Then think of a temperature, whatever suits you,

It will only work if you have Lily blood, true,

Finally, the spell would work, if you knew."

I finish saying it, and my mouth felt a little dry.

Just as a joke, I say, "I could totally use some cold water right now, but we don't have any. Could you make me a glass from the warm water we have?"

"Haha, how very funny, Jade." Lapis tells me, going down the stairs that lead downstairs.

I follow her to the kitchen to get us a glass of water each.

What if she actually does it? Well, she probably will, considering she's a Lily.

"I'll go get some lemons to squeeze into the water," I say heading to the fridge.

As I open the fridge, I hear a squeal of joy from the other room.

Success eh?

I walk back into the room, and two cold-as-ice glasses of water were right there on the table, waiting for me.

"Hey, good job!" I tell her, and she was beaming with pride, and I smiled back at her.

Then I yawned, and all of a sudden, became very tired.

I sat down on a chair heavily, and my eyes fluttered, before the world became darkness.

"Jade? JADE!!!"

My head thumped on the hard wooden table.
