I don't remember going to bed last night, I don't even remember waking up this morning. I could tell that I got some sleep, though. I check my phone again and it's already 11:00 o' clock. I got a text from Josh that was sent around 2:00 in the morning.
Josh: hi. sorry.
It then hit me what had happened. I could've forgotten about it all. I decided I'd call him, it would only continue to get worse if I didn't.
It rang for a while.
No answer.
He's probably still asleep since he went to bed so late.
Josh's P.o.V.
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I wasn't able to process what was happening until the ringing stopped. I looked at my phone and sighed. I missed a call from (Y/n). I was just about to call her back until I had a better idea.
I jumped out of bed and got changed. I ran out to my car and began driving to (Y/n)'s house. I parked outside of her house and ran up to her front door. I knocked a few times and waited. It took a while but she did eventually open the door. Before she said anything I ran up to her and hugged her. "Don't say anything, I'm just glad to see you're okay," I said.
"Everything's fine, no, everything's great," she said, sounding relieved.
"I'm not pressuring you but I just want you to know that I'm your friend and you can tell me anything."
Your P.o.V.
Friend.
Oh, how I hated using that word to describe Josh. Sure that's what we are but-
Josh lets go of me. "Come inside," I say. He nods his head and walks inside. We go to the living room and sit down on the couch. Neither of us knows what to say. I wonder what he's thinking about.
"So," I begin to say but then can't figure out what to say next.
"Yeah?"
"I don't know I just didn't want to sit in silence," I laugh. He laughs too.
We've been friends for a while now, (Y/n). Just tell him already! No, I have to do something special, cool, and creative. But that's going to take too much time, why not just get it over with? Oh no, I haven't even thought of the fact that it could probably ruin our friendship forever. I'm a mess.
I looked over at Josh. He was staring at the ground but I could see that he had a very small smile on his face. "What are you smiling about?" I accidentally say out loud.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to go to this party tonight," he says. "Well, not really a party. Just a simple bonfire with friends."
"That sounds fun, I'll go," I smile.
"Great! I'll pick you up at 6:30."
