SCENE 6 -

Cut to a movie theater, where CHRIS and ERIKA are walking out after a movie.

CHRIS: Wow, great movie, huh?

ERIKA: I thought it was a great movie too.

CHRIS: Haha, yeah!

ERIKA: I had lots of fun.

CHRIS: Me too. Would you like to do it again sometime?

ERIKA: Sure, sounds like a good idea!

CHRIS: May I have your phone number then

ERIKA: Yes.

Cut to CHRIS in his kitchen eating a sandwich.

CHRIS: Wow, what a great night. I had so much fun watching a movie with Erika. I can finally put my feet up and relax.

CHRIS puts his feet up and relaxes, but he gets a phone call from KEVIN.

KEVIN: Hey where the hell are you, man?

CHRIS: What do you mean?

KEVIN: You were supposed to be here a half an hour ago!

CHRIS: Where?

KEVIN: Band practice, how could you forget?

CHRIS: Shoot! I'll be there as soon as I can.

SCENE 7 -

Cut to a garage, where there are some dudes on instruments.

KEVIN: What took you so long, man?

CHRIS: I was on a hot date with Erika.

KEVIN: The Erika?

CHRIS: Oh yeah. The Erika.

KEVIN: Well good for you man, gettin out there like that.

CHRIS: Yeah, yeah. Let's play. I'm really feeling the tunes tonight, man.

JEFF (lead singer): Alright, what are we playing?

CHRIS: Let's do (the song)

KEVIN: You sure? We haven't played that one in forever.

CHRIS: Let's do it.

JEFF: Sounds good to me. 1-2-3-4

(The band) starts playing (the song), goes through most of the song (it's a total banger don't even worry about it) until towards the end JEFF gets super into it and starts dancing harder and harder until he hits the robot. JEFF turns into a robot, and the music stops, but more music starts playing because a big fight scene is about to happen. The band scatters, leaving just the JEFF (Robot) and CHRIS. Some sick fight choreo goes down, until JEFF (Robot) jetpacks away like Iron Man. CHRIS is left lying on the floor, panting, after a very hard and intense battle with epic battle music. The scene fades to CHRIS and ERIKA who are walking and talking at the beach

SCENE 8 -

CHRIS: Thanks for coming out here today, I have something very important that I need to talk to you about.

ERIKA: What is it Chris? You can tell me anything.

CHRIS: Very good, I knew I could! You know how I'm the lead guitarist in (the band), right?

ERIKA: Of course, they are my favorite band.

CHRIS: And you remember that movie that we went to go see last night?

ERIKA: Yes, it was a very nice movie. I enjoyed it.

CHRIS: Me too, a very good movie. Well anyways, after that, I went to band practice.

ERIKA: That's great. I like your band and the music they make.

CHRIS: Thanks, Erika! But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about. You know that robot story that was on the news the other day?

ERIKA: I did not believe it. What a dumb story! Robots aren't real.

CHRIS: That's what I thought, too. But halfway through, our lead singer, Jeff, turned into a robot and started attacking.

ERIKA: What?

CHRIS: I don't know how, or why, it just happened. I thought the robot thing was just a story that some dude made up to sound cool and to get attention, but it was real. 100% real, I swear. And Erika?

ERIKA: Yeah?

CHRIS: I think we all might be in danger. If it's something that happens so randomly like that, who knows how often it can happen, and how many people could die.

ERIKA: Chris, you know I love your stories, but you're taking this one a little bit too far.

CHRIS: This isn't just a story! This is real!

ERIKA: I don't know, Chris, it seems a little far fetched.

CHRIS: I know it does but you gotta believe me. We gotta do something.

ERIKA: Chris, you're freaking me out.

CHRIS: I know babe. I don't wanna freak you out but I don't want you to get hurt.

ERIKA: Sorry I'm getting a phone call...hold on one second...

ERIKA is not actually getting a phone call.

ERIKA: mhm. Okay. alright. Cool. sounds good. Talk to you soon. [To CHRIS] I gotta go, I'll talk to you later.

CHRIS: Come on babe, I know I sound crazy right now but you gotta give me a chance. I know what I saw. I'm just trying to help.

ERIKA: I'm sorry Chris.

ERIKA gets outta here. She doesn't want anything to do with this crazy, crazy man. CHRIS is frustrated, kicks some sand, punches the air, then gets into his car. He starts blasting some of his band's songs, and drives home. Cut to his house, where he's in the kitchen, eating a sandwich. He turns on the news. It's a story about a guy getting robbed. Bummer. CHRIS turns off the news, sits on the couch, and takes a deep breath.

SCENE 9 -

CHRIS: Man. Things aren't going well. I'm very sad!

CHRIS'S phone starts ringing. It's KEVIN.

CHRIS [sad]: Hey, Kev.

KEVIN: Hey, Chris. Everything okay? You sound pretty down.

CHRIS: Is everything okay? Is everything okay?! I just had a talk with Erika. She didn't believe a word I said about the whole robot thing. I tried to explain it the best that I could, but she just wouldn't listen! I am so mad!!!

KEVIN: Calm down, Chris. It's gonna be fine.

CHRIS: I poured my heart out for this girl, and she just threw me away like I was nothing.

KEVIN: Didn't you just meet her the other day?

CHRIS: Shut-just sh-shut-shut up man, just shut it, Kev. Shut up. Do you even know what I'm going here Kev? Huh, Kev? God. Really, Kev? Jeez. You saw that robot right? Do you know how dangerous this really is, Kev? We don't know what causes it, how it works, how dangerous they get, I mean come on Kev, this could be so much worse than we're imagining. Next thing you know they could be rampaging through the street, blasting through the neighborhood. Don't you get it, Kev? Everyone you know and love could be gone by the morning. And when I was trying to tell someone I love about it and they treat it like a joke, where does that put me? I'm just the crazy guy that everyone's laughing about until tragedy strikes like a some thunder you know.

KEVIN: Well damn, Chris. I don't know what to say

CHRIS: Of course you don't, just shut up Kev.

CHRIS hangs up the phone, throws his phone across the room.

CHRIS: aargh! What a bummer.

CHRIS gets up, goes to the kitchen, and begins to make a sandwich. He takes out a knife and a plate, and it transitions to the next week.

SCENE 10 -

CHRIS is at the office where the IT company is, talking to his boss in the boss's office.

BOSSMAN: Thanks for coming in to talk to me, this is important. Take a seat.

CHRIS [visibly nervous]: Alright Mr. Bossman, lay it on me.

BOSSMAN: So I wanted to talk to you about your numbers. It looks here on this graph [he has a graph] that you've been declining over the past couple days. What's gotten into you, Chris? You were the best IT guy this company has ever seen.

CHRIS: To be quite frank with you, Mr. Bossman, I had my heart broken by a girl I loved.

BOSSMAN: Oh yeah? Who was it.

CHRIS: Well... her name was Erika.

BOSSMAN: Erika?! As in your client from last week?

CHRIS: Well, yeah. But-

BOSSMAN: Chris, how many times do we have to remind you about our #1 corporate policy?

CHRIS: I know, I know

Camera pans up to a huge poster with the words "IT company's #1 policy: DO NOT DATE THE CLIENTS"

BOSSMAN: Do. Not. Date. THE CLIENTS!!!

CHRIS: I'm sorry, Mr. Bossman, it won't happen ag-

BOSSMAN: Chris, I want you to know something. I make a lot of money. A whole bunch. Wanna know how much money I make?

CHRIS: Not really-

BOSSMAN: Eighty. One. THOUSAND. Dollars a year. Wanna know how I got here? I climbed. Wanna know how I climbed so fast? I didn't get romanticallically involved with my clients. You know Chris, I used to be just like you. I was naive, star-struck, I always wanted the next best thing. You give me a phone? Well now I want 2. See how it works? Simple. You give a rat some bread he's gonna want more bread. In this case bread is money, and I wanted more money. I want it. The money. When I was young like you, I tried dating one of my clients. Wanna know what happened after that? She came into this here office to talk to me. I talked with her for twenty minutes. Twenty. Twenty minutes of company time wasted. I broke up with her on the spot. And now look at me. Richest guy you know. I didn't get here by wasting my time with a girl and a band. Now, Chris, I'm afraid I'm going to have to dock your pay for this month. We can;t be losing company time like this, and I know the path you're heading down. I'm letting you off the hook for this one, just know that you're on thin, thin ice. Next time something like this happens, we're gonna have to let you go.

CHRIS: I know, Mr. Bossman, I'm sorry. It won't happen again.

BOSSMAN: Well I would hope not. Now go fix some computers.

CHRIS: Sounds like a plan Mr. Bossman.

CHRIS sits at his desk. He looks bummed out, man. He pulls out his wallet, and looks at a picture of ERIKA. CHRIS starts to cry.

CHRIS: Boo hoo! Waaaaaa!!!

COWORKER 1: Everything alright, Chris?

CHRIS: Yeah. I'm fine.
