We all are living in a dream,
where nothing's what it seems,
and everything's a mess
and all those sorrows I have seen,
they lead me to believe,
that's everything's a mess.
I wanna dream...

Merida sang, as she listened to the fountain in the center of the garden. She almost laughed at her stupidity as she danced alone in the center of the maze, the song playing changed.

No one knows where the ladder goes
You're gonna lose what you love the most
You're not alone in anything
You're not unique in dying
I feel a strange every now and then
Fall asleep reading science fiction
I wanna fly in your silver ship, but
My momma hang and my sister, sit
It's on now, the days are long now
The ups and the sun down
In the twisting morn'
If I gotta go first
I'll do it on my terms
I'm tired of traitors
Always changing sides
They were friends of mine.

Merida sang along, as tears began to slowly spill. "Why not me.." She trailed off. Eventually, she had to sit down, from the amount of tears. As the song ended, she was brawling.

"Hey, you okay?" Cath asked, sitting down beside her.

"I'm tired of saying 'I'm fine,' so no." Merida whispered.

"You know, she cheated. You know that, right?" Cath asked her.

"Yeah."

"You wanna be left alone?" Cath asked, rubbing her shoulder.

"Yes."

"Also, you want me to go beat her butt up, or will a simple bird do?" Cath asked.

"Hmm... Both, please." Merida simply replied, wiping the tears away.

Cath nodded, and left her to mourn the sinking ship.

"Lovely job tonight, Layla." A mature voice complimented.

"Thanks?" Layla replied, shuddering from the cold December wind.

"I agree, but did you have to tell Harvey that?" A rather malevolent voice asked.

Layla thought for a moment, a nasty smirk creeping up her face, thinking of a rather unkind comeback. " Well I could always tell your secret about your romance with Merida."

Mal rolled his eyes, but upon realizing that he was in the dark, replied, "Yeah, your point?"

"And you do realize that Merida still hates you unless you think of a better way to get Harvey to stop liking her." Layla snarled back at him with her famous glare on her face. Quickly losing her patience.

The anonymous two stayed quiet before one replied, "Yeah. right. Why the hell would I like Merida if I've already got my eyes set on you?"

Layla rolled her eyes. "Shut up, perv. I told you, I'm off limits." She fired back.

The other voice interrupted their argument. "Oi, you two can go make out somewhere else. For now, you need to get your butt back in the garden. Go cause drama." He commanded.

Layla rolled her eyes, smirking viciously as she left. As she neared the gate, she stopped as she heard somebody breathe. She internally laughed, and jumped before opening the gate that leaded to the party. She smirked as she heard the fellow racer curse, and shut the gate behind her.

"I seriously dislike Layla." Merida heard a familiar voice murmur, as she finally ceased her crying.

"The feeling's mutual..." Merida murmured, sighing.

"You know, I would've expected Cath to rig the votes or something..." He trailed off, sitting down beside her.

"She did."

"Wha... Then how did Layla somehow out-rig her?" he asked, confused.

"That's a good question..." Merida sighed.

The two sat in silence. Harvey asked after a moment, "How did Cath rig the votes? Was it for her and Andre, or-"

"It was for us."

Harvey's eyes widened, as he gasped. "Oh.." He trailed off. After a moment, he smiled. "Well then, I suppose we should've been the ones dancing, shouldn't we've?" He asked, putting a comforting hand on her arm.

"Yeah, I suppose so..." Merida mumbled, finally pulling her head up. Harvey gasped at her face. She was blushing, but not enough to cover the dried tears.

"Oh God, she really broke you, didn't she?" Harvey asked, wiping the tears away.

"No." Merida quickly replied, her face void of emotion. "She hasn't broken me, and she never will."

Baby let's go out with a bang.
We could be the last love song, ever sang.
Harvey took Merida's hand, and pulled her up, smiling. Merida smiled weakly, and stood, putting a hand on his shoulder. The two danced, as if they were the last love story.

"Finally.." She counted on her fingers. "18 years of waiting. It was so worth it, you know?"

"18 years?" Harvey asked, an eyebrow raised.

"Take or add some." Merida replied.

I'm gonna love you,
like it's the end of the world.
I'm gonna hold you,
As long as I can in this world...
Merida laughed joyfully as he spun her around, pulling her into a hug. He eventually put her down, their eyes locking, both filled with years worth of lust. "You know why I broke up with Brook, and eventually Layla, so many years ago?" He asked her huskily, creasing her cheek.

"Dunno, to eventually find the one?" Merida replied, with a shrug.

He suddenly pressed his hand behind her neck, pulling her close to his face. His lips pressed onto hers, building up stone. Everything stopped, and all she could do is smile in her mind. She accepted the kiss while closing her eyes. 'So. Frickin. Worth. It.'

So let's go out, with a bang.
