Yu An saw Mi Que standing by the pond so she decided to join her.

❝How are you feeling? ❞Yu An asked, placing a hand on the other woman's shoulder.

Mi Que turned her head to look at Yu An, her eyes holding tears back.

❝Angry. ❞ Mi Que replied.

❝It isn't only because Mo Feng is missing, am I right? ❞Yu An asked.

Mi Que looked at the pond falling silent for a few minutes.

The man stopped in his track and looked at the woman a few meters away from him. Both were shocked by the others presence.

❝Sister? ❞Hua Mian asked looking at the troubled concubine.

Guiyang quickly calmed herself down, took a deep breath and smiled.

❝I don't know what you're talking about. Who you may be? ❞ she asked, keeping a polite smile.

Hua Mian walked closer to examine her.

Hua Mian looked at her back, saddens overcoming him. He couldn't understand why his sister left their tribe and why she pretends not to know him.

In a nearby tree, a eavesdropping man smirked upon hearing the interaction between the siblings.

❝So that's how it is. ❞Wei Zhan whispered to himself.

The concubine collapsed to her knees as soon as she reached her room.

❝Why is he here? Why, why, why?! ❞ she asked trying to calm down.

Seeing her older brother after so long, a turmoil of emotions ran through her.

Mo Feng, who was kept hidden in a dark room, woken up after the drug washed off.

❝My head... ❞ he groaned and moved his body, only to discover he was tied with chains to a bed. ❝What? ❞ he asked confused.

❝You've been kidnapped, dumbass. ❞ the fire spirit said, irritated.

❝Kidnapped?! ❞ Mo Feng exclaimed. He began to struggle, but the chains won't budge.

❝The servant you wanted to help drugged you. ❞the fire spirit added, disappointed that his master is an idiot.

Mo Feng recalled the servant girl that asked for his help with moving some heavy chests. Not thinking she is a danger, Mo Feng left his guard down and happily accepted to help the servant.

❝Where are we?❞ Mo Feng asked.

❝I'm not sure. Unlike you, I can't see unless I'm freed from you sword. But from what I know, we haven't left the Palace. You were dragged pretty quick in this place. ❞ the spirit explained.

Mo Feng tried to melt the chains with his fire powers, but to his disappointment it didn't work.

❝While you were sleeping the servant girl forced something down your throat. I assume it blocks your power. ❞the spirit explained.

Mo Feng cursed under his breath. He stopped when he could hear light footsteps coming his way.

The door opened and revealed a woman.

❝What do you want? ❞Mo Feng asked looking at the approaching figure.

The concubine laughed. Her hand touched Mo Feng's face.

❝I want to use you.Break you and make you my puppet. This way you can kill that annoying woman for me. I wonder how her face will look when one of her subordinates will stab her in the back. ❞ Guiyang explained grinning sadistic.

Mo Feng was confused.

❝Who are you? ❞ he asked.

Guiyang returned with her hands full as she giggled in a creepy way.

Mo Feng tried to break the chains again.

❝Stop struggling. It's useless. ❞ the concubine said.

Guiyang opened Mo Feng's robe and made a cut on his chest, then rubbed a powder on the wound.

Mo Feng felt like his body was stabbed by a bunch of knives so he screamed.

❝Luckily this room is protected by a sound proof barrier. ❞ the concubine laughed and watched as the poison spread through his body, fast.

Mo Feng struggled as the pain was more and more unbearable.

❝Once this reaches your brain... you'll be nothing more than a brainless puppet. ❞Guiyang said smiling.

She couldn't wait to see Yu An's face when Mo Feng will betray her.

❝Huh? ❞ the concubine asked puzzled.

Guiyang used her clans technique and got her hand through Mo Feng's head like Hua Mian did with Yu An to get the parasite out.

Before she could finish her sentence a strong power threw her in the air, exploding the whole room.

The explosion didn't went unnoticed by the others and soon everyone rushed to see what's going on.

Yu An was there as well.

❝Oh? Seems like the pill did its job. ❞ she said smiling.

Guiyang who got hit by the blow was bleeding on the ground.

❝Mo Feng! ❞Mi Que called running to Mo Feng.

The confused man looked at Mi Que who jumped in his arms.

❝I'm glad you're not hurt. ❞ the woman said relieved.

Mo Feng looked at her.

❝I'm sorry for worrying you. ❞ Mo Feng said smiling.

❝What was that? ❞Wang Shu asked.

❝The pill I gave each member of LOH. It protected Mo Feng, seems like this dear concubines attempted to hurt his brain. ❞Yu An explained looking down at the hurt woman.

Guiyang raised her eyes and saw the mocking glare Yu An gave her and it filled her with anger.

❝You! It's your fault! Everything it's your fault! ❞ Guiyang shouted and managed to stand up giving Yu An death glares. ❝You should just die! You don't deserve to be Empress! You don't deserve the Emperor! ❞ the concubine shouted mad.

Yu An looked at her with no expression on her face. Wang Shu looked at the concubine with disgust all over his face.

Guiyang saw his face and began to cry hysterically and point her finger at him.

❝Your highness! Why? Why did you choose someone like her?! How is such a wild woman fit to be Empress?! I've loved you... and you chose her?! I'm much better and I truly love you! ❞Guiyang shouted, full breaking down emotionally.

In a way Yu An felt bad for her, she could understand her feelings and the reason she is like this. She's seen a lot of harem type of fiction and always felt bad for the women who loved a man that had many women daily.

Yu An sighed and for the first time she decided to show mercy.

❝I'll let you alive if you swear to never step foot into this Empire. ❞ Yu An said, shocking everyone.

Guiyang fell silent and looked at Yu An.

❝Why? Do you plan to kill me outside this Empire? ❞ the concubine asked.

The concubine looked at Yu An and nodded her head. Then she turned around and returned to pack her stuff.

❝Are you sure? ❞Wang Shu asked.

Yu An looked at him and sighed.

❝Yes. ❞ she said.

Wang Shu looked at her silent, he felt like part of this is his fault.

❝How is Mo Feng? ❞Yu An asked.

❝I'm good, thank you for saving me. ❞ Mo Feng bowed his head.

Yu An looked at Mi Que who stood next to Mo Feng and winked at her. Mi Que blushed and avoided Yu An's gaze.

❝Alright, everyone, return to your bussines. ❞Yu An said as she turned around and left.
