You get up and go to your small dingy bathroom running cold water and putting your hand under it. You wince. Sure you've had burns before but this ones bad. You soak your hand before crawling into bed and going back on your phone.

You end up googling the answers for the homework and finishing it before the morning. At around 5am you hear your Dad unlocking the door to my room. You sigh getting up and putting on a new baggy hoodie and grabbing my school bag. You do all my chores cleaning the kitchen and all that fun stuff before getting out of my house as quickly as possible.

Your burns look slightly better today... really gotta learn how to control fire resistance better...

You get to school at around 6:30am so incredibly early. You settle on a bench and swear you only just blink before you feel something ice cold being dumped on you.

You jolt awake feeling your body's temperature increase for a split second.

"Wake up loser!" Flash.

You wipe the slushie off you flicking it on the floor.

"What's the matter are you cold?" Flash taunts.

"Go away Flash." You get up putting your bag on your shoulder.

"Where's the fun in that?" He shoves you to the floor. Of course you could fight back but you don't want to risk getting worked up and revealing your powers.

You get up. "Fuck off Flash."

Flash laughs darkly but is interrupted by a familiar Brunette girl stepping in between you both.

"Back off." MJ glares at Flash who quickly goes away.

"I had it handled." You say shivering as you get off the floor.

"Clearly." MJ pulls you off the floor.

You check the time...8:20 ten minutes until school starts.

"Come on" MJ leads you into the school and i to a bathroom. "You're freezing take off your hoodie."

You shake your head. "I-I'm fine MJ."

MJ gives you a look. She pulls out a spare hoodie chucking it at you.

"Thanks..." You say quietly. You go into a cubicle changing your hoodie not wanting MJ to see your cuts and bruises. You come out fixing your hair. "Hey MJ?"

"Yeah?"

"Did Pete give you his new number?" You ask.

"Yeah we called last night why?" MJ asks. You debate whether to tell MJ about the unknown number but eventually settle against it... It's not something she needs to know about.

"Pete forgot to give it to me. Spent the whole night texting his old number asking for physics answers." You lie.

"Doesn't suprise me. Come on we don't want to be late" MJ gestures for you to go to form with her.

"Yeah..." You follow her and go to your form room just as the bell rings taking your seats by Ned and Peter.

"I swear to god Peter I could kill you." You mumble to him as your English teacher begins to ramble on about Macbeth or whatever... don't really care.

"What why?" Peter answers.

"You gave me the wrong number." You state.

"Oops."

"Yeah oops."

"Parker. Smith. Pay attention." The teacher snaps.

"Sorry sir" You both mumble.

You pull out your phone sneaking on it and texting.
