====================================

"Tell me, Pharaoh, what do you think is the worst way to die?" Bakura asked, relaxed against the chair as the huge hourglass ticked above him. The man across the table growled at him,

"Why do you ask?"

"There are many ways to die, Pharaoh.." Bakura hummed as he pinched small sand from the board, "...death is so easy to achieve cause humans are so easily manipulated and gullible. The whole world can kill them without them even realizing it, and sometimes, they forget they may be the cause alone. But tell me, Pharaoh, what is the worst way to die? Would you like me to list the options?"

"What does this have to do with our battle, Bakura?" He sneered,

"Oh, just an icebreaker question before our RPG game begins~." Bakura cooed, "If you honestly ask me, I think it's drowning."

"Drowning?" The Pharaoh's eyebrows furrowed,

"Yes," Bakura hums as he takes more sand from the gameboard, "Think about it, Pharaoh. You're alive, but no one can hear you. You're alive, but no one can see you. You struggle to breathe, but your nose and mouth are full of water...or even sand." Bakura teased as he dropped the sand back onto the game board. "Oho, sand is the worst, because unlike water you're stuck in the same place, choking completely underground. No one can see you, no one can even hear your throat clench and cut off oxygen for your lungs. Hell, people would blindly walk ontop of your suffering, completely unaware they're walking over a future corpse. You're lucky if you're drowning in water, because people would be able to see your struggles with the air bubbles."

Uncomfortable, the Pharaoh narrows his eyes at Bakura's detailed perception, "...what does that have to do with my memory, Bakura?"

Bakura's smirk soon faded to a closed-eye smile as he shrugged at the Pharaoh's question, "Just reminiscing, that's all. Just there's so much sand I couldn't help but ponder, who knows how many corpses could be buried under. Maybe they're important..." He hummed before shaking his head, "...anyway, let's begin with our final battle, shall we~?"

And so, the final battle began, and unbeknownst to the Pharaoh, there was more significance to Bakuras's sudden question than he realizes.

Meanwhile, down on the battlefield, things were going dangerously south. The first problem being that Bakura able to summon Zorc and merge with it in order to grow stronger. Following dangerously close, High Priests Shimon, Shada, and Karim had been killed by Bakura's hands. Not to mention this became a dangerous Shadow Game, and the Pharaoh was already on the brink of not only losing, but also with death creeping along the corner. This could very well kill him off a second time and grant Zorc access to finishing off what it started. Even if Yugi, Tea, Tristan, and Joey ran just in time to defend him, it wouldn't be long before they would also lose and fall under the hands of Zorc - just as it did towards the murdered High Priests. Not to mention the fact that the RPG game between Bakura and the Pharaoh, unfortunately, leaned more towards Bakura's victory than his worthy opponent. It practically seemed like all was lost.

"That's right, you understand now, don't you Pharaoh?!" Bakura, sneered with a grin, "I win-"

Bakura was interrupted by the clouds booming in rage with a sudden entrance of the Seal of Orichalcos being in the center of this sudden storm, right above the battle scene. Everyone immediately went silent and all attention shifted over to the Seal, watching the cryptic letters rapidly circulate and expand. Green lighting strikes emerged around the Seal and struck nearby with thunder booming over the land. The clouds heavily darkened the faster the Seal circulated and swirled right at the center as though a tornado was going to strike. Hyper winds clashed together and quickly blew over to the direction of the Seal, the sounds loudly echoed through all ears as a warning for the upcoming arrival. Not long after, three dragons arose from the grounds and lifted in the sky, each dragon in a position as though they were ready to escort the beast they swore to keep at bay.

Everyone watched in horror as right at the center of the Seal, dark clouds formed an eye that rapidly opened and blinked. Once the eye opened, a deep, dark growl emerged from the clouds, hidden amongst the dark thunder and howling winds. Even so, the growl was still heard among all citizens and everyone on the battlefield.

"....fuck..." Bakura muttered, nervously chuckling at the scene above him.

"Wait a..." Joey turned pale, "Don' tell me....that's the Great Leviathan-"

"It is." Yugi's eyes narrowed and watched the Seal further expand to allow the eye to move. Dark clouds moved with the eye as though it was apart of its body as the eye swooped down and remained locked with Bakura. The slit briefly widened, then went thin when its vision was clear. The dark clouds surrounding the eye began to mutate and began to quickly develop more of its form. It wasn't long before the other eye was made, and the familiar fins....along with the sharp teeth that was visible with its long, large mouth. Its long body slithered down and its head tilted diagonally so the fully body is dispersed from the Seal. The more it revealed itself, the louder the thunder boomed with the lightning rapidly increasing. The Seal finally stopped moving once the tail flicked away from above the sky, as it was finally present in the battlefield, ready for action.

Anyone who previously thought the Egyptian Gods were huge, they were strongly greeted with a serpent that was five times bigger.

"HOLY SHIT!" Joey shrieked and stumbled back a few steps, "THAT THING IS HUGE!"

The Great Leviathan rose its head and cracked open its mouth, letting out a hiss that sent ears to loudly ring. The tail whipped to a certain destroyed house not far from where Bakura was, an immense amount of sand dispersed in the air and lay harshly on the floor. Steam dispersed from the Leviathan's mouth with hunger seeping from its mouth as its eyes intensely locked with Bakura. Right as the immense amount of sand was flung in the air, Timaeus swooped down in that area as though it was collecting something.

"I...Ima be honest.." Tristan gulped, "If...If I was a duelist and I saw that...I'd retire."

"so that's what (y/n) has to endure..." Tea gasped, trembling in the spot upon the reality of your life.

For the first time in this duel, the moment Tea spoke of your name, the Pharaoh's eyes finally widened with life starting to return. It was as though he had just realized the situation, and finally looked up with his vision blurry at the serpent that slithered down towards Zorc with a growl.

"Sh...She summoned it..." He muttered weakly as the serpent immediately took action and slithered around the Dark God. Tightening its grip on the God, steam escaped the Leviathan's lips with its prickly dark purple tongue licking its sharp, eager fangs. The slits expanded with eagerness as the mouth opened wide, wide enough for possibly two of the Egyptian Gods to perfectly fit under, and sunk its sharp fangs into the Dark God's skin effortlessly. A huge chunk of Zorc's arm was sharply and slowly ripped out of its body for the Leviathan to swallow within one gulp, with the body further tightening its grip.

"I...It's....eating Zorc?!" Joey covered his mouth in both shock and to try to hide his nausea. It was such a shock, that literally everyone was paralyzed with fear.

All except the Pharaoh, who tried his best to keep his vision in tact to find the Vessel who was bound to protect it.

'Wh....Where is she...' He pondered, as his motivation to find you became the sole reason why he's still conscious. He tried his best to get up, but he would find himself falling back on the floor or he would find himself unable to move due to the lack of strength he had left.

"P-Pharaoh!" Yugi was the only person who snapped out of his paralysis and went straight to his other self to help him.

"Yugi..wh...where is she?" He asked, panicked that he isn't seeing you, "Wh....where is (y/n)..."

"I don't know.." Yugi shook his head and also took a look around in hopes to find you. Instead, he and the Pharaoh could only find the Leviathan chewing out Zorc and the two dragons hovering over the house the Leviathan knocked down earlier. Yet, it wasn't long before Timaeus soon joined Critias and Hermos, as the three dragons finally took action and slithered over towards where Yugi and everyone else was.

He froze in place, his eyes desperately hoping to find you sitting on at least one of the dragons. And relief surged his body once he saw you hopping off of Timaeus.

He has yet to realize why you went this far, and why you looked at him with a look he's never seen in your eyes before as far as he remembers. He tried to run to you, but lost strength and fell on his knees once more; feeling his life force still short from the duel he had with Zorc. You walked over to him and locked hands with him as he stared at you with wide eyes. His hands immediately tied with yours as you knelt down,

"You know, I never once told you it first." You smiled at him. His eyes narrowed briefly,

"...what?"

"Deep down, I've always wanted to, but I never did. It was always you who said it first. Then I realized something...I never said it up until now because whenever I said it, I'd say it with your name."

You felt his hands tense up as they locked with yours, his breath was silent as you gently caressed his trembling fingers. You took a deep breath, as your hearing cut short to only focus on the man infront of you - as he did as well, as his ears only listened to your voice.

"....Maybe it was something inside me, holding me back to say it because up until now I only knew you as Yami..." You felt yourself choke up, your heart skipped slightly on recalling all the memories you've lost with this man. He silently stared at you, listening to each and every single word with his body trembling. You took a shaky breath to calm yourself down, and just before the eclipse arose, your eyes locked with his and you smiled at him,

"...I love you, Atem."

His breath cut short and his grip on you tightened with eyes wide. Chills were sent down his spine and his heart skipped unimaginable beats. His whole body shook under your words and tears brimmed his crimson eyes. It was as though it was something he had long waited for, as eagerness, relief, and joy surged his veins.

For a brief moment, and very brief, he forgot about everything around him. He could only stare in astonishment at his wife sitting before him....no....the little girl he forced to play Senet with.

He stared at you, the only one that he demanded to call him by his name and nothing more.

And words could not be used for him to describe how beautiful you looked when you said his name.

Slowly connecting back to reality, he found strength return, and he slowly rose to his feet and stared up at the monstrous beast that loomed over everyone. Zorc's final blow seemed to be almost ready for blasting, it was rather eager despite the Leviathan's brutal attack that still kept going; the tail still tightly squeezed the demon with it fangs waiting for another opportunity to strike. It was almost like Zorc tried forgetting the fact an ancient serpent is actively eating it alive. Yet, despite the grotesque scene before him, his hands remained locked with you as he finally opened his mouth,

"I call the Egyptian Gods and seal your fate, for my name is Atem."

The Leviathan let go of the Dark God and slithered away right as a bright glow struck Zorc from Atem's words. From Yugi's deck, the three Egyptian Gods flew out and sprung into view (although looking like dwarfs in comparison to the Leviathan),

"Now Zorc! This is the power of unity! With the ones dearest to me, I can call forth the Gods! GAZE UPON THE THREE GODS!" Strength finally returned to his voice as he called forth these three Gods, and once they showed up, he clenched his fists and glared upon the Dark God,

"AND IN THE NAME OF THE KING, I UNITE THE GODS INTO THE CREATOR GOD OF LIGHT, HORAKHTY!" Atem's words sent the three Egyptian Gods to merge into one sole being that you've never seen in your entire life. It was as though this whole nostalgic feeling you've had soon vanished the moment you said his name.

This being took the shape of a human, as on her head lay Ra's armored head that was accompanied by Ra's wings. The armor went down to her chest with a long white silk covering her bottom half; right at the center of her chest was a blue orb, which was also displayed on each of its shoulders. Right by her pure white arms lay silk that gently hung behind the arms, and with a closer look on her armor, the Millennium Key could be seen. Comparing sizes, she looked to be half of the size of the Leviathan, who silently loomed over with steam still escaping its lips.

This being made the remaining Zorc tremble, now completely paralyzed due to the lack of organs and fear mixed together. "H....Horakhty..." It muttered its last words,

"ZORC, LORD OF SHADOW! I BANISH YOU FROM THIS WORLD!" Atem hissed as the giant God purged Zorc with nothing but light.

This whole scene was displayed infront of him, but he didn't even need to watch the fate of Zorc. He already knew what was going to happen. Instead, he turned his head at you and gave your hand a tight squeeze for attention. Slightly taken aback, your attention shifted to him to lock eyes with a gentle smile on his face,

"....I love you, (y/n)." His eyes softened as he spoke with such kindness and love, you could not hold back the tears that brimmed your eyes. His hand pulled you closer to him as with his free hand, he cupped your cheek as he pressed his lips against yours right as Zorc was annihilated from the light and dissipated to nothing but dust.

Atem pulled away from the kiss and stared at you for a bit, before his eyes narrowed,

"...There is still something I have to do." He mumbled,

"What's left? You snapped Zorc to dust, isn't that the whole point?" You asked with an eyebrow raised,

"No...there's still more. I can feel it." He soon looked at Yugi, Tristan, and Tea, who all looked eager and relieved at the same time, "...Guy-"

"WE FINALLY FOUND YOUR NAME! ABOUT DAMN TIME!" Joey cheered, "AND THAT BIG GOD IS GONE CAUSE OF THE LEVIATHAN CHEWIN' HIM UP LIKE A PACK OF RIBS! AHAAA SUCKS TO SUCK ZORC!"

You looked up at the Leviathan as everyone briefly cheered, and watched its slit narrow,

"Time to leave. You're finished in this world."

You stiffened in place and stared at the Leviathan with wide eyes, what does it mean you can't stay here anymore?

"You did what you were supposed to do. Don't meddle in further. Worry not for your daughter, for I will fetch her before I take you out."

"....Atem." You narrowed your eyes and locked eyes with him. He immediately turned to look at you with his eyes drifting to the Leviathan who glared at him.

"..What does it want?" Atem asked,

"The Leviathan is getting me out of here." You informed, "...I trust you know what you're doing?"

"Wait what?" Joey quickly averted to you, "What da ya mean?"

His eyes widened at this, and for a brief second, you detected in his eyes he longed for you to stay. This look soon faded, and determination flashed in his eyes once more, "....I will see you soon, my love."

"I better see you or I'm slapping Yugi as a substitute." You sneered,

"What?! Why me?!" Yugi gasped and covered his cheeks,

"You're the only substitute." You winked in reply as the Seal of Orichalcos appeared behind the Leviathan almost instantly,

"It's time." Its tail slithered over in your direction and slowly wrapped itself around you.

'Damn, can't even spend another second?'

"You've had plenty time. No time to waste. Let him figure it all out on his own."

And just like that, you felt your consciousness fade to black.

You awoke to find yourself in a different room, it was rather empty for the most part except the fact right in the middle of this room was a giant table. Upon closer inspection, you found this table to appear like some form of game, the fields being literally Ancient Egypt. However, that wasn't really the main thing that caught your interest. It was the fact the Millennium Puzzle was buried in the sand, as though someone took it and plopped it in the game.

"Oooo, mommy what is this game?" You heard Nymphi ask. Startled, you looked down to find Nymphi peeking over at the game board with curiosity,

"...no clue.." You muttered as you took the Puzzle from the sand.

"And why is Bakura sleeping over there?" Nymphi asked and pointed at a certain direction,

"....what." Taken aback by Nymphi's question, you quickly looked at where she pointed at to find Bakura unconscious on the board game. You stared at him, cautiously walking over to where he lay and poked his back to see if he would wake up. He didn't.....which made you decide whether you should be concerned or relieved.

'...It technically wasn't Bakura who did all this, it was the Spirit of the Millennium Ring...' You took notice of the Millennium Ring also buried in the sand, '....who was technically Bakura....who looks exactly like the Bakura I'm seeing now.....who I have a feeling is a reincarnation of the Bakura who almost killed me.....' Your train of thought was interrupted when you heard grunts. Startled, you turned to find four coffins laying before you, with Yugi, Tristan, Tea, and Joey rising from the coffins as though they had just woken up.

"...Seriously how did I not notice all this?" You mumbled to yourself as you locked eyes with Yugi, who looked relieved to see you,

"(Y/n)!" Yugi's eyes lit up when he saw you and Nymphi, "Nymphi! You guys are alright!"

"Uncle Yugi! Bakura's sleeping!" Nymphi snitched,

"Bakura-" Yugi halted in his tracks, "....evil Bakura or good Bakura?"

"Looks to be good," You hoised the rope that held the Ring to display it to Yugi, "I sense no malice inside it."

"Oh thank goodness..." Yugi sighed of relief and Joey put his hands on his hips,

"So...when were ya gonna tell me the Great Leviathan was so huge?" Joey asked,

"Well...I mean..." You raised an eyebrow, "...the name does say Great Leviathan...soo.."

"And the fact it was able to eat up a literal God?" Joey added,

"To be fair..." You nervously shrugged, "....it didn't entirely eat up Zorc."

"But enough for that thing to look like Thanksgiving leftovers!" Joey exclaimed, "The Great Leviathan was brutal!"

"....if it can bite Zorc...what is it doing with Dartz?" Tristan asked,

You narrowed your eyes at Tristan, "....sometimes questions are best left
