Lachlan's P.O.V.

I didn't remember anything. Time passed but I didn't know how much or how fast. I was completely numb.

Sometimes I got flashes of light or snippets of voices but nothing really came back to me, I didn't know who was speaking to me or even what they were saying really, I never caught the words. I had flashbacks and weird dreams, nothing ever making sense.

And then everything changed.

I blinked open my eyes and finally saw the world for the first time since the crash, but I didn't know where I was, I didn't know what was going on. I was panicked, I was scared and without knowing what I was doing I started to fight, I started to kick, I started to panic.

"Lachlan!" Someone cried and I felt hands on me, pinning my arms down, but that only made me panic more and I cried out, both in fear and in pain as I felt something being ripped from my arm. I swung my arm out blindly, connecting with something.

"Someone hold him down!" Someone screamed and I cried out as more people tried to pin me down and somehow, even though I was outnumbered probably 5 to 1, I was probably pumped full of adrenaline and so scared that I managed to fight them off, pushing everyone off me. In the process I tipped myself off the bed and tumbled to the floor.

I let out a few hacking coughs, I was terrified and breathing heavily and I scrambled away from the people that were grabbing at me, backing myself into the corner. Nothing was making sense, my vision was blurry and I clamped my hands over my ears, curling up tightly.

I yelped and flinched as a gentle hand was placed on my arm but once I realised that nothing was happening, the hand was comforting, I looked up to see who it was. Blinking slowly I calmed down, I knew who it was, I recognised those eyes, it was okay. Josh stared right back at me, worried but comforting.

"Hey Lachlan, it's okay mate, you're okay." He said, crouching down a little more so he looking me in the eyes. I blinked again but I let him sneak his arms around my waist, pulling me close until I was completely leaning against him and was relaxed.

I tried to think, what had happened? What had occurred for me to end up in hospital? Vikk! I thought, jolting upright and turning my head, finally focusing on the others in the room. I could see a couple of nurses and a doctor, Josh and some of the other Sidemen members, Josh, Simon, Tobi and JJ.

But no Vikk.

I coughed and choked when I first opened my mouth and tried to speak and Josh gently patted my back, reaching up to grab something which turned out to be a cup of water. I finally was able to soothe my parched throat and I then tried to speak again, forcing some broken words from my mouth.

"Vi-ikk?" I stuttered. "Is h-he ok-okay?" I saw the looks between the boys and for a second my heart raced but I saw their little, although strained, smiles and knew that he was okay.

"He's still in the hospital, he's another room actually just across the hall and... well he hasn't been in a coma, I can say that." The look on Simon's face was terrifying, he was relived and happy but so scared and so hurt at the same time that it made my head spin.

Josh saw my expression and squeezed my hand reassuringly.

"You've been in a coma for 2 weeks Lachlan, a lot of your minor injuries have healed, that's why you're not in much pain. Broken legs and ribs but those are the only injuries expect the nasty knock to the head you took. That's why you were out for so long." I nodded slowly, realization flooding through me.

"If- if mine wer-" I cut myself off with a hoarse cough. "Were head wounds... how's V-Vikk then?"

"He's in an almost full body cast Lachlan, he got more of the impact but less head injuries, he's awake and talking but... physically unable to move." Josh gently squeezed me and finally I looked down at myself, looking at my body to see my injuries.

Even in my fight and my fall from the bed I didn't notice that both of my legs were encased in plaster and there was a thick bandage around my stomach, probably meant to help my broken ribs. Everything aching and I finally realised it, wincing in pain.

"Alright, back to bed with you." One of the nurses said and now that my adrenaline was gone I found I could hardly move. Josh and the nurses helped me, tucking me back into bed and ignoring my protests until I was firmly back in bed.

"Vikk?" I asked again, this time wanting to see him. I was cold and scared and I wanted to see my boyfriend. Simon placed his hand on my arm.

"Soon Lachlan, you've just woken up. Neither of you are really in a position to be moved right now." But still I insisted that I had to see him, I wanted to see him now and nothing was going to stop me, in fact I kept bugging the boys and the nurses, saying that I wasn't going to sleep and wasn't going to stop moving around until I saw him.

One of the nurses eventually gave in, especially when I tried to started looking around for something to stand up on, even with two broken legs. She let out a groan but finally turned to the Sidemen and said;

"We're going to have to let him see his friend, I'd rather he not try and get out of bed."

I got my way, finally I was going to see Vikk. The nurse made sure I was strapped onto the bed and not going to get up before getting the help of the boys to push the bed down the hall and into the other room. I was nervous for some reason, I wanted to see him but at the same time I wasn't sure. Was he hurt? Did he know that I was awake?

Josh saw the look on my face and squeezed my hand, giving me a reassuring smile.

"It'll be alright Lachlan. He still remembers everything and he's just in a cast, nothing more, I promise." I nodded slowly, before finally turning to the room that the nurse was pushing my bed into.

And there was Vikk, just as the others had described him, lying on the bed in an almost full body cast, both arms and both legs were broken and there was also a lot of bandages around his chest that made it look like a cast. He was completely bed-bound and half asleep, but he gasped and lit up when he saw me.

"Lachlan!" He cried, struggling to sit up because of his casts. The nurse rushed to his side and pushed him back down, instead moving the head of the bed so he could sit up and see me. "You're awake!"

I nodded and as our beds were pushed together I reached out and took his hand, squeezing it gently. It was the first time we had touched since the car crash and I completely relaxed into the bed, staring at each other with stupid and happy smiles on our faces.

We were back together, finally.

Finally.
