after mami and i walked out i started to make dinner, mami and the family started to talk about how mami couldn't quit her dreams on being a PA, i joined in protesting but we all decided to hassle her later.

it was now night, abuelita and i are standing next to her bed.

"lupita" Abuelita said in a sweet sing-song tone, only for mami to moan in her sleep "carlos it undoes in then front" i had to hold my breath so i didn't cackle. "get up!" my grandmother yells startling both me and mami.

"what the- mami!" my shit scared mother said shooting up from her comfortable bed. "its 4:30 in the morning" she pants, abuelita cooes "i know sweetheart..." mami turns over and tries to go back to sleep "dale" i yell waking her back up, we guide her out of bed and into the living room.

she was asking questions "whats happening" i just giggled and said "you'll see now just walk" i push her toward the living room table, where elena was waiting there for her with a coffee and papito was just lounging on the couch.

"oh this is nice but what is it" mami asks sipping from the coffee.

"we decided you're staying in school" alex said, mami placed the cup on the table and said "no, no." when she tried to leave elena grabbed her "no. remember, i failed, I'm a quitter, its fine" she still resisted.

"lupita, after you went to bed last night, none of us could sleep" abuelita said before elena continued "we realized we were being selfish, you didn't fail, mom, you just can't do it alone." i was about to say something but i was beat to it by my grandmother "that's right! you know you don't have to be a super woman, there can only be one sich woman in the family and thats-" "me" i say with jazz hands making my abuela role her eyes and the rest of the family giggle at my antics.

"so were all going to pitch in nd help make your dream come true" elena says pulling out the chair so mami can sit, "ill take out the trash, pack my lunch" alex nods "and I'm going to skip the Queer women march against nukes to help you." elena then asks "whats our preferred study method" i giggle, little empollona. "coffee and tears" i smirk knowing that was because of growing up with hard asses like Abuelito and Abuelita.

"you are a disaster! i can fix you." elena says a little aggressively, i give her a look and then she said " if that's what you want". mami looks around the table, seeing our hopeful faces.

"i do." she says

i do a little victory dance. "then you got this, and we got you" i say sitting in the chair in front of alex, i feel his hands on my shoulders.

"and ill be here for you, mi amor" abuelita says before presenting a clear spray bottle she used on me when i was studying in school.

mami and i laugh. "oh i see you found your-" mami started before getting sprayed in the face

"nno more talk. A estudiar" she says.

can you guys keep it down" we heard a slurred voice from the couch, it reveals scnheider laying there with his glasses wonky on his face.

"scheider why are you still here?" mami asks

he fixs his glasses and tilts his body up, "i cant feel my legs" in a duh tone, i might be here for a other day or to...oh its the scene from my snow globe" what fucking snow globe...
