I woke up feeling like crap that day for two reasons. One: my head hurt and my stomach felt like it was trying to digest itself. Two and most importantly: I was woken up by a loud voice blonde six year old.

"Wakey up Rylee," Deezul yelled, "It's almost time for breakfast!" I stayed still. "Rylee!" I didn't move. He walked over and tapped my shoulder. "Rylee it's time to get up. Come on; Aizik told me to hurry up." When I still didn't get up Deezul left my side and went to the door.

"AIZIK! RYLEE WON'T GET UP!"

"Deezul stop yelling," Aizik said calmly as he came into my room. "Rylee, I told you not to act surprised when I woke you up at five in the morning." He shook my shoulder. "Come on~. Don't be difficult."

"Is she dead," Deezul exclaimed, "Oh no she's dead! WHAT ARE WE GONNA-" There was the sound of a hit and Deezul went quiet. Aizik placed a hand to my forehead.

"Mm, I expected this to happen." Then in a quieter voice said, "I thought they said they wouldn't do it. Deezul, go and get me a jacket for her."

A few seconds later Deezul was saying: "Here ya go!"

"Alright Rylee. Sit up."  He put his arm under me and brought me to a sitting position. He put my arms through the jacket sleeves and picked me up. "Deezul, go tell Mateyo I'll be there in a few minutes." Deezul ran out the door.

"Okay Rylee," Aizik said. "We're going on a trip."

"To where," I muttered.

"Oh, you are awake. Well, we're going to a wonderful place: the magical land of outside."

"Never been there." We, well he, started walking to the magical land of outside. We even took the elevator.

Once we got to the magical land of outside, Aizik set me down on a bench.

"Hey Jesa," he called. "Could you watch her for me?"

"Sure," a girl's voice responded.

"Rylee," Aizik said, "Get some sleep."

"But I just woke up"

"Then get some more sleep. I'll be back in about thirty minutes."

 --------------------

When I woke up again, I felt a lot better than the first time. My head wasn't hurting at all, my stomach gave up on eating itself which is always a plus, and there was a big plate of food sitting there in wait.

There was also Mateyo, but I had mixed feelings about him. He might have a sweet, baby-like demeanor, but he still kidnapped me.

"Oh, um, hi Rylee. Are you feeling better," he asked. I sat all the way up.

"Yeah, a lot better than before." He must've seen me staring at the food because he pushed it to me.

"Um, Aizik told me to get you some food. I didn't know what you liked, so I just got some pancakes. Everyone likes pancakes, right?"

Up until that point, I'd never had pancakes. Pancakes were for rich people. They were one of those foods you saw the celebrities eat when they were at home or at five star restraints. I took a small bite was amazed at how delicious it tasted. They were fluffy and soft with a hint of sweetness. It was like chewing a pile, but with flavor. It tasted even better when Mateyo told me to dip it into some syrup. And these people ate like this everyday.

I looked up at Mateyo. He was fidgeting and had a pained look on his face. "Are you okay," I asked him.

"Oh, um, yeah. Just kinda sore from yesterday."

"What happened yesterday?"

He shifted uncomfortably. "I had to put in some extra training as a punishment for messing up yesterday."

"Was it that tough?"

"Trust me, the kind of training we do, you wouldn't want to do anymore than you have to." We were silent for a bit so I went back to eating my pancakes. Then he asked me was I okay.

"Do you mean right now or overall?"

"I guess both."

"Hm, well right now I'm pretty alright. I don't feel so sick anymore. Overall though, I'm not feeling so good."

"Why, what's wrong?" I think I stared at him as if he was the stupidest person in the world.

"What do you mean what's wrong?! I was kidnapped yesterday. It's barely been twenty-four hours and you people are acting like nothing happened!"

"Sorry..." He held his head down. He looked so sad, depressed even, I wanted to tell him it wasn't his fault but it kinda was.

"Y'know, I didn't want to bring you here. They made me. I wish I could help you, but I'd probably get us both hurt." He stood up. "Well, I guess I'll be going now. I'm not off punishment just yet." He walked away, his head hanging low.

"He sure knows how to make a person feel bad."

"Tell me about it," I heard someone say. It was the same voice from earlier. I turned and saw a girl about Aizik's age standing to my left. She had light brown hair pulled up into a small, neat bun and pale green eyes. She looked delicate and fragile, like a leaf shaking in the wind. She smiled at me. "Hi there, my name's Jesika but most people call me Jesa."

"Hi. Oh, you were the girl Aizik told to watch me, weren't you?"

"Yup that's me! Oh and don't worry too much about Mat. He knows how to make you feel guilty."

"Mat? Oh, you mean Mateyo. Yeah...does he really mess up that much?"

She nodded. "He tries but he's always so distracted or just doesn't get it. I feel bad for him." She paused. "But back to you. Are feeling good enough to go around?"

I tried standing and found myself able to keep my balance. "Jesa, do you think you could show me one of those dog things?"

"Aizik didn't show you one yesterday?" I shook my head. "Well then let's go.

 ----------------

When we arrived in what we call a kennel, I felt like I was gonna have a heart attack. Those dogs looked way too much like Wolves. And there were all of these little kids just playing with them like they were best friends.

A little one ran up to us. It was white and had brown fur on its face and ears that made it look like it was wearing a mask. Jesa picked it up.

"Hey there baby! How's my little boy doing?"

Seeing Jesa talk to that thing like a child was the weirdest thing I'd seen in a long time.

"Rylee, I want you to meet Riko."

"Um, hi?" Riko leaned towards me, I guess to smell me.

"Riko's a Papillon."

"I thought he was a dog."

Jesa giggled. "Well yeah. A Papillon is a type of dog."

"There are different types of dogs?"

"There used to be different types of a lot of animals before the Evolution. Y'know, I think they should probably rename that. Evolution is when one animal makes a lot of different ones, right?"

I shrugged my shoulders. Riko was still trying to smell me. I felt something cold on the palm of my hand and jumped. When I turned, I saw a dog a lot similar to the one in the gym. It came up to my waist and had longish golden fur and big brown eyes.

"That's Aizik's dog Kimee. She's a Golden Retriever." Kimee barked and I jumped. Jesa laughed. "Don't worry! She's a lot friendlier than Aizik. Go on; pet her."

I gingerly placed a hand on top of  Kimee's head. She licked my hand which made me flinch.

"See, she likes you!" I rubbed her head and her tail wagged quickly.

"HI RYLEE," Deezul yelled. I knew it was him without turning around. Kimee barked and ran to Deezul. She put her paws on his shoulders and licked his face.

"KIMEE! Aren't you a good girl! Alright, down girl!" Kimee went back on the ground. Deezul walked towards me. He was accompanied by a little light skinned African-American boy with curly brown hair and a little blonde haired girl with hazel eyes.

"Rylee, I want you to meet my friends. This is Eliot and Makayla."

"Nice to meet you," they both said.

"Rylee, wanna see go and see Aizik sparing?"

"Ooh yeah," Jesa exclaimed, "Let's go Rylee!"

               ---------------------------

Now, I would just like to commend Aizik. Sure, looking back on everything, what he was training for wasn't the best. Still, I had to give him props.

He was sparing against a dark haired boy, well man, who was older than him. The training arena looked like a larger version of a curatrix sparing field, which was only a large rectangular dirt field with two white lines in either side. Above the two was a ceiling made of glass allowing sunlight to get in. Lining the sides were various obstacle courses and training materials. Bleachers stood a few feet behind those.

The dark haired one flashed forward first. When he materialized in front of Aizik, there was a bluish tinted knife in his hands. Aizik met the man with what looked like a glowing white shield. He pushed his opponent back with it and created something in the shape of a gun. Aizik fired blazingly bright bullets of light at the dark haired man, all of which were dodged in quick blue flashes.

The dark haired man bent down and a sky blue barrier materialized in front of him. I couldn't see behind it so I turned my attention towards Aizik. He stood still until suddenly a barrage of blue flew towards him, but it seemed like her was ready for this.  He lifted his arm and the blue pellets turned white and flashed violently bright.

When the light subsided, Aizik was standing above the man pointing a gun, a real one, at his head.

"Spar to Aizik. Match to Aizik. Score 7-3," someone, a referee I assumed, said. Aizik smiled and helped the young man up.

"Good job Maikal," he says. Aizik waves to us before going to take a break in the bleachers

It was an amazing show and would've been even better had Deezul not talked to the entire time. If he had been saying something meaningful, maybe I wouldn't have been so annoyed.

After watching that amazing sight and being annoyed by a six year old, the five of us went to get lunch and then back to the kennel. Well, Deezul, Eliot, Makayla, and I. Jesa had went to go do something.

I played with a little black and white puppy. Deezul said it was a Husky puppy which confused me at first because it didn't look that big. Then Makayla explained that the kind of dog was a Husky.

When Jesa came back, she gave me some 'good' news: I could have a puppy.

"Why don't you get that one," Eliot said pointing to the puppy I was playing with. The little puppy wagged her tail. She must have liked the idea.

"I don't know," I said, "I don't think I'm ready quite yet."

"Oh come on Rylee! She's so cute," Deezul pressed.

"No, I'm not ready for a puppy yet." That's when Aizik came in. "Oh there you are," he said.

"Hey big brother," Deezul seemingly yelled. I thought that maybe that was his normal speaking voice.

Aizik nodded his way. "Rylee, can I ask a favor of you?"

"Sure."

"Can you watch Deezul and some of his friends tomorrow?"

Deezul gasped. "Yeah! Please Rylee please!"

I glared at Aizik. He smiled sweetly back. He knew what he was doing.

Why me? I thought. Aizik must've read my mind.

"Because, tomorrow is an all day training day and they're not old enough and we need some extra help."

I sighed. "Okay, I'll do it."

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAY," Deezul cheered. "RYLEE'S GONNA WATCH US!"

I stared at the little boy and waited for the headache to come on.
