~ Carlos's pov ~
So me and Jade have become better friends in all of this time, Will is still making fun of me for not asking her out but....... I don't really see why. I mean she wouldn't go out with me anyway.

I've gotten to be a great healer and have become 'second in command' for the Apollo cabin. I've also gotten taller so now I'm 5'11 so I'm 11 inches taller then Jade now, but not so tall that some of the Hephaestus kids can't look down at me still.

Jade haven't gotten any taller which is extremely funny and still only lets me call her short or say any kind of short joke to her, she's gotten to be an excellent sword person (that's what it's called right?) and she became the head councilor of the Poseidon after her brother Percy died on a quest with 4 people in it.

The camp has also opened up towards Jade and now isn't an outcast anymore.

Demigod life has had its ups and downs for us but we're getting threw it

"Hey Carlos!!" Jade says as she jumps onto my shoulder laughing.

'She's always smiling now and laughing occasionally its a nice change' I think to myself as I pat her head," what's up shrimp?"

She rolls her eyes still smiling, "you've got Chiron calling for you. Something about a mission that needs to be taken care of and he wants you to do it"

"Really? Am I going by myself?"

"Don't know, you'll have to see what Chiron says" she tells me as she jumps off my shoulder,"have fun!"then she ran off.

I sigh and head to the big house, ' wonder what it is this time' I think to myself as I get there.

Chiron is on the porch drinking tea while reading a newspaper, "aw good your hear" he says as he looks up from his paper, "I need you to deliver this package to the Romans at camp Jupiter. You'll meet Hazel and her horse in Illinois and give it to her then come back to camp. Understand?"

"Yea, I got it"

"Good. This should be done in two days but if it's not we're going to send someone after you, alright?"

"Ok, but that shouldn't be a problem"

Chiron chuckles, "let's hope for the best" he gives me the package and then sends me on my way.

I'm in Illinois at the meeting stop when a girl on a horse rides over to me.

"Are you Carlos"

"That depends are you Hazel?"

She nods,"yes i am"

"Great then I can give this to you" I say giving her the package, "Oh and I'm Carlos"

She nods and takes the package, "ok well thanks" then she takes off and in a blink of an eye I couldn't see her anymore

"Well, that went well" I say getting onto the motorcycle the camp let me barrow and start to head back when all of a sudden everything goes black.

I grunt as I get hit in the stomach and feel myself fall off the motorcycle while I was going 20 mph down an empty street. I then feel myself start to loos conscious, "no......" I mutter, 'sorry Chiron' I think, 'looks like I'm going to be needing that rescue person after all'

~ Jade's pov ~
I'm running to the big house, Chiron called for me and it's about Carlos, ' I hope he's ok' I think to myself as I run inside.

Chiron is there looking out a window, "your here"

"Yea, now what happened?" I ask a bit panicked, I loved the idiot, even if it took me a year to realize it, but I do and I care about what happens to him.

Chiron chuckles a little halfheartedly, "go to Illinois, Carlos went missing there. That was the place we picked up a signal from the bike we gave him"

"Alright, I'll go now then" I tell him.

He nods as an ok then I run out.

I show up at the place where the bike is and look at the ground around for tracks, I end up finding big dents in the ground and a fading trail of blood.

I suck in my breath a little and get onto the motorcycle Carlos was using and follow the trail.

It leads me to an abandoned car factory, "please still be alive...." I pray say quietly to myself as I turn off the bike and sneak in quickly and quietly.

Inside its dark so I have to go to the lower levels to get a better look as there is light there. Once I get down I see that the light is actually a cooking with a pot hanging over it. And besides it tied to a pole was Carlos. He was covered in scratches and what looked like a nasty gash on his leg. His helmet was on the ground under his feet since he was currently 2 feet off the ground.

Around the fire were 4 cyclops who were chopping up vegetables and putting them into the pot along with some kind of liquid that sizzled when it landed on one of the Giants legs making them howl in pain.
Another cyclops yelled at them and they continued to do what they were doing.

' think, think, think' I though to myself ,' I have to figure out a way to save him before he gets eaten!' I look back to where he is, 'but that's easier said then done'

Carlos was tired up right next to the pot which was in the middle of all 4 giants.

I couldn't think of anything better so I ended up attacking. I took out 3 of the Giants before the last one knew what was happening. When it did it growled and tipped over the pot spilling the contents all over the ground melting Carlos's helmet. I jumped onto the Giants head in all of the confusion and cut it off killing it.

I then made my way over to Carlos once the contents from the pot disappeared and left scorch marks on the floor.

"Carlos!" I shook his shoulder and he groaned.

"Jade? What are you doing here?"

"Getting you out" I said as I started cutting the ropes holding him to the pole, 'good thing I brought 2 helmets with me' I thought to myself as I cut one of the many ropes, 'it's gone now' 

Once I got him down from the pole I laid him down on the floor and started to wrap up his leg, "you really got yourself into a big mess, you were going to be eaten"

Carlos chuckled, "yea, I guess I was" then he winced as I tied the bandage on his legs so it wouldn't fall off.

"Sorry"

"It's fine" he said as he took some ambrosia out of his pocket and ate some of it.

"Ready to go back home?" I asked him as I helped him up off the floor.

"Yea, oh and by the way. Thanks for saving me" he said as he put his hand on my shoulder using me for balance as he limped as we went over to the motorcycle.

"Your welcome, and just know that I would do it again if you needed it"

He chuckles, "I know"
