johnnys pov
i stood up from my seat as fast as i could.
"annie leblanc?" he called. i raised my hand and walked towards him. "she had a terrible fall, that's for sure. her head was bleeding, so we applied stitches. she's not awake right now but she is sound."
"what's going to happen when she wakes up?" i questioned.
"right now, we don't know. everything could go back to normal, or she could have memory loss. we aren't exactly sure yet."
"can i see her?"
"are you immediate family?" i shook my head.
"then no."
"wait! i'm her boyfriend please. just let me see her for two minutes!" i lied. i know i'm not her boyfriend.
"fine." the doctor sighed. he opened the door wide so i could go inside.
she laid on the small hospital bed. i saw her pale skin and her beautiful face. i sat on a stool and rolled it towards her. somehow she still managed to be as beautiful as ever.
i put my hand on hers, and squeezed it tightly.
"please wake up." i whispered. "i need you annie. you're so special. you mean so much to me. and i shouldn't have kissed you, i know that. but all of the old memories we had, and all of the good times, it came back. and your a fighter. you'll get through this. i love you so much."
"times up, let's go kid." the doctor spoke from the doorway.

i stood up from my chair, and kissed annies cheek. i let her hand go, and exited the room.
i told her i love you. for the first time.
now to tell her when she's awake.

i got up from the incredibly uncomfortable chair outside annies hospital room, and walked to the breakfast place across the hall.
i ordered a water, because i haven't really ate much these past two days. it's hard to eat, when the person you love, could die.
out of the corner of my eye, i saw a doctor running into annies room. i threw the dollar on the counter and ran over.
the door was cracked open and i ran threw the doors.
my eyes began to water as i saw annie, awake in the bed.
"yo-you're awake." i smiled at her. her head turned towards me, and i saw her eyes widen. i saw a faint smile form on her lips as she looked into my eyes.
"we should give you two some privacy." the doctors exited the room which left me and annie, alone.
"so" i said awkwardly.
"hi." she smiled patting the edge of her bed.
"so before you say anything else, i kind of told the hospital people we were together." i laughed.
"you didn't!" her mouth swung open with a smile.
"i did." she giggled her cute little giggle and smiled.
"i know you just woke up, but i need to know. why did you pull away? was it something i did?"
"no no. of course not. i think it was because i was scared."
"of me?"
"never in a million years. of losing you."
i could feel my smile naturally form.
"so, how do you feel?"
"i feel like i just woke up from the dead." she laughed. i smiled at her beautiful laugh.
the doctor came into the room and explained that annie could come home today, as long as she stays on the medicine and rests.
annies pov
i carried my small med-kit into the house. johnny was following close behind me, just so i wouldn't fall or get hurt.
"ok dad you don't need to stay by my side the whole rest of the day you know?" i turned towards him and laughed slightly.
"well i care." he smiled and grabbed my hand. it seemed like we got even closer while i wasn't awake. "annie i sort of told you something while you were sleeping."
"okay, what is it?" i asked.
"i, i told you-"
"annie!" i heard kenzie, brynn, and laurens voices smudged together behind me. i quickly turned around and embraced them in a hug.
"are you okay? what happened?" brynn pulled away rubbing my arms.
"i just fell, that's it. and yes i'm fine." i slouched down into the living room chair and flicked on the tv.
"nothing else happened? just a fall?" brynn cocked her head and turned to johnny.
"yep, nothing else." i faked a smile and relaxed my head onto the back of the couch.
"ok well, turns out the parasite issue is back. we don't have school for the next month." lauren grinned while putting her bag down on the table.
"really? i thought they fixed that a while ago." i turned my head to the side.
"they thought they did, but i guess they didn't." kenzie shrugged, "i've gotta ask, did something happen between you two? you seem awfully close."
i exchanged a expression with johnny in which i could read perfectly. we turned back to kenzie simultaneously.
"yeah, something did happen." i looked back up at johnny, and then down to the ground.
kenzie, lauren, and brynn all raised their eyebrows with full intent to know.
but i wasn't going to tell them. not yet.

ur all probably shocked that this stories ending, even tho i haven't updated in a while. i've had this novel in a draft for a while and just finished it today. my hearts not in this book anymore and i'm sorry if i disappointed you. high school is rough enough my man. being a freshman is a shit ton of work.
