"They're not done," (Y/n) said, her voice steady but urgent. "More drones are coming. They're closing in from all directions."
The group tensed, their eyes darting around the factory. Bakugou growled in frustration. "Damn it, how many of these stupid things do they have?!"
(Y/n) turned to the group, her expression resolute. "They're not going to stop until we're taken down. We can't stay here and fight them all—we'll get overwhelmed."
"So what's the plan?" asked Todoroki, his hands already glowing faintly with ice and fire.
(Y/n) stepped forward, her hands beginning to emit a soft, radiant glow as she activated her energy quirk. "I'll use my quirk to surround us in an energy barrier and fly us up through the elevator shaft. It's the fastest way to get to the top floor and reach the others."
Bakugou scoffed, crossing his arms. "Tch, I don't need your damn help. I can get there myself."
(Y/n) turned to him with a firm but understanding look. "Katsuki, I know you can, but we don't know what else is waiting for us. We need to preserve our strength. This fight is only going to get harder from here."
Bakugou hesitated, his fiery gaze meeting hers before he looked away, a faint blush creeping onto his cheeks. "Fine, but this is a one-time thing, got it?"
Kirishima stepped forward, his brow furrowed in concern. "What if they stop the elevator or try to trap us in the shaft? Isn't that too risky?"
(Y/n) shook her head, her tone calm and reassuring. "They already know where we are right now. There's no point in hiding anymore. The best way to outmaneuver them is to move quickly and unpredictably."
She turned to Todoroki. "Shoto, I need you to destroy the ceiling of the elevator. Once it's open, I can fly us up through the shaft to the top floor."
Todoroki nodded, his calm demeanor masking the urgency in his actions. "Understood."
The group moved toward the elevator as the drones' whirring grew louder in the distance. Once inside, Todoroki raised his hand, flames igniting as he aimed at the ceiling. With a controlled burst of fire, he melted through the metal, creating an opening that revealed the long, dark shaft leading upward.
(Y/n)'s energy flared brighter as she extended her hands. A glowing barrier formed around the group, encasing them in a warm, protective light. The energy hummed softly, steady and strong.
"All right, everyone, hold on," (Y/n) instructed. She glanced at Bakugou, who muttered something under his breath but stepped closer, his face still slightly red.
With a powerful surge of her energy quirk, (Y/n) lifted the group off the ground and out of the elevator, ascending rapidly through the open shaft. The glowing barrier shielded them from the walls as they shot upward, the hum of her energy blending with the faint mechanical sounds below.
As they ascended, the group looked upward, the faint light of the top floor coming into view. (Y/n) gritted her teeth, focusing on maintaining the barrier and their speed. Her heart pounded, not from fear, but from determination.
"We're almost there!" she called out over the rush of air.
The light grew brighter as they neared the top. With one final push, (Y/n) propelled them through the opening of the top floor, landing softly in a wide corridor. The energy barrier dissipated, leaving the group standing together, ready for whatever awaited them.
Kirishima exhaled, looking around. "That was intense, but we made it."
Bakugou stretched his arms, rolling his shoulders as if to brush off the moment. "Tch, don't get used to me going along with your plans, Tenshi."
(Y/n) smiled faintly, glancing at her friends. "Let's keep moving. We're not done yet."
The wind from the turbines howled around them, whipping (Y/n)'s hair as she focused on the chaotic scene ahead. Her enhanced hearing picked up the hum of drones closing in from multiple directions. She scanned the area and spotted Uraraka cornered near one of the large pillars, with robots closing in fast. Above them, Midoriya floated with Melissa on his back, propelled by Uraraka's anti-gravity quirk, aiming for the emergency exit in the distance.
(Y/n) narrowed her eyes, her enhanced sight catching the glint of the incoming robots' metallic frames. Without hesitation, she darted forward. At the same time, Bakugou burst into action beside her, both moving with almost synchronized precision.
The two unleashed their attacks simultaneously, Bakugou's explosions meeting (Y/n)'s energy bolts midair, obliterating the oncoming robots in a fiery spectacle of sparks and light.
"Kacchan! (Y/n)-Chan!" Midoriya shouted, relief flooding his voice as he saw them intercept the attack just in time.
From below, a massive wave of ice erupted, freezing another wave of drones in place. (Y/n) and Bakugou turned to see Todoroki and Kirishima sprinting toward them, Todoroki's ice quirk trailing in his wake.
"That was close. Are you okay?" Todoroki asked as he stopped beside Uraraka, who was catching her breath.
"I'm fine," Uraraka replied, steadying herself. "I used my Quirk on Deku and Melissa. They should be able to reach the top."
"Good work," Todoroki said with a nod, casting more ice to immobilize the incoming wave of drones. "Now you can help us finish off these things."
"Who died and made you boss?!" Bakugou growled, blasting apart another drone and landing in a crouch beside Todoroki.
"Aw, come on, man. We make a great team!" Kirishima chimed in, hardening his arms and smashing through another drone with a wide grin.
"Dream on, you damn extra!" Bakugou shouted, propelling himself into the air to unleash another barrage of explosions on the swarm below.
(Y/n) darted toward Uraraka. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, thanks to you guys. But look!" Uraraka pointed toward Midoriya and Melissa, who were being blown off course by the powerful wind from the turbines.
"They're being blown away!" Uraraka cried out in alarm.
"I'll handle it!" (Y/n) said firmly. Her body glowed with a soft blue aura as she activated her energy quirk. In a flash, she shot into the air, leaving a trail of light in her wake.
Midoriya struggled to keep Melissa steady as the gusts grew stronger, pushing them further from the emergency exit. He turned his head and saw (Y/n) closing in fast, her determined expression etched into her face.
"Grab on!" (Y/n) shouted, extending her hand. Midoriya reached out, his fingers brushing against hers. With a powerful yank, (Y/n) secured them both, her energy aura encasing them to stabilize their flight.
"We're too far from the emergency exit," Midoriya said, panic flickering in his voice. "What do we do?"
(Y/n) gritted her teeth and scanned the tower ahead. "Hold on tight!" she commanded, surging forward with a burst of speed.
They approached the tower at breakneck speed, the structure looming before them. (Y/n) clenched her fist, her energy quirk intensifying around it, forming a glowing gauntlet. With a mighty punch, she struck the side of the tower, shattering the wall and creating an opening. Debris flew outward as dust and fragments rained down.
"They're inside!" shouted Uraraka from below as she saw the impact. Deactivating her quirk, she dropped to the ground, landing beside Todoroki to continue the fight against the drones.
The hallway was tense, lit only by flickering lights, as (Y/n) lowered Melissa and Midoriya to the floor after their escape. Her energy aura faded, leaving a soft, residual glow around her as she exhaled heavily, leaning against the wall for support.
"Thank you, (Y/n)-Chan," Midoriya said, his voice brimming with gratitude. His relief quickly turned to concern as he noticed her slide down the wall to sit on the floor, her breathing labored.
"Woah, (Y/n)?" Melissa crouched beside her, her hand gently patting (Y/n)'s shoulder. Midoriya knelt on the other side, his worry evident in his wide eyes.
"I timed my punch perfectly back there," (Y/n) began, her voice slightly strained. "The moment I hit the wall, I shifted my energy focus. I had to decrease it to focus more on my strength—my half-demon side. The energy encasing weakened for a moment, but just before impact, I switched back to keep us afloat and land safely." She looked down at her hands, her tone laced with relief. "If I hadn't done that, we wouldn't have made it through."
Midoriya nodded, awed by her skill. "By what percent did you change it to?"
"80 percent," (Y/n) replied. "It was the fastest switch I've ever done."
Midoriya was about to ask more when his eyes fell on small droplets of blood trailing from the destroyed tower to (Y/n)'s foot. The fabric she had tied around it was soaked, and the skin peeking through appeared a mottled mixture of purple, pink, and blue. His breath caught.
"(Y/n)-chan! What happened to your foot?" he asked urgently, his hand reaching to inspect the injury.
(Y/n) pulled her foot back gently but firmly. "It's nothing. Just a scratch," she said. "I fought a serpent villain in the plant factory. They managed to land a blow with some kind of poison, but it was only numbing. I'll be fine."
She shifted her position and began to remove a portion of her dress. Midoriya blushed, his hands flailing awkwardly. "W-what are you—"
Melissa placed a hand on his shoulder, shaking her head. Underneath her dress, (Y/n) revealed a sleek, black one-piece lined with faint, star-like sparkles. It was modest yet fitted and functional for combat. She tore another strip from the ruined fabric of her dress and turned her back to the two, working to rewrap her foot tightly to stem the bleeding. Her movements were practiced and calm, though her jaw clenched with pain.
Once she stood, (Y/n) faced them with a steady smile. "It's fine. Let's focus on what's ahead. We're almost there. I trust our friends can handle things down below."
Melissa and Midoriya exchanged a look but nodded, standing with her. Midoriya's eyes lingered on her foot, the blood trail etched in his mind. His worry persisted, but he knew pressing further would only waste precious time.
The number on the wall read "198," and relief flickered among them—they were close. But that relief was short-lived. A faint sound reached (Y/n)'s ears—a light ding, followed by the hum of an elevator ascending. Her expression sharpened.
"Hold on. The elevator's coming up," she said, her voice low and urgent.
Midoriya and Melissa stopped in their tracks, looking toward the elevator doors.
As the doors opened with a soft chime, a towering man stepped out. Swordkill. His quirk had morphed his arms into massive, double-edged sword blades that gleamed menacingly under the dim light.
"Twilight," Swordkill sneered, his yellow eyes locking onto (Y/n). "I'm done playing games. Come quietly, and I might spare these kids."
Midoriya stepped forward, positioning himself between the villain and the girls. His red gauntlet gleamed as he raised it to block the first strike, the blade clashing with the reinforced material in a deafening clang. Sparks flew as Swordkill pushed against him, his strength overwhelming.
"Leave her alone!" Midoriya grunted, struggling to hold his ground. His legs wobbled as the villain's blade bore down on him.
Swordkill chuckled darkly. "You've got guts, kid, but you're out of your league." With a sharp movement, he pushed Midoriya backward, forcing him to stumble.
Melissa attempted to intervene, grabbing Swordkill's arm to pull him back, but he swung his elbow and sent her flying into the wall. Blood trickled from her arm as she winced.
(Y/n)'s eyes flared, her protective instincts kicking in. She moved with blinding speed, delivering a powerful kick to Swordkill's stomach, forcing him back. The villain staggered, clutching his midsection, but his smirk returned.
Midoriya recovered and launched himself forward, delivering a solid punch to Swordkill's jaw with the gauntlet. The villain crumpled to the floor, unconscious.
Without missing a beat, (Y/n) tore another strip from her dress and carefully wrapped it around Melissa's arm. "There," she said softly. "You'll be okay."
Melissa nodded, her eyes wide with gratitude. "Thank you, (Y/n)-Chan."
They sprinted toward the staircase, only to be met by two armed men at the next landing. The guards fired at them, but (Y/n) reacted swiftly. She shoved Melissa behind her, dodging the bullets with a fluid motion, her enhanced senses allowing her to predict the shots.
Midoriya leaped onto the walls, bouncing off to avoid the gunfire before landing a powerful kick that disarmed one guard. (Y/n) hurled two glowing energy bolts at the other, destroying his weapon. With a snarl, she lunged forward, her nails extended and slashing in swift, calculated strikes. The guard fell unconscious, his weapon clattering to the floor.
Breathing heavily, the three glanced at one another and continued to run across the halls.
