Darjeeling: "Have you heard of this saying? Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet."

Pekoe: "That was from a great Greek philosopher, Aristotle, right?

Darjeeling: " That's right."

The two sat on top of their Churchill, along with the other commanders who waited inside their respective Matildas. They were drinking tea, as they wait for me to reach the west uphill terrain for my vantage.

I was inside my Sherman, with Rosehip. Since they haven't deployed any crusaders, they've assigned Rosehip to drive for me. My Sherman has only two crews. Rosehip as the driver, and me as the gunner, loader, radio operator, and the commander. A lot of work isn't it? Although we only have a light obligation in this match. But if plan A fails, we would proceed to plan B where I should really put efforts to fulfill my four roles.

Yeah, since I will be working with Rosehip they told her already who I am, although I can only use my radio to contact the commander, Darjeeling. The other tanks must not hear my voice to hide my identity. That is why they called my Sherman as the "Mysterious Firefly".

By the way, my Sherman color is somehow brown, like the Matildas.

Darjeeling (On the radio): " Firefly, how is your status?"

Y/N (Responded trough radio): "We're only about half a mile to reach the area."

Darjeeling (Through radio): "Copy that."

Rosehip: "Can't this tank ran a little more faster?"

Y/N: "It's a medium tank with a long gun. It's not like the crusaders. Just drive as fast as it can."

Darjeeling: "Alright team, let's rollout."

The Churchill and the Matildas began to heat up their engines. They briskly ran through the muddy forest. Then streamed through a narrow pass between two mountains.

They raced through the meadow exposing themselves to the enemy.

Darjeeling: "All tanks, line up."

All tanks made their formation aligned horizontally with each other. The Churchill in the middle, and a flag tank Matilda at the back, as the British Grenadiers, play (You can play the video on top as you read).

Enemy Commander: "They're charging."

Enemy Vice Commander: "Formation! Ready your guns. Protect the flag tank!"

Darjeeling: "All guns ready."

"Fire."

The British heavy tanks began to fire all at once as they charge. Their shells hit some enemies and immobilized at least five enemy tanks.

Enemy Commander: "Open fire."

Still the British tanks briskly marched even under enemy fire. Only one of them was immobilized and was left behind. Their thick armor resisted the enemy shells.

Enemy Commander (Harrumphed before she speaks): "So you wanna play like this!?"

Enemy Vice Commander (Huffed): "Why are they charging in horizontal formation?"

Enemy Commander (Jeered): "They wanted to show us the discipline even at war. We also have that in here! All tanks line up!"

Once my Firefly reached the destination, half of my body went out of the cupola and I craned to see. The French tanks are also forming a horizontal line. Heavy tanks in the front line, medium tanks behind, and the flag tank at the back. The two teams exchanged fire like the old war between the British and the Americans.

But our main target is the flag tank. I am going to shoot it from this location. It's like the technique Earl Gray taught Darjeeling.

Early Gray is the former commander of St. Gloriana, she is the mentor of Darjeeling and Assam during their first year. From what I remember, when I read the manga "Saga of Pravda", she made Darjeeling very frustrated, because she taught her how to defend herself by flipping Darjeeling's skirt.

Later on, she told Darjeeling that she should be aware of her surroundings until then she took off Darjeeling's skirt.

Y/N: " We are attacking from an unexpected location. Commander Darjeeling is very brilliant."

Rosehip: "Can you do that?"

Y/N (While looking through the scope): "I should, it's our only objective."

It is why this Sherman had only two crews.

Rosehip: "What if we miss?"

Y/N: "Then we will proceed to plan B."

Rosehip clambered to look through the periscope.

Rosehip: "French tanks' armor is very thick. Where are you planning to shoot it?"

Y/N: "It doesn't have a fixed turret, so I will shoot in between the turret and the hull."

Rosehip: "Such a small area. Your aim must be accurate."

Y/N: "I trust this Firefly."

Rosehip: "It's your call."

All is ready now, but when I am about to step on the trigger, I noticed myself quivering.

Y/N: Calm down lad.

Then I just thought of the practice last night, when Darjeeling was right behind me, giving me such confidence.

Without hesitation, I stepped on it. [Kaboom!!!].

The aim was accurate, as it flew it will go straight to the weak spot of the tank. But at the same time, the enemy tank veered towards our direction. With split seconds, the shell hit the tank's turret instead. Indeed an armored Frenchman can't be easily penetrated.
We are now noticed by the enemy.

I looked around frantically. I was shocked until Darjeeling spoke through our radio.

Darjeeling: "Firefly, report?"

Y/N: "Ricochet."

Darjeeling: "Well then. They are tough as expected. We will proceed to plan B."

Rosehip: "What's the plan B again?"

Y/N: "Just charge."

Rosehip: "What?"

Y/N: "Just charge. At full speed!"

Rosehip: "Now we're talking."

The Sherman's track began to revolve violently and raced down through the slope. They noticed us and open fire. The Sherman weave through the rain of shells, Rosehip has the talent for this. While she drives, I fired back to the enemy and immobilized one of them. While the main force ram over the enemy tanks. It's now more like melee warfare. Close combat.

Y/N: "Focus on the flag tank Rosehip. We have to get near while they are busy with the main force."

Rosehip: "You got it!"

She dodged and weaved through the enemy company until we met the flag enemy tank, but their turret was pointing forward.

I immediately stepped on the trigger [Kaboom!!!] but at the same time, an AMX 50 rammed over us and destroyed our left track. I missed the target again.

I should ignore the AMX, I revolved the turret so that I can shoot the target in time. But there's no way, the AMX and the flag tank's turrets were already pointed at us! [Kaaboooom!!!!!!] And our white flag popped up.

I craned over through the optical periscope and noticed a shell from the east that hit the enemy flag tank.

For a moment there was silence until the enemy's white flag popped up. I felt a sudden widen in my chest, I felt the joy of victory as the plan was executed properly.

Darjeeling: "Well done team. We claimed victory on the first day of this tournament."

Then I heard the others from the radio, they were shouting and yelling with the ambiance of victory. But what's hidden from the east mountain was a huge British Tortoise.

Who's the gunner? It's no other than the best marksman of St.Gloriana, Assam. And I'm sure she's smiling right now.

Although in her mind, she only had figured out a funny joke.
