Once we finally got to the train station we realized that we need to be.. Well, less suspicious and stop attracting attention from the citizens boarding the train.

Mostly our swords and Inosuke's lack of a shirt and a boar head, that I don't believe will be coming off anytime soon.

Tanjiro started with trying to hide his sword in his haori and everyone followed, although Inosuke couldn't do much since he doesn't wear the uniform, so he opted to hiding it behind his back.

He also wanted to fight the train while calling it a 'metal beast' as he put it.

Me and Zenitsu walked over to the ticket booth and when we finally got to the front of the line.

The train was starting and we were about to miss the train so we all jumped into the caboose without paying for a ticket.

"Well, committing a minor crime wasn't on my to do list tonight but alright." I commented in a very monotonic tone.

But thankfully I'm at least slightly responsible and took the tickets whilst Zenitsu started running to the train.

"Kidding of course, though it was a very close call no thanks to Zenitsu over here." I continue while Zenitsu looked at me like he was about to pass out.

I passed all of the tickets to everyone and we went inside in search of Rengoku, which wasn't very difficult because you could hear him from the back of the train.

Once we got to the booth that he was in, unsurprisingly he was doing something that is part of some sort of daily routine he has.

"UMAI!"

Although, normally a swordsman should always cherish every bite of every meal in case it's their last.. Why so loud? That was always the question that I always asked when I was around him.

Also why does he have what? Ten, twenty boxes of bento? Is it really that good, or is he really just that hungry?

"UMAI!"

Once we got a bit closer to the man he turned around towards us with a very happy smile that lit up the room.

"Hello Young L/n! I see Young Komado and the rest of the group is here as well, splendid!" Rengoku cheerfully greeted, to be honest, Rengoku is probably the most laid back hashira other than Mitsuri, Shinobu, and possibly the mist hashira, he seemed pretty chill.

"So, I have a quick question. Where is this train going to? I just wanna know where the demon we're going to is." Zenitsu questioned Rengoku, clearly he must have miss heard the crow, because I don't think he realized that the demon was possibly on the train right now.

"You didn't know? The demon is allegedly on this train and there might be two due to about half of the dead bodies looking different from the original ones. One simply taking chunks while the others are dismembered." Rengoku replied very casually, and somehow continued to eat after that graphic description of how the two demons feast on humans. Not to mention that we don't know their rank."

I'm sure though after seeing so much as a demon slayer, it wouldn't be as surprising or revolting after several times so maybe that might be why he's so casually talking about it.

"Wait... WHAT SO WE DON'T KNOW THE RANK, WE DON'T KNOW HOW MANY, AND WE DON'T KNOW WHERE THE DE-!" Zenitsu began questioning very loudly I must say. Until he was about to alert the people on the cart so a knocked him in the back of the head to keep him quiet.

Rengoku then started laughing and asked us all to take a seat and passed Tanjiro and I a bento box while Zenitsu tried to keep Inosuke from jumping out the window while the train is at full speed down the track.

Tanjiro sat beside Rengoku while I got two seats to myself, Zenitsu and Inosuke sitting next to each other probably for supervision on Inosuke. Tanjiro and Rengoku is having some conversation about 'Hinokami Kagura' whatever that means.

The ticket collector came through the door and began clipping tickets, I gave him mine and all of a sudden something felt... Off.

Suddenly my eyes began to get heavy, too heavy for me to resist falling asleep, just before I closed my eyes I could see a figure appear, not like the ticket collector though it's aura seemed nonhuman, as a hand reached out my eyes closed fully and before I can process a single thing though.

I'm in the court yard of my home, wisteria petals falling beneath me.

My siblings are playing around me, giggling, laughing, running around.

My sword is gone but I go into  defensive position for a moment as I turn around.
