A Rather Lengthy Note (Feel free to skip): Might as well add a little treat along with the other world react section of the interlude. These are outtakes, ideas, and commentary. Never had this much support before, only other story with similar views would be N's Whacky Adventures. To note, some of these are just "Outline" or "Script" formats because I usually add detail later. Sometimes I write out whole scenes, but most are outlines or merely concepts I scrapped for feeling out of place or getting obsolete when new episodes come out for I did in depth character analysis. Or realized certain things and small details. Like, damn the show has a lot of foreshadowing and small details upon closer inspection which can render some things obsolete, but I'm not looking to rewrite much at this stage lmao.

EP4 is a bit, more on the edge there of comedy slasher archetype and while I could make some edits, as it skips over some development where characters process events and react. I won't. I don't have the creativity to try and do anything of the sort lol. I'll stick to canon! That is my creed for this fic! As close as I can manage.

Even if some bits of EP4 feel, off. I have some ideas for how they could reason it. Stress, anxiety, can't see that far after all they have vision impairment replication, who makes drones suffer vision loss?! There's also the factor they just can't believe what they are seeing. V is just, V. She hides her insecurities and pains underneath that psycho persona. She's kind of to be expected. It's when EP5-6 comes around does she show more of herself. Worker drones are also quick to forgive, that is a given. Probably empathy programming. Even if Uzi and Doll show otherwise. Then again, they are outliers. Just drafting up ideas.

I'd do a Q&A but I technically already answer questions in the comment so I'm not quite sure what a Q&A would achieve when I already answer questions I can. So I opted for commentary for deleted scenes. But if anyone has any questions, I'll see if I can answer them.

Will I add more characters (Tessa, Alice, Beau, Roboroach (robot cockroach thing), Sentinels)?

No, I'm not likely to add anymore characters. Tessa, past or present, is still largely an unknown factor, and while there was enough of her to understand a bit, I'll save that of the manor gang reacting to the future. I'm also not that good at Aussie talk. Not that she talks in Aussie much, but I don't know if it's typed any different than American west coast English. As she never really said anything Aussie-like from what I remember.

Alice & Beau, while that would be interesting to see Alice enjoy the show (canonically she'd likely enjoy it, the action, the suffering of others, she did enjoy watching N get mauled), Alicia está loca. Beau is pretty much N, but mute, and has a baby body. J is reasonable past her stereotypical asshole corporate boss exterior, Alice is just crazy, her personality is just insane hillbilly cannibal from a slasher film. Tessa in the present? Probably dead to be honest, Past Tessa? Manor gang fic.

I wouldn't blame the human remnants if they started banning AI outright to remove potential hosts from the solver's grasp. But that's theorizing, EP7 left major lore exposition and stuff, answered some questions, raised new ones. But hey, it's a good mystery.

I contemplated the AbsoluteSolver attempting to intervene, but I don't like it when there's too much shenanigans going on. It can be chalked up Chibisan being the usually silent omnipotent being keeping it from knowing this is happening. As fun as a "Villains React To Future" would be... I think I'll skip that and go straight for a "Fix It Fic". Imagine Doll, Sentinel (Leader one), Alice, Tessa (CYN/Tessa Hybrid Creature Thing, Tescyn, Cynessa, Cynwalker, Skinwalker, Flayed One), and Serial Designation J saw the future. Imagine how Doll most of all has to consider Uzi might probably end the world, the Sentinels may or may not start hunting down the disassembly drones and maybe even Uzi themselves because why not? They can probably leave that place after being let out and have reason to leave. AbsoluteSolver/CYN would probably... misdirect, it may do things a little... differently. Be cool fic idea, but there's likely better folks to handle it. I wouldn't even know where to begin, well I do know where to begin, but how to go from there is unknown.

As for why the cockroach, robot, thing, isn't here. I have no clue if it's aligned with AbsoluteSolver, CYN, or something else entirely. EP7 didn't even show it. So it's either gone because of irrelevance or just was a literal "Plot Moving Device Lol" McGuffin. Honestly, it might have been precisely that. It doesn't even have an official name last I checked, so I just call it Roboroach. Creative, I know.

Will I Rewrite?

I don't want to rewrite at this stage. I rewrote this fic twice, with smaller edits here and there since (mostly grammar corrections, typos, or missing words). Rewriting it at this point as I hadn't done one since EP3, uh, that would kill my momentum worse to say the least. I'd fall into the pit all those reaction writers fall into when they say they'll rewrite, and then their motivation plummets as they go on indefinite hiatus for years.

Lots of the later episodes rendered some smaller reactions, obsolete. But I decided if I ever rewrite, it'll be after I finish this, because rewriting might end in permanent hiatus. In fact most deleted scenes were taken out in most cases because I felt they were too out of character or they became out of character. Doll's being the most as with only the pilot at the time I had not a clue and EP2 had a rewrite deemed necessary at the time, no idea Doll would speak another language and have the most dead serious personality ever.

Murder Drones subverted expectations with every episode. Even EP4... by confusing me more than any other! But, it offered some insight into the personality of them student worker drones. As well as some minor lore dumping. Someone can probably set up a timeline of events, because it seems after escaping the lab Nori and Yeva and maybe a few others must have made it to the cabin. Started to draw/write stuff in there. Because the lab's located in the city, under the refinery looking facility. I don't think the cabin was another lab, just where Nori and co went to after the collapse. Narrowly dodging the Sentinels and probably why Alice said Nori left them behind. Likely the sentinels cut the group in half, and between facing rather capable robo-attack-dinos getting away does seem like a better option.

I can only assume what happened and what Alice meant by that. She is crazy, but that doesn't mean she's dishonest. I don't really see what the point would be to lie, other than to mess with Uzi.

Why The Long Wait?

Oh boy, mostly procrastination, planning for content for my YT channel, gaming, had a bad migraine for a couple days back in February, chores, keeping my GPA as high as I can especially now that I am in an Honors society, making sure I got my year's enrollment stuff sorted, along with my finances regarding tuition and other costs. Because supplemental material like books are purchased separately. I also worked on other drafts in my meantime, as well as content for my YT channel.

Mostly procrastination and I suppose a burn out. I contemplated back and forth between rewrite and not. But, I decided to continue as is. Rewrites for react fics are a pitfall, react fics for as long as I remember have always fallen into that pitfall of a rewrite, then are never updated again and dropped.

What led me to write this particular fanfiction?

Similar to Avruk, I have a love for react fics. Nice past time to read them, especially those rich in character reactions like Omniscient by Thinmintssss for Unordinary. They add a lot of in depth reactions, limited cast helps too I suppose. They got like 6 total characters reacting to their future. One of the best react fics I ever read.

Initially it was self-serving. I suppose I was a little... hasty. I wanted react fics, but nobody really made any. I think I was among the first to make one on wattpad, though Kaijufan made omakes for his fic that were reactions, which were made around the same time I first posted mine.

It was a, "Fine I'll do it myself" moment because no one else was taking up the mantle... then again, I quickly found out to stick to canon when only two episodes dropped, I had to go through two rewrites. I would play it safe after that, trying to stick to canon, and even waited for episodes to release to modify reactions or learn more so I don't assume anything. Not planning to rewrite anytime soon.

How Inaccurate Was Doll On The First Draft?

She was a cheerleader. Stereotypical easy to scare girl afraid of murder drones like every other drone. I cringe every time I look back. I should have guessed differently. Anything but that. Canon Doll would look at me with disappointment. Then again, she didn't leave much of any impression in EP1, how was I supposed to know?

Will The Combat Chamber Be Used Again?

Yeah, after EP6 and EP7 for sure. Thus far there wasn't... to much chaos. Of course the interlude was just, processing stuff and the sort. I jsut realized a missed oppertunity after EP2, reeeeee-

Ah, AbsoluteSolver, making life suffering since... we don't really know honestly. MDs doesn't have a clear canonical timeline of events lol. Now that Tessa is MIA, who knows truly when the massacre happened!

Will the WDF become badass with enough training? Probably not. But they'll be better than simply running away or getting utterly massacred without so much as even trying to fight back.

Is Doll Google Translated?

Yes... Bing Microsoft Translator actually. I heard it's like 1% more accurate than google. That's why her Russian here sounds bad lol.

Favorite Fanfics?

Don't really have a favorite, I do have genres I dislike, but for the most part so long as it's not hyper angst or extremely depressing, I only dabble in that to study how one would tackle mental stuff. I'm don't really read school AUs, or RL AUs either, as they often have a similar formula.

I do like action adventure. Mystery is good on the first read, but after you find out the mystery it kind of loses it's value once you know the truth.

How did you learn of Murder Drones?

I got into SMG4 and Liam Vickers rather recently at the time. Back in 2021 I was introduced into Liam's Vickers content. I sometimes say 2020, because I did see Cliffside but I didn't know Liam Vickers made Cliffside... yeah I didn't realize Liam Vickers made cliffside, didn't pay attention to the video creator at the time lmao I was just surfing the web for cool videos.

Ships?

Uzi x N. V x N. I won't push for more. I'm not a romance writer, I'm completely new to that sort of a thing so no one else will be thrown into N's miniscule harem. Just canon, I can't handle anymore than that with my zero romance knowledge.

Will Doll Eventually Join With Uzi?

Eventually. Probably. EP7 shows Yeva and Nori were good friends. I mean, they seemed close. Sad how Uzi and Doll ended up as rivals until death. Opposites. Of course it's probably only going to be like, around EP7 Doll considers helping Uzi out. Maybe it's because she dies in the future and the world ends anyways, maybe old habits die hard. For sure, it seems, like AS might not need Doll, or Uzi. It just pulled a "Fine I'll do it myself" moment.

Because in the end it seems like Uzi wasn't needed. It just went there to pop the patch, pop the research data, and finish the job itself when it became apparent Uzi wouldn't. It only got back up in that hybrid body after it failed to get the job done as Uzi. So perhaps it was for a moment going to use Uzi, but once Uzi took back control of herself through the powerful of anger and love. It decided to handle the singularity creation itself. It just tried to use Uzi because I guess it enjoyed it. It likes playing around a bit. It's crazy like that, or merely derives some sort of twisted pleasure from seeing such pain. It really messed with N there. Literally tried to decapitate itself, knowing N would stop it. It was just messing with him, it knew he wouldn't kill Uzi, he lost V, he won't lose Uzi. N would rather sacrifice himself so Uzi could live, he's just too nice.

So, maybe, but a ways off. Doll probably won't really like working with the killer of her parents, however. Honestly, who wouldn't? Even Nori was like, "Uzi wtf he killed me you know?" like Yeva probably has the same opinion, but Doll agrees with this line of thought. It's understandable. I mean, no offense, but it's like falling in love with a Nazi defector. They still participated in massacres and the sort. Now you could argue it was "I was following orders" or I was under the control of some eldritch horror thing, but that's about the only comparison I can make. N murdered countless humans, and many more drones either under the influence or willingly. I don't think "I was possessed" or "I was following orders" holds up in court.

Morally speaking, Nori and Doll are correct. They cannot quite be forgiven just like that. They were complicit in the state the universe is in, being destroyed as they know it. Sure they defected, but that doesn't erase their crimes. That's likely Doll's stance. Which is reasonable.

I mean if your loved ones were murdered by someone like N, you'd probably not be very forgiving. I know most people would never forgive a person who destroyed their life.

TLDR; Yes, probably, eventually.

Do I have any pets?

Chickens, I also had ducks, once upon a time, but then one day after a nice breakfast of noodle soup with roasted chicken, they were gone. Never knew where they went.

My parents told me they had to get rid of them because the neighbors complained the ducks were too loud. Where hens slept in night, ducks still make some quacking noises. I still remember their names, Quack and Daffy. Quack spoke the most, that's why she was named Quack. Daffy spoke periodically, but Quack was always QWAK WAK WAK WAK- and only stopped to take a breather. I can get why the neighbors didn't like them. Even at night the ducks kind of quacked.

Will they react to other worlds again?

Not for this fic. Was included as a thank you for all the support, but I'm going to hold off on doing that until after I get this fic done. Probably going to be burned out a bit with react fics after this is done.

SD-V snarls at her, "Not, a, word."

"Are you still blind because I can see the big red x right there-" a kitchen knife struck into the seat, right besides Uzi's neck.

"Oops, I missed." SD-V brings up another knife, but a V Plush hops up and snatches it away, "Wha- hey!"

"Veee!" it makes an irritated noise, "Veee! Ve! Ve! Ve!"

SD-OC whispers over towards an N plush, "Make sure they don't bring back any utensils from the kitchen next time."

"Nu!" the N Plush nods, determined to not make the same mistake twice.

Uzi nearly lunged at V for that, something she would have probably regretted as the disassembly drones still have their tails, and worker drones are not as strength oriented as disassembly drones. It took all the fluff and adorableness, and combined Uzi plushies to hold Uzi back from making a mistake. A V Plush was attempting to lecture the drone it was based off of on why it's not a good idea to do such a thing to Uzi, SD-V ignores it entirely.

Doll, for a moment looked upon that with a blank expression, before she could throw the knife a new plush modeled after her snatched it, "Что?"

"Da. Da daaa daa!" it declared with the knife in it's grasp.

SD-OC cringed at it's way of speech, "Okay let me fix that." snapping his fingers.

The doll plush spoke anew, "Nyet, nyet nyet nyet! Nyeeeeet!" waving the knife around to emphasize it's point.

Doll has never felt so insulted in her life.
