(Erica POV)

We rushed through the tunnel. I clutched onto Fenrir's hair, making sure I wouldn't go flying off. We had found a secret tunnel in the cellar and were now quickly running through.

I was riding Fenrir, using him as a mode of transport. And Fenrir was crazy fast. If I wasn't clutching onto his fur for dear life I would have fallen off a long time ago.

The tunnel was quite long, not surprising since it led almost all the way to the airport. But I didn't see them no matter how far we got through the tunnel.

They must have already reached their base. Well, that was part of the plan. Let's hope that Father was able to stop Darien.

Fenrir took a sharp corner as I clutched into his fur. He continued to dash, his feet pounding against the floor. Up ahead, I saw the tunnel ended.

We reached the end, where a ladder led up to a trapdoor above. I got off of Fenrir, allowing him to shrink and jump back onto my shoulder.

I clutched the rungs of the ladder, climbing upwards. As I got closer to the trapdoor the sounds of fighting penetrated my ears.

I thrust open the trapdoor, moving the rug out of the way and clambered to my feet. I was in the living room of a house.

"Erica?!" Someone whisper-yelled. I looked over, seeing Darin's mother Jill. She was hiding in some sort of closet, peeking out.

She gestured for me to come in. I quickly entered the closet. Jill turned to me, looking scared. "What's going on?!" She whispered. "Your father and a bunch of his servants appeared and started fighting Darien!"

"We discovered something horrible." I stated. "Your husband has allowed children Arcana's to forcibly be awoken early."

"That's horrible..." She muttered.

"I know." I replied. "That's why I need to go help Aaron."

"You can't do that." She stated.

"What?" I asked, only to turn around and get a knife stabbed into my chest. I gasped, staring at Jill.

"I'm sorry Erica." She whispered. "I'm sorry it had to be this way. I never wanted to hurt you, but I'm sticking with my husband to the end."

I coughed out some blood, kicking Jill away. I felt myself chuckle as I pulled the knife out, letting it drop to the ground.

I stood up with my shaking legs, feeling the wound in my chest already starting to heal because of Avalon. Thank goodness Ken had given it back to me.

"What?" Jill asked, looking at me scared.

"Don't underestimate an Arthurson. We are the descendants of Arthur Pendragon." I laughed. "Ken's suspicions were right. You did know."

"I did." Jill sadly replied. "But it was for the safety of our family! Our bloodline!"

"Too bad that it's become the end of your bloodline." I scoffed.

"What?" Jill gasped, looking at me, shaking with fear. "Erica...what did you do?"

"I did my job as heir, and killed the heir to the Du Lac's." I stated. "It's time to end this grudge. It's been going on for too long."

"You killed Da-?!" Jill angrily yelled at me.

She never finished her final words, Excalibur stabbing straight through her chest. She gasped, looking at me with angry, wide eyes before they went dead as her body slumped.

I always wondered why Ken was always so wary and slow to trust people. Now I understand. I was...betrayed. Who knows how many times Ken has been.

I won't ever betray you Ken. Which is why I'm going to end Darien Du Lac with my own two hands. You trusted me with this mission, and I will not disappoint you.

I exited the closet, leaving behind Jill Du Lac's dead body. It didn't take long to find my father and Darien as my father came crashing through the wall.

He rolled on the ground, quickly getting back onto his feet. He had golden knightly armor around him, a magical construct granted by his Arcana. He gripped his shining silver sword. His C Rank Arcana, William.

Darien walked through the hole he made in the wall, dragging his B Rank Arcana King John against the floor. His dark knight armor maliciously shined.

My father is outmatched. Darien had trained himself almost to his peak, having almost reached the power of an S Rank Adventurer. My father was not as strong, only having the power of a B Rank Adventurer.

And judging by the fact that no one else seems to be here, that must mean that Darien has already killed the troops which father had brought with him.

"Looks like I won't need my reinforcements to take care of you." Darien scoffed, looking down at father. "I hope they arrive soon though. They are quite late."

"I wouldn't expect to see them soon." Father laughed, readying his sword.

Well, that part of our plan is working. Good.

Father noticed me in the corner of his eye. "Erica?!" He gasped. "What are you doing here?! Go!"

Darien glanced at me, before his eyes widened as he looked past me into the closet. I had forgotten to close the door.

"Jill...?" He gasped. "What did you do?"

"She stabbed me, so I stabbed her back." I replied.

"You...you killed her...?!" He growled.

Father took this moment to tackle Darien back through the hole in the wall, crashing to the floor as they tussled.

"Erica! Get out of here!" Father yelled at me.

Darien kicked Father off of him, looking at me with raging eyes. "You killed her!" He screamed at me, running with an overhead swing.

I brought Excalibur up, having to use both hands to block the sword. My body strained under the pressure as Darien pushed down harder on me.

Father kicked him out of the way, relieving me off the pressure. Darien swung at Father, the two of them engaging in a clash of blows. Darien overpowered Father, allowing him to kick Father into a wall.

He crashed through the wall, falling down on the other side and filling the air with dust. Darien turned back to me, his sword igniting on fire as he growled.

He swung his sword at me, a large wave of fire blasting towards me. I dodged it, rolling out of the way. The wall behind me started to catch on fire. Soon that whole side of the room was burning.

Water swirled around Excalibur. I swung it, releasing a pressured blast of water at him. He blocked it with the sword, but was pushed back.

"Is that it?" He replied. "Worthless. Put up a good fight, or killing you to avenge my wife won't be satisfactory."

"Stop right there!" Father yelled, back on his feet and swinging at Darien. "Do not touch my daughter!"

Darien blocked his sword, slapping it away before swinging towards Father. He sent a swing to decapitate Father, but missed as Father ducked under.

I took this opportunity to send another blast of pressured water into his back. He wasn't ready this time, the water forcing him off of his feet. He tumbled onto the ground.

"Erica." Father stated. "This fight is dangerous. Please, go."

"I can't." I replied. "If I go, you'll die. I'll fail Ken."

"I'd rather die than both of us." He replied.

"Trust me." I stated. "I can stop him. I promise."

He looked at me, before sighing in defeat. "Fine. I'll trust you. That is...what a father should do."

I looked at him slightly surprised. Why did he say that..?

Darien got back to his feet, looking at us with even more rage than before. "Are you kidding me?!" He growled.

Fire started to engulf his sword even more than before, making it look like it was completely created by fire from the outside.

He rushed us. I blocked his first strike, Father wrapping around and trying to slice him from behind. He quickly blocked that strike as I sent a stab.

He dodged my stab, kicking Father in the gut and making him keel over. He looked over to me, sending a slash which I blocked.

He continued to swing at me. With each swing it got a little harder to block, until his next swing I knew I had to dodge. But before I could move, Father shoved me out of the way.

"AHHHHH!!!" He screamed as the fiery sword sliced against his face.

I stared in horror as Father stumbled backwards, a horrific looking wound going from his chin to his forehead, straight through his right eye.

Father...what? Why?

He glanced at me, giving me a broken smile. "I'm sorry..." He whispered. "I was a terrible father."

"You took away my wife!" Darien growled. "So I'll take away your father!"

Darien swung, the sword on course for Father's head. No. It couldn't. I refuse. My Father is not going to drop that bombshell on me and then sacrifice himself! Ken already tried that, and I'm sick of people close to me trying to sacrifice themselves!

I released a Holy Strike at Darien, the quickest one I yet. He blocked it with his sword, stopping his attack on Father. With a risk I desummoned Excalibur.

I took this moment to use Enhancement on my legs and arms, allowing myself to pick up Father with ease and dash out of the currently burning building. Behind me I heard a scream of rage.

I placed down my Father against the ground, checking his wound. His breath was labored as he stared at me. Despite that, he would live. But with an extremely nasty scar.

"Why?" I asked him. "Why did you say that?"

"I'm sorry." He whispered. "I...I've been a terrible father to you. I never really noticed until Julia confronted me. I thought I was in the right."

"But I've realized...I messed up. And even though I've barely said it...I love you. I really do, my daughter." He stated.

Damn it.

I pulled out Avalon, placing him onto Father. It rested on his chest, already starting to heal his face. This was risky...but I will fight him without Avalon.

You two are so selfish. But you are my parents, and it is because of you two I was able to meet Ken. After you said that, I can't let you live with that scar.

I stood back up, running back into the burning building. I was quickly confronted by a furious Darien.

I resummoned Excalibur, gripping him tightly. I got into my sword stance, facing the Du Lac.

"This is your end." He growled, gripping his sword. "It's time to end the Pendragon bloodline."

"I could say the same thing to you." I replied.

He growled, dashing towards me. On his face was a furious scowl. His sword was raised overhead as he prepared to swing down and end my life.

I used Enhancement at a level I hadn't before. Not only did I use it on myself as a whole, but I used it on Excalibur as well. It was tough, but I was levels above when I had tried this last.

I easily blocked his sword, even able to push him back with the enhanced strength. I sent a slash towards his face which he barely blocked, stumbling back.

"What is this?!" He growled.

His sword raged with fire. He slammed the ground, a burst of fire exploding from under. I dodged as the fire burned where I once was.

The building was burning, smoke filling the air. It was collapsing, pieces of the fueling falling to the floor. If we didn't end this soon, we would both die.

"I see." Arthur suddenly said in my mind. "This has gone on for far too long."

What's going on?

I quickly blocked his strike, using a holy strike to blast him backwards. I tried to use my water, but it quickly evaporated due to the growing heat around us.

"I'm sorry, old friend." Arthur sighed. "I'm sorry that things ended the way that they did."

"So am I." A new voice said, shocking me. It almost threw me off my game, but I quickly recovered in time to dodge Darien's stab.

"I made a mistake." The new voice stated. "I completely betrayed you, and that became the catalyst for Camelot's fall."

"It's fall was inevitable." Arthur replied. "Every kingdom has a beginning and an end. It was going to happen with the Great Mythological War about to happen."

"I wish we could have been on the same side when that happened." The new voice sighed. "I wish I could have fought by your side, instead of being your death."

I tried to tune the voices out, not understanding what was going on. I didn't have the time to listen to them, not while Darien was trying to take my head off.

The smoke was getting thicker. Sweat was heading down my face. At this rate, I would have to flee. I refuse to die.

"I know." Arthur stated. "We've both made mistakes in our time. We've held onto the past for too long. Lancelot, I forgive you."

"Hah." Lancelot chuckled. "You...you've always been the most forgiving and kindest person. I don't deserve it. I thank you, my King."

I felt something inside of me. Something calling me, from deep within.

"Grab it." Lancelot stated. "Channel my power, the next Pendragon."

I gripped it. In my free hand reality started to warp as I summoned it into my fingertips. Darien stopped, looking at it in shock.

It looked similar to Darin's Lancelot Arcana, but not quite. It seems to be a mix between his Arcana and mine, Excalibur. It was a regal-looking medieval sword, silver and purple.

"Secace." Lancelot whispered. "My trusty sword. Wield it well, young one."

I gripped it in my left hand with Excalibur in his right hand. Darien glared at me, angrier than ever.

"You do not get to wield that blade!" He screamed, dashing towards me.

I took a deep breath, preparing myself. I placed both of the blades in front of me, blocking Darien's attack.

I pushed his attack backwards, making him stumble. I took this opportunity to slash at him. He blocked Excalibur, but I then swung Secace.

Secace passed his guard, slicing into his chest. Darien roared in pain and rage, growling at me. "I refuse to lose to a single kid! I have trained for years! I cannot lose!"

"Funny, your son said the same thing." I replied. "Like father, like son; You'll both die."

He swung his blade towards me. I blocked it with Secace, cutting his leg with Excalibur. He continued to swing at me with quicker speeds, making me block the attacks with both weapons.

"This is your end!" He growled, swinging down on me.

I ducked under, sent sending Holy Strike from Excalibur. It hit him into the gut, slamming him backwards. Before he could get up I stabbed Secace straight through his skull.

His eyes died down as the armor around him disappeared. His sword dissipated, leaving him dead and alone.

I left him there, for the burning building to collapse upon him. I walked back outside, coughing smoke out of my lungs.

Arthur, we are having a talk later on how and why Lancelot is now in my head.
