You wake up to a sharp pain in your chest. You roll over to release the bile from your stomach, and lay on your front to catch your breath. Your panting, and you have a throbbing headache. You groan as you sit up in a large metal box. You search around frantically, wondering where you are, when you see a small body in the corner.

You crawl past the boxes to the body, and kneel down right next to it as the box continues to move up like an elevator. When you get over to it, you realize in the dim lighting that it's a young girl. Maybe eight or nine. You recognize her as your little sister.

"Julie," you ask in a panicked tone. You move the hair out of her face messily, trying to get her to wake up. "Julie!"

Her eyes flutter open, looking like she might pass out anytime soon. "(Y/n)," she asks in a tired and raspy tone.

"Oh Julie," you cry in relief, wrapping your arms around her. She groans, and you gently lean her back up against the wall. "Do you know what happened," you ask her in a strict tone, hoping for something. You just now realize you remember nothing except your name and your sisters name.

She doesn't answer you cause she's out cold. Your crying as you gently pick her up, and crawl over to the corner of the large metal contraption. You set her in the corner, and your right up next to her, using your body as a shield against whatever might be outside the box.

You hug her body, and squeeze her in the corner as the box moves up. "Please wake up, Please wake up, Please wake up," you repeat, hoping you little sister would be ok. Suddenly the box shoots up, and the momentum throws you forward. You slam into another box, smacking your head on the corner, worsening your headache, and you feel a small dribble of blood go down your face.

You groan as you roll over onto your back, facing the top of the box. As you look past it though, you see a ceiling coming down to meet you at an alarming rate. That's when yo realized you were going to crash. You jumped back up, wrapping your sister in a death hug again, mumbling 'I'm sorry's and "It's ok's. Just as the box is about to crash into the ceiling, it comes to a sudden halt.

You sit there panting, and gripping onto your sister for dear life, when your blinded by light. You keep your body pressed up against her, but raise an arm to shield you from the light. You hear voices mumbling things, but you can't make out what their saying.

When your eyes are adjusted to the light, you put your arm back around Julie, and look up. There are a bunch of boys standing around you. Forty at the least. You shook in fright, hiding your face in Julie's shoulder, praying that this was just a bad dream.

You feel the box jolt, and your head shoots up to see a boy with the freakiest eyebrows ever in the box with you. You scoot even closer in the corner, hoping you don't accidentally hurt her by how squished she is, and look at the boy as he walks over to you.

Without warning, he grabs your arm and jerks you away from your sister. "No! Julie," you scream. The boy picks you up easily and throws you out of the box, a hoard of boys crowding around you. You scramble backwards using your hands and scooting your butt along the ground as the boys circle you. You accidentally back up right into someone's legs, and you look up quickly to see it's a tall Asian boy with black hair. You try to get around him, but he bends down, and grabs your arms, pulling you to your feet.

A tall dark skinned boy walks up to you, and he looks to be the oldest of all the boys you've seen so far. He looks at your scared shaking body for a second before telling the Asian boy, "Put her in the pit."

The boy starts dragging you away from the box, and your screaming and thrashing. "Let me go!" Two more boys come over to help drag you away. You see another boy jump down into the box, tall, with shaggy blond hair. You keep thrashing, as you see the boy jump back out with Julie in his arms.

"No Julie," you scream again, getting tired from fighting against the boys. The boy who's carrying her away from you looks back at you with a sad expression, but he takes her to what looks like a hand built shelter. Your to tired to keep screaming, or fighting, so the boys just drag you to wherever their trying to without you struggling anymore.

They take you to this prison like structure, and open one of the doors. They toss you inside, and you just lay on the ground, trying to get them away from you. When they lock the door, they walk away, leaving you alone in the 'cell'.

You crawl to the corner, and curl into a ball, still shaking. What were they going to do to you? What were they going to do to Julie? Where in gods name were you? All of these questions ran through your head, more questions forming by the second.

Eventually your able to stand up, and walk over to the door. You look around through the bars out into wherever you were. It looked like you were in a giant field, surrounded by walls. You saw boys working in fields, and others running from building to building.

You don't see any focused on you at the moment, so you look at the 'lock' to see if you can undo it. You realize it's just a thick leather cord tied tightly. You stick your arms through the gaps in the poles and start untying it. Your about halfway done, when a body walks in front of the door, and you leap backwards, not knowing what the boys will do to you if they see you trying to escape.

Your panting from the rush of Adrenalin as the boy crouches down in front of the door, using one hand on it to keep himself stable. You realize it's the same boy who had carried Julie off.

Gathering all of your courage, you stand up in the cell, and walk to the door so your faces are inches apart, only separated by the bars. "Where's my sister," you growl darkly, glaring at the boy.

"Hey calm down ok," he tells you calmly in a British accent. "She's fine. I just took her to the medjacks. She still hasn't woken up," he says.

"Who are you," you ask, still using a dark tone.

"Names Newt, greenie. I'm second-in-Command around here," he tells you in a casual tone, but he also sounds like he's trying to calm you down, noticing your clenched fists.

You didn't trust Newt, cause you still didn't know where the heck your sister was. You just stand there for a minute, glaring at him, when he speaks up again. "I can take you to her. Looks like you need to get cleaned up to," he says, nodding his head at you. You had completely forgotten about smacking your head on the box, and your hand immediately shoots up to wipe a little bit of blood away.

You look back up at the boy, wondering if he's really gonna take you to her. "Fine," you say, and he gives you a sharp nod. He finishes untying the leather cord, and opens the door. He crouched back down, and offers a hand down to you. You glance back up at him skeptically, hesitating, but you eventually take it, and he lifts you out of the cell with ease.

You drop his hand once your out of the cell, and look around the giant area of land your stuck in. "What is this place," you breath out, fear evident in your tone.

"This is the Glade greenie. We've been stuck here for a long time," he tells you. You do a full 360 turn to see the whole place, looking at all of the boys, and the buildings. "Come on. Your sisters with Clint and Jeff," Newt says, pointing towards a building on the edge of a forest.

You follow him towards the building, itching to make sure your sisters ok. When you get to the building, he opens the door, and gestures you inside. You look at him skeptically again before walking inside, him following you. He walks past you, and goes into a hallway with rooms on either side. He stops at the second one on the right, and leans on the door frame, looking at you down the hall. You walk up to him, and look into the room to see Julie laying on the cot, fast asleep.

You rush into the room and kneel down next to her cot. You grab her small hand in yours, and stroke her hair messily, wishing she would wake up. Your head zips up and down her small body, even though half of it's covered by a blanket, to make sure she's not hurt. There seems to be nothing wrong with her except the fact that she wouldn't wake up.

You hear someone walk into the room, and you turn your head quickly, seeing two more boys walk in. They walk over to the opposite side of the bed, and look at you.

"So you must be (Y/n)," one of them says, gripping his satchel in one hand.

"Ya," you say cautiously, almost sounding like a question. "How did you know that," you ask, wary of the boys in front of you.

"She's been mumblin your name," the other boy says. You look back down at Julie, stroking her hair.

After a minute of silence, one of the boys speaks up again. "Look we don't know when she's gonna wake up, but we're gonna try to make it as soon as possible," he tells you. You keep your head towards the little girl. The boys look at you for a minute before turning, and walking towards the door, where Newt still is.

"She is gonna wake up, right?" You ask just before they walk out, putting emphasis on the words. You hear them turn around, but your back is towards them.

One of them sighs. "That's what were hoping for." You subconsciously grip her hand tighter. You take a deep breath as you hear the two boys walk out. You assume Newts still at the door.

Your assumption is confirmed when he speaks up. "Want me to help you with that," he asks. You turn your head towards him, and he nods at you, gesturing to the bloody scratch on your head.

"Uh sure," you say. He walks out of the room, you staying put right next to her bed. He walks back in, wet rag in hand, and has you come over to two stools in the room. He has you sit down on one, and he sits down on the other. He raises the wet rag to your forehead, dabbing it on the bleeding cut. You suck in a quick breath of air from the stinging sensation.

"Sorry," he mumbles, being a little more gentle. You clench and unclench your fist while he's cleaning your forehead up. Must be a habit, you think to yourself. He finishes cleaning up the small wound, and tells you he's done.

You both stand up, you piling the stool with you next to Julie's bed, and sitting down on it, deciding to wait for her.

"I'll go ahead and leave you alone. If you need me, Clint and Jeff can come get me," he tells you, walking to the door.

Just as he's about to turn the corner, you speak up. "Hey Newt," you ask, turning your head to the door. He looks back at you, looking at you expectantly. You hadn't really planned on what you were gonna say, but you knew you had to say something. "Um th-Thanks," you mumble nervously.

He smiles at you. "No problem, love," he says, before walking out the door. You stare at where he had been seconds ago for who knows how long before you turn back to Julie. Maybe you judged them to quickly. You give her hand a tight squeeze, hoping she will wake up soon. You sit with her for about five hours, staying in the exact same position the whole time.

You must have fallen asleep sometime, cause you wake up, lifting your head off the side of the cot. You feel a blanket draped around your shoulders, and there's a plate of food on a small table near you. You get up and walk over to it, finding a slip of paper next to it.

'For when you wake up

Newt'

The little note makes you smile. Maybe the Glade wouldn't be so bad. You sigh, grabbing the plate of food, and walking back over to the stool, sitting down. You take a bite of mashed potatoes, looking at your sister, just waiting for her to wake up.

Just as you think this, you feel her fingers twitch in your hand. You look up at her face, and see her eyes flutter open. "(Y/n)," she asks tiredly. You gasp as you shove your food to the side, and engulf her in a bear hug.

"Oh my god Julie. Don't you ever do that again," you breathe, kissing her forehead.

She seems to ignore you as she asks the dumbest question ever. "Do you like the tall boy with the weird voice," she asks, making your eyes go wide.

"Pfft. Ummm..."
