~Roman POV~

I woke up in a bed. I remembered falling asleep in a chair. I started to look around and realize that Virgil is next to me. He was watching TV.

"Oh good morning to you sleeping beauty," He said smiling.

"Morning Emo Nightmare but how did I end up in the bed with you?" I asked yawning.

"The nurse came in to check my vitals. You was still in the chair when I fell back to sleep but I woke up again with you crawling in the bed. I guess you must sleep walk," He said. I looked stunned at his respond. My parent would always tell I do but I didn't believed them.

"I guess they were right," I said with out thinking.

"Who was right?" he asked looking at me waiting for my answer.

"My parents," I said looking at the TV for a moment when some rushed through the door.

"Virgil are you alright?" Mrs. Silver asked. I looked behind her and notice there was a man behind her.

"Who's he?" I asked staring at him.

"Oh...umm.. he is  Virgil's father, Roman," She said kind of timid. Virgil's eyes narrowed. He grabbed my hand. I turn my head to see what is going on. Virgil looked angry and scared at the same time. I tighten the grip to tell him, "I'm not going anywhere,"

"Virgil, I'm sorry for not beginning  here for you. But you have to understand why?"He said smoothly.

"I don't care. Just leave," he said looking out the window. I know that Virgil and his father relationship isn't the greatest.

"Son, I want to get to know you," he said looking at him with pleading eyes. I shook my head.

"Roman, can you help me with something?" His mother asked. I looked back at Virgil and nodded. Virgil rolled his eyes and letting out a big sigh.

"We got to let him talk it out," She said as we headed out the room.

"I agree but I feel like I betrayed him by leaving," I said putting my hand over my heart. She nodded.

" I feel the same when I brought his father a long with me," 

"But why was he with you?" I asked walking down the corridor. 

"After you two left the house. He showed up wanting to know where Virgil was. Then I got your call about one hour after wards saying that you and Virgil was in hospital. He stayed with me," she said with a long sigh at the end.

"Oh so you are still married to him?" I stated. She nodded.

"He reminds me of Virgil so much. The I don't like you attitude," She smiled. I could tell that she loves this man but why does Virgil hate him.

"So, why do Virgil don't like him?" I asked looking at her.

"Well, that I do not know," She said putting her hand over her chin trying to think. We got back to the room with Virgil staring out the window and his father sitting on the chair hanging his head.

"What happened?" I said looking at Virgil then to his father.

"Nothing," Virgil said  crossing his arms.

"Nothing, your kidding. You are staring out the window with your father looking upset and you said its nothing," I said really fast. Virgil snapped his head towards me and looked at me then to his father. He let out a sigh. 

"Roman seriously its fine," He said softly sending chills down my neck. His father looked at me and then to Virgil.

"How do you know my son?" He asked in a deep, rough voice.

"Well he met him at school and um...,"

"Roman is my soulmate," He said coldly. I looked at him. I look down at my arm and notice the mark is glowing a dull purple color. That ain't good.

"Roman, are you okay?" I heard Virgil asked. I nodded. I felt someone hand on my arm. I looked up and notice it was Virgil. 

"Ro, your mark is glowing a dull purple why?" He asked. I shrugged.

"Wait a dull purple?" His father question. We both nodded.

"Doubt," He said.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"Well, I study soulmate and their marks. I knew my son got a soulmate. So, I study everywhere I could to try to understand them," He said.

"So you travel a lot to understand people with soul marks. Is this why you hate him, Virgil?" I said looking at him. He nodded. I rolled my eyes. I can tell that he's upset.

"So, you do care for him?" He asked looking at Virgil then back to me. I nodded. I could see that Virgil is less tense now. 

~Virgil POV~

I can tell that Roman is trying to get me to talk but I don't want to. Not while he's here. My so called father, got up and left the room. I looked toward Roman. He seems a little upset.

"Love I know you don't like him but could you at least give him a chance?" He pleaded. I took a deep breath. 

"Sorry Romano, I can't do that. He left my mom without saying a word," I said looking down. 

"Why would he do that though?" He asked me. 

I shrugged, "I don't have a clue." 

"Well we are together and maybe he can helps us and the others as well?" He said nervously. I nodded as the man came back in.

"So, can you tell us exactly what's going on?" I demand. He nodded. In a few minutes he told everything he knows about soulmate and their marks.

"But only a few hundred people have them," He concluded.

"And what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?" I said snarky. His eyes widen at the respond.

"Well, I told the history or maybe the legend of the soul mark but know one knows the truth beside the people born with them," He said getting agitated. I rolled my eyes again.

"Mr. Virgil Silver can leave now," said the smiling nurse. I nodded and went to grabbed my clothes. Everyone left expect Roman. 

"Roman let me get change, before you do something stupid," I said putting on my dark purple shirt. I finish changing, when I felt my feet getting swept off the ground. I looked at Roman, who has me in his arms.

"Roman put me down. I can walk just fine," I said in a low growl. He nodded and put me down. He looked disappoint but continue to stay quiet.

"What is the matter?" I asked stopping for a moment. Roman immediately ran towards me. He pulled me closer.

"I'm sorry love. I'm sorry for everything that I've should have done," He said with his arms wrapped around me tightly.

"I'm fine, Princey and for the love of god stop apologizing," I demand pulling away  from him and started to walk to the car.
