An uncomfortable silence plagued the vampire clan. The witness of their team member being torn apart took a toll on their mental state. They tried to keep themselves together to their best extend, but it was undeniable how brutal the scene had been.
As they left the Healbloom Field, their skin turned back white, their fangs grew and they felt much lighter on their feet; they were vampires once again.
πŸ’ (I have to put my plan into action soon. I'm sick of that fucking crocodile)
🦊 (This can't happen again. Who knows who'll die next time. It could be me)
🐸 "What are we gonna do now?"
Teresa looked at him with visible frustration in her face.
πŸ’ "What does it look like we're doing? Is your head on the clouds? We have that disgusting cloth, we need more people now that we lost him"
They arrived at the vampire woods in silence, and stepped down the industrial area. The zombie workers were absent, but the eye-sentinels were still vigilant.
πŸ’ "Any vampires still here?" she shouted.
πŸ… "Just me" a voice was heard from afar.
πŸ’ "Better than nothing I guess" she said to herself out loud.
As they passed the mechanical gears once pushed by the zombies, the group started wondering what happened there.
πŸ’ "You better tell me what happened here"

πŸ… "The Black Crocodile said he had enough power and didn't need the zombies anymore, so he scared them away with the eye-invadeds. Hey wait, who's this guy?" - she said pointing to Andrew - "... And where's Dylan?"
The three of them looked at each other. Fresh memories of his death crossed their minds. Right as Andrew was going to explain, Teresa started talking.
πŸ’ "We were tracking down the human, but that little bitch soaked us in honey and attracted a bear. It's his fault the bear got to us. And ... killed ... Dylan"
The vampire was trying to process what she heard.
πŸ… "... He ... He WHAT!!!"

Teresa saw this as a perfect opportunity and soon used it.
πŸ’ "It was very devastating, and it's all that human's fault, but for your comfort, we're gonna track him down and avenge him. You're free to join us if you want"
The vampire was driven by her sudden mourning and anger, and agreed without a second thought.
They set on their journey back to Matilda.
🦊 "What does The Black Crocodile want with that energy he got from the zombies?"
πŸ… "Who knows. He doesn't show any emotions or reason. It's like he's just some sort of hollow entity. But a really powerful one"
🦊 "Was he always like this?"
🐸 "Don't you know his story? He used to be a vampire, Dracula's brother in fact, but he started to toy around with magic. And the magic consumed him. Only certain weak kinds of magic are safe to use, but he went too far. After that, he tranformed into The Black Crocodile, and created the eye-invasors, and since he alredy had a high rank among the vampires, he killed his brother and took over us"
πŸ… "It must the be magic that's making him act that way, but I don't have any hopes for things to change. It has been like this for some time alredy"

They arrived at Matilda's hut soon after the night began, and entered her place.

πŸ§™ "Did you got it?"
πŸ’ "We could find this torn cloth, and that's it"
πŸ§™ "Great. Now who wants to drink the potion? Why not you, ragged wolf?"
🦊 "What do you have against me, witch?"
πŸ§™ "You did use to be a werewolf, might as well use you for tracking down someone's odor"
She handed him the potion. It was constantly changing color between green and yellow.
🦊 "What does the potion do again?"
πŸ§™ "It makes odors visible, super simple stuff. Well I haven't tested it yet, so it may have some other effects. Good thing we have you as a tester" she said with a smile on her face.
🦊 (I will make her pay if this shit does have negative side effects)
He began drinking the potion. Soon, a bunch of trails of different colors became visible to him. It was overwhelming. He took the piece of cloth and gave it a deep sniff. All but one trail dissappeared. It was Kael's scent.
πŸ’ "We'll be back with your cows once we get that human"
πŸ§™ "You better. I'm all out of milk alredy. How am I supposed to cook now?" she said in a dramatic voice.
They left Matilda's house and started to go towards the scent, which initially brought them to the bloodflower tree.

Andrew noticed the trail led to the cave beneath the tree, Kael's new base, but decided to not reveal it, as he was still decisive on getting his help to turn back into a werewolf. They ran towards the Music Plains next, where they witnessed the aftermath of the panicked evacuation. Their minds were unsettled. To them, it seemed like wherever Kael goes, chaos follows. By the time they reached the Titanic Hollow, it was almost midnight. They heard a horde of zombies approaching and climbed some trees to avoid them. They seemed to be the once enslaved Black Crocodile zombies. One of them fell behind. His flesh was nearly gone already. It was transforming into a Skeleton. As it got up, its zombie instincts didn't kick in, and simply walked away, now a simple, mindless, weak skeleton. Easy prey for any hungry animals nearby.
🐸 "I had never seen a zombie fully decomposing! That was interesting to behold"
At last, they reached the Flame Canyon after midnight. Kael's group was there.
