🍒 "There you are, took you long enough. Wait, where did you got that jar from?"
Andrew thought on how to structure the lie; for as much as he disliked a human for beating him in a fight, he was focused on taking the vampire clan down.
🦊 "Wished for it, I managed to get my hands on an active wishflower"
🍒 "Well that seems like a waste of a wish. Come, you'll need training to be of any use to our clan"
As they began the traverse from the Wishing Path to the Vampire Woods, Andrew couldn't help but feel uncomfortable, as he'd never been that deep through the Vampire Woods, vampires are really aggressive in their territory after all, and he felt very weak considering he no longer had his former werewolf strength or height. He decided to go along and learn about the vampires more, maybe some weak points or even more experiments that they had conducted like the blood cherry inventions.
It was very different from what he was expecting. As they began entering the woods, a giant hole in the ground could be seen at the heart of the Vampire Woods, and as they got closer and closer, he could see that it let to an underground industrialized section, with a lot of metal parts everywhere. Something of that scale could only be built with magic, which meant one thing was for sure: the Black Crocodile was nearby.
Countless zombie workers were everywhere, all manipulated to not attack vampires, slaving away their death.
He also saw something that immediately gave him goosebumps: a dozen eye-invadeds were staying vigilant, entirely still, making sure the zombies were doing their job.
🦊 "H-Hey why are we heading towards that h-hole? Can't we go to like your clan's base or s-something?"
🍒 "This is my base. The Black Crocodile has sentinels keeping us in line and won't let us go away. I suggest you do everything I say or I'll offer you as his next eye-sentinel"
🦊 "Oh well want me to go pick up more bloodflowers? This doesn't seem like enough you know? Yeah we should head back"
🍒 "Silence. I give orders and you follow"
They began going down the stairs of the giant hole, as Andrew saw how the zombies were powering some mechanism that seemed to be related to magical energy. Being magic, it fret him, as magic is extremely unpredictable, which led to it being badly regarded. For as much as he tried to negotiate, he started realizing how the best course of action was to follow her lead.
Meanwhile, back at the bloodflower tree.
🗣️ "We should check out for where the goblins went. It still seems like a big overreaction for a single eye-invaded"
