As Beef regained consciousness, he heard his friends voices echo all around him. He could barely tell what they were saying, and the butcher wasn't even sure if they were speaking about him or not. Suddenly, he felt a hand grasp his shoulder, shaking him roughly as a echoed voice screamed at him. Beef tried to open his eyes, but the light that blared above him was too bright for his weak optics to deal with. Beef then mustered up enough strength to open his eyes, squinting as a groan exited his mouth. Then, he could hear clearly. Beef groaned, sitting up as he placed a hand on his head.

"What... what happened?" The butcher asked. A chuckle came from his left.

"You passed out from blood loss. Thought we lost you." Beef recognized the voice as Guude. Beef's vision straightened, shaking his head as he blinked a couple of times.

"Did I? God, I didn't realize the wound was that bad." The butcher admitted. Etho smiled.

"You're lucky I can heal wounds like that. Well, not exactly heal, but... you know what I mean." The ninja chuckled. Beef looked to Guude.

"You have a lot of explaining to do." The butcher told him, getting a chuckle from the others. Anders smiled, holstering his hammer in it's holster as he waved at Guude.

"I'll wait for you outside. No need to rush though Commander. Take your time." The Swede announced, walking through the front door and taking in the rising sun's warmth. Wiping the sweat from his brow, Anders chuckled, shaking his head as he sat on a nearby tree stump before placing his holstered weapon on the floor beside him. The Swede sighed, grabbing a circular device from one of his pockets as he brought it out in front of him. The disk reflected the sun's rays, creating an image before him above the disk. Himself and someone else. The person had brown hair, brown soul patch, a flat top hat, a leather jacket, blue jeans, and black sneakers. Anders seemed different in the photo as well. He had glasses, and his beard wasn't as bushy as it was now. He also wore a shirt with a potato on a stick on the front. Anders gave off a sad smile, shaking his head as he placed it on the ground in front of him.

"Don't worry Steffen... we'll meet again..." Anders sighed as he stared at the photo. A sudden sound of a branch breaking snapped him out of his daze, making him swiftly look to where he thought the sound came from. Nervous, Anders went to reach for his hammer.

"Hello? Who's there?" The Swede asked, waiting for an answer that he never got. Anders growled, grabbing his hammer and unfolding it to its battle shape. He held it then with two hands, having his body placed in a fighting position as he squinted into the dark forest.

"I said, WHO'S THERE?!" He shouted again, but once more got no answer. His heart rate slowed down, allowing him to relax as he let the hammer rest on the ground.

"Probably just an animal... buggers have accidents now a days all the time... Attans..." Anders chuckled, sitting back on the stump where he previously was as he continued to stare at the photo. Someone dropped down from the trees onto the rooftop above silently, then dropping down behind the Swede without him hearing or noticing. The person then put his arm out in front of him, watching as the robotic arm transformed into a pulse cannon that was shimmering blue from it's power core on the side. The man pointed it at Anders, who instantly felt the machinery brush against the back of his head. The Swede chuckled, bowing his head as he slightly turned it to the side.

"I didn't think someone like me would deserve an assassination." Anders commented as he started to turn around. However, he knew he had to stop when the person placed the cannon even closer to his head, to the point where the end was putting enough pressure that it tilted his head forwards. Anders put his hands up.

"Alright, I get it. What do you want?" The Swede asked calmly, afraid to push the assassin any more than he already has. The person chuckled.

"Don't you remember what you did to me?" He asked, his voice all robotic like and staticy. Anders' eyes widened.

"Wait a minute, I recognize that voice..." The Swede said, getting up and turning around. The thing that was pointing the cannon at him was not human, but half creeper and half android. It had one red robotic eye and one brown creeper one. The thing had a lab coat on with it's robotic arm being the cannon. It had brown hair that was partially spiked upwards. The Swede's eyes widened as his knees suddenly became shaky.

"Steffen?" Anders asked, barely able to say the name he hasn't said to the man's face in years. Anders looked over his once good friend, only being able to recognize the robotic voice that cracked every once in a while.

"What... what happened to you?" The Swede asked, his voice sad and upset. The creeper android laughed, cracking halfway through.

"You know what... you happened Anders." He said. Anders took a step forwards, reaching a hand out but stopping when Steffen tensed up.

"I didn't mean to hurt you Stef-"

"That's NOT my name anymore!" He shouted, making Anders stop in his tracks. The creeper looked down at his pulse cannon before glancing back up at the Swede.

"I changed by name from Steffen to Doc, hoping that I would forget everything about my past and what you did to me... like you did Ander Erikson. Or do you go by Anders Zelulous now?" Doc asked, sounding like he was taunting him. Anders felt his heart start to race.

"D-Doc... Please, what happened wasn't my fault! I barely got out of there after I tried to go back for you!" The Swede said. Doc laughed.

"Of course... it's always about you, isn't it? If you hadn't made the decision to go through the tunnels separate from the others, I might've still been... human..." The android said, his voice going soft near the end of the sentence. Anders felt his heart sink as he watched his best friend lower his head.

"Steffen, when we entered those caves it was because I saw something concerning the deviant we were after. I asked you to trust me, and you did. When I heard the caves start to collapse, I brought attention to it, yet we agreed to go deeper." The viking said.

"And yet you stood there and watched as a piece of the cave fell on me. You WATCHED Anders. You could have done something. You could have saved me... remember the bond we had? We die together or we live together, for that is our DnA truth." Doc said, Anders nodding and looking down.

"I know our motto Steffen... I was the one who came up with it. Please, don't do this. Lower the pulse rifle, and we can talk." The viking compromised, but that only seemed to tick the android off even more. The once almost lowered cannon was then quickly raised back at Anders, who instantly put his hands up in defense.

"You BETRAYED me Anders! He brought me back from the dead, and I owe him something that I cannot turn down... Especially not now." Doc informed. Anders looked confused.

"Who brought you back?" The Swede asked. At first, Doc was silent. Then, he stared Anders down, exhaling as a sad smile appeared on the one half of his face.

"You don't have a lot of time left Anders, you and your friends. Sacrifices can cause tragedies." Doc said, moving one foot forwards as the pulse cannon fired. The Swede didn't have enough time to react, Anders getting blasted in the chest as he skidded across the ground. He rolled to a stop, grabbing his chest as he looked at Doc. The android walked over to Anders, placing a firm foot on his chest as he pinned the Swede to the ground. Anders grunted, gasping as he tried removing Doc's foot from the centre of his chest. Doc leaned closer, the cannon on his arm transforming into a light blue energy sword, the sword suddenly sparking live with electricity. Anders' eyes widened, looking at Doc with pleading eyes as he realized that he was weaponless, and he wasn't strong enough to push Doc off him.

"Steffen, think about what you're doing! We're friends, and we can be that again! Just let me go, and we can be allies again. Just like old times." Anders pleaded. Doc laughed at his plead.

"I'm sorry Anders... you left me no choice." The android said, raising his sword to strike down the Swede. Anders' heart rate kept increasing, watching as Doc started to bring the sword down. Anders closed his eyes, waiting for pain to hit him. He heard a whizzing sound as the feeling of Doc's foot on his chest left. The Swede opened his eyes, watching as Doc backed away as Guude and his other friends showed up. Anders exhaled shakenly, feeling the beating of his heart slow down to a normal pace. Avidya walked over to him, offering a hand to him as he gladly took it. Anders looked to Doc, who was removing one of Pause's arrows from his mechanical shoulder. He looked to the arrow, snapping it in half as he glared the Swede down.

"This isn't over Ander... not by a long shot!" The android growled as he ran into the forest. Generik went to chase after him when Anders grabbed him by the shoulder.

"No, don't bother. He's gone." The Swede said, holding his chest as his breathing started regularing. Guude walked up to Anders.

"You alright?" The leader asked. Anders exhaled.

"A little shaken, but yes." The Swede answered. Bdoubs chuckled.

"You, shaken? That's not possible." The pompadour haired man said. Anders shook his head.

"It's possible, and it happened..." He said. Pause looked to him.

"Who was that anyways? And why was he trying to kill you?" The native asked. Anders hesitated an answer before he turned to Pause.

"A ghost from my past coming back to haunt me for the mistakes I committed." He answered simply, grabbing his hammer and the circular hologram before walking off. Beef to looked to Guude concerned.

"Didn't you tell me he was the so called badass of the group? Why does he look so startled?" The butcher asked. Guude nodded.

"He is... which concerns me. Come on, let's get moving." The leader ordered, the group following where Anders left through the forest.
