A note: as a writer, and also an avid reader, I respect every and all opinion no matter how against it I am. Of course I may express my distaste or displeasure, but I would prefer not to delete threads, especially because I feel it's disrespectful to remove someone's thoughts or opinions because I don't like it. So please keep your conversations in moderation, thanks. That's all I ask. I don't mind them, but just don't go off the beaten track. Also, I ask that each and everyone of you respect each other's opinions too. It will make the comments section a much better place. I don't want people to feel like they'll be attacked if they voice their thoughts. I know it's not you guys, but just bear it in mind. Lately I've just been seeing so much hate in comments sections everywhere, not just in Wattpad (although I do see a lot in some of the stories I read), but on YouTube, etc. We are all human, and at the end of the day, we should all respect each other. I just don't want to see the Wattpad community turn into one like YouTube, where the content creators get hate comments or dislikes or whatever if they do stuff that some people don't like. It really saddens me to see all those comments on YouTube, and I really hope that Wattpad continues to stay as a positive, large community where people with a love of writing and/or reading bond together.

Temari stood and faced the lazy shadow user. Genma looked at the two.
"Begin!" Shikamaru immediately used his Rat hand seal and his shadow began to elongate, stretching and rushing forward to meet Temari. She smirked.
"Still the same old tricks!" She shouted and jumped backwards, continuing to move backwards until Shikamaru's shadow had been stretched to its thinnest. She drew a line in the ground with her fan and smirked.
"That's as far as you can stretch your shadow. I'm at an advantage here."

Up in the stands, Naruto nodded approvingly. Only to catch a glimpse of Lady Mito winking at him. Karin also elbowed him, much to his embarrassment.

The group of shinobi stood quietly, waiting for a good chance. The head of the group grit his teeth and waited. His one eye staring out into the dark tunnel. Slowly, but surely, footsteps could be heard.
"Kakuzu and Hidan." Danzo noted. The ROOT shinobi all stared in shock at their leader.
"Danzo." A third figure stepped out. It was Kisame Hoshigaki, right behind the 'zombie combo'.
"Danzo Sama!?" One of the ROOT ninja spoke out.
"Hopefully Jashin will be happy with these sacrifices, Hidan so don't go complaining about your religion." Kakuzu said as Hidan eyed the ROOT shinobi. Danzo turned. Taking off his elder robes, he revealed to the shocked ROOT members his own akatsuki cloak.
"Jashin will definitely be pleased!" Hidan shouted out in sadistic glee as he leapt into the group, slaughtering them left and right with no regard. Danzo, Kakuzu and Kisame simply watched.
"That's cold, Danzo..." Kisame said with a small grin. "Sacrificing your own men without even blinking an eye." Danzo turned an eye to his akatsuki partner.
"The same could be said for you." He replied. Kisame's smile grew wider, revealing more pointy teeth.
"Is it ready?" Kakuzu said impatiently.
"Yes. The exams are currently ongoing, and furthermore, I've manipulated the civilian council members into thinking that he needs to be killed. They have no idea what our real goal is." The three akatsuki stood by, watching as Hidan killed the last ROOT Ninja and offered up a prayer to Jashin.
"Let's go." Danzo said as he led the three akatsuki further into the ROOT compound.

Temari froze in horror when she realised she couldn't move.
"What!?" She almost shouted out as Shikamaru kindly let her turn her head around to see a shadow connecting from the wall behind her to her own.
"Since when!?" She asked. Shikamaru gave her a lazy grin.
"Didn't you find it odd that the shadow length decreased on my side of the wall as the sun continued to move? If anything it should be longer. I simply used the wall's shadow to lengthen my own one and forced it to attach to yours from behind so you wouldn't notice." Shikamaru walked forward and Temari had no choice but to do the same.
"Proctor. I forfeit." Shikamaru said, and everyone was immediately on their feet, shocked.
"What!?" Temari shouted again. She couldn't even begin to believe this guy.
"I'm out of chakra, and that's a drag, because I've already planned the next 200 moves." Shikamaru said and released his shadow, walking back to the competitors box. A confused Temari followed behind.

The proctor looked at them for a moment. Then he sighed. That was a Nara moment if ever he saw one.
"Next match contestants please make their way down to the arena. Kankuro and Shino." He announced out. He watched the two head down. They stood silently, not even talking. Simply watching, calculating. The proctor raised his hand.
"Begin!" The two shinobi sprang backwards, both preferring to fight from a mid to long range style. Kankuro unwrapped his puppet immediately. Shino raised his arms and bugs began to flow out of his sleeves in swarms. Shino immediately sent them towards Kankuro, but before anything could happen, a loud scream of rage could be heard. All heads snapped to the top of the arena where a tall, lone man stood.
"Curse you Sarutobi!" He shouted, clearly gone mad. Hiruzen's eyes widened.
"Fire style! Fireball jutsu!" Orochimaru screamed out, clapping his hands together in a tiger hand seal and blowing out a giant ball of fire. The amount of chakra he'd infused in the ball was enough to grow it into a gigantic fireball in seconds.
"Wind style! Great breakthrough!" He shouted, his hands clapping together again as large gusts of wind began to blow wildly into the arena, the wind so strong that even the people sitting in the Hokage's box could feel the wind blowing into their face. The Hokage stood up.
"Water style! Water wall jutsu!" He cried out and formed a wall of water in front of the approaching fireball. It didn't last long, with the wind jutsu powering up the fire jutsu, it was unstoppable, going straight through the wall with a loud hiss of steam. The already maddened Orochimaru drew out his kusanagi and then suddenly twisted around and stabbed backwards, forcing the Uchiha prodigy to block instantly. Orochimaru screamed in rage as he continued to smash against Itachi's katana with his kusanagi, overpowering Itachi with sheer brute strength.

The ground below the arena suddenly erupted outwards, and the four cloaked akatsuki members leapt up. Hidan was the first through, swinging his scythe left and right, forcing the people in the arena to jump out, and steer clear of the dangerous Jashin follower. Kakuzu was next in, forming a hand seal and watching as his masks exploded from his back, forming into four semi humanoid creatures. Kisame jumped up next, wielding Samehada and watching the Leaf Jonin who looked like they were waiting to enter. Then finally, Danzo stepped out. Hiruzen gasped, as did a lot of the Leaf ninja. Danzo was in an akatsuki cloak. His bandages were unwrapped, revealing a Sharingan in his right eye. Even his right arm had been unsealed. Kakuzu grabbed Kisame and with a small nod, hardened his hand and threw Kisame straight at the kage box. Lady Mito, Naruto, Karin and Lady Tsunade stood up as well, watching as the akatsuki drew closer. Kisame gave them a grin before forming a ram seal.
"Water style! Super exploding water shockwave!" He took a deep breath, and pouring a lot of chakra into this jutsu, spewed out vast, seemingly endless amounts of water, crashing around through the stadium, sweeping everyone off their feet. Kisame then grabbed Samehada before fusing himself with it, shouting out:
"Water prison shark dance jutsu!" The massive amount of water he'd spewed out earlier than shaped itself into a gigantic dome, with Kisame at it's centre, fused with his Samehada so he had taken on an appearance of a humanoid shark.
"Time to feast..." Kisame said as he shot forward seeking out the chakra signature of the nine tailed fox. Danzo, Hidan and Kakuzu watched before turning their attention to the rapidly approaching Leaf Jonin. Kakuzu stepped forward. Kakuzu stepped forward and his masks returned to him. He spat out a large volume of grey-black threads, and detached all of his limbs, extending them with the same grey-black threads. His four masks joined his head in the centre of the large, misshapen being that he had become. Kakuzu had now switched to long range. His lightning mask opened its mouth.
"Lightning style! False darkness!" Brilliant spears of lightning shot out, stabbing multiple leaf ninja, killing many instantly. Kakuzu's fire and wind masks opened their mouths too.
"Fire style! Searing migraine!"
"Wind style! Pressure damage!" The wind jutsu empowered the small fireball that was shot out, which travelled along the ground at immense speeds, reaching the closest Leaf Ninja before he'd even registered it. On contact, it exploded into a firestorm, the intense heat and flames killing many shinobi. Hidan went to rush forward but Danzo placed an arm on him.
"Keep calm. Let Kisame hunt the nine tails jinchuriki. Our job is to look out for the Sand jinchuriki." Danzo said, but as he said that, they spotted the telltale moving sand shielding some of the ninja from Kakuzu's combination ninjutsu attacks.
"Let's go!" Danzo and Hidan rushed forward, with Hidan taking the lead, swinging his large scythe left and right, while Danzo began to weave hand seals. He closed his right eye, letting Hidan protect him while he gathered chakra. They burst through the Leaf Ninja with ease as they scattered before the large scythe. Gaara stepped up and shot sand spears from the ground straight into Hidan's body, but it barely slowed down the jashinist, who continued to run at him while laughing. Hidan leapt up and Gaara raised two sand pillars from beside him and smash into Hidan, trapping him there. It was a mistake, as it turned out, because it allowed Danzo to get right in front of Gaara.
"Kotoamatsukami!" Was the last thing Gaara heard as he saw the swirling mangekyo Sharingan in Danzo's eye.

To be honest, I feel like Danzo as a character in Naruto is the most flexible character to work with. From his hidden agenda, to his method of work, I just feel like you can't label him as good or bad. There's so much that isn't explained or said about Danzo and that leaves him in a shroud of mystery that as a writer, I think is very rewarding when I manage to work it into something that seems feasible and not too outlandish.
