Chapter 9

Louis stared curiously at the bubbles in the large bathtub he was sat in. Lou, the prince's caretaker and close friend, poured some water over Louis' head, thoroughly soaking him.

"Washed up from a shipwreck," Lou tisked, "you poor dear. We'll get you nice and clean."

She picked up the sail he had worn and cringed. She hid her disgust with a smile as she turned back to Louis. "I'll just... wash this for you," she suggested, unknown to the fact that Zayn was still hidden among the sheets. She placed the sheets on top of a small table that was near a window. Lou picked up a landline and called for a butler to take away the sheets.

Zayn panicked, scrambling out of the sheets and towards the first open space he could find- the window. He scaled the drain pipe before jumping through the first window he saw. He landed on a countertop with a thud, behind many bottles and containers. Zayn grumbled in pain as he peeked behind the bottles and checked for humans. What he found was much worse. All over the room was sharp knives and dangerous tools. On silver platters, different sea creatures were displayed and garnished with human food. Zayn thought his heart stopped when he noticed three crabs, stuffed and garnished on a three plates.

"Harry," Nick groaned, as he stuffed his pipe from his seat at the dining table, "Be reasonable! People don't just swim around rescuing people in the middle of the ocean and then flitter off into oblivion like-"

"I'm telling you, Nick, they were real!" Harry interrupted, turning away from the window for a moment to look at him, "I'm going to find that person and I'm going to marry them."

A giggle from the hallway caused the two men to look up at the door.

"C'mon, honey!" Lou laughed, "Don't be shy!" As she lightly pushed Louis inside, he took a deep breath and walked towards the prince. He was dressed in the prince's old clothes that were too small for him to wear. He had on a nice white button up shirt and tight fitting black jeans. He rolled up the sleeves and wore a bowtie to look nice. Louis smiled shyly as the prince stared at him, amazed.

"Harry," Nick singsonged, quietly, so Louis couldn't hear, "isn't he a vision?"

Harry ignored him, as he smiled at Louis, widely, and complimented, "You look wonderful."

Louis ducked his head shyly at the compliment, then looked back up at him with his shining blue eyes.

"Come, come," Nick rushed, leading Louis towards the table with a hand on his back, "You must be famished. Let us help you, sir."

Harry scurried to the table and pulled out a chair for Louis to sit in, to which Louis smiled gratefully at. As he took his seat, Louis suddenly recognized the dinglehopper, like the one he'd found in the sunken ship, on the table. He picked it up and began combing through his hair with the contraption until he noticed Harry and Nick looking at him weirdly. He quickly placed down the dinglehopper and looked down at his lap, embarrassed. He looked up, across the table at Nick, who was now holding a match to- a snarfblat! Louis' eyes light up excitedly and Nick took notice.

"Do you like it?" Nick asked, handing over the pipe to Louis, who took it in his hands. "It's a rather old piece, but I prefer using them over-"

He was interrupted suddenly by Louis, who blew into the snarfblat and sent smoke flying into Nick's face. Louis' face burned red, while Lou and Harry burst into laughter.

"Uh, um," Harry coughed, "Sorry, Nick."

"Why, Harry," Lou remarked, "that's the first time I've seen you smile in weeks."

As Lou quickly helped Nick cleanup, Louis noticed that he had actually made the prince laugh (and he wouldn't mind hearing that again). "Very amusing," Nick sarcastically mused, "Lou, dear, what's for dinner?"

"Oh you're gonna love it," Lou nodded, "Paul's making his speciality- stuffed crab!"

Zayn spotted a large man walk into the room with a bowl of fish, humming.

"Les... Pois... Son. Les poissons, how I love les poissons," He sang, placing one of the fish belly up on the chopping board. He pulled out a butcher's knife and continued, "Love to chop and to serve little fish. First I cut off their heads, then I pull out their bones." Zayn thought he was going to be sick. He quietly crawled away, in fear that he might become stuffed crab if he stayed any longer. As he snuck off, the cook continued to sing, "With a cleaver, I hack them in two. I pull out what's inside and I serve it up fried. God, I love little fish, don't you?"

As the cook placed down the fish on a tray, Zayn covered himself in a piece of lettuce and crawled slowly across the table.

"Here's something for tempting the palate," the cook sang, "prepared in the classic technique. First you pound the fish flat with a mallet, then you slash through the skin, give the belly a slice, then you rub some salt in cause that makes it taste nice!"

The cook lifted the piece of lettuce Zayn was hiding under and gasped, "I missed one!"

He lifted Zayn by the shell and shook his head, "How on earth could I miss such a sweet, succulent crab? Well, here we go, in the sauce!" He talked to Zayn, as if they could communicate. He dipped Zayn in tomato sauce, then added a dab of flour.

"Now I'll stuff you with bread," the cook teased, stuffing the mixture into Zayn's shell. "It won't hurt, cause you're dead." Zayn spat out the stuffing as the cook began to take him towards a boiling pot of water. Zayn flipped out of the cook's hands, back onto the counter. The cook frowned, lifting Zayn with a pair of tongs.

"What is this?" The cook wondered, before Zayn pinched him with his claw. The cook reeled back in pain, allowing Zayn his escape.

The cook lunged for the crab as Zayn crawled all over the countertop. In the process, the cook knocked over several items, including bowls of produce, containers of spices and flour, and boxes of rice and noodles. "C'mon back here and fight like a man!" The cook shouted, holding up his mallet and pounding it all over the counter.

"PAUL!" Lou shouted from the doorway. Paul jumped, spinning towards the woman.

"What are you doing?!" Lou yelled, hands on her hips.

"Well, you see- I was just trying- There was," Paul stuttered, before shrugging. "Sorry m'am."

Lou huffed, picking up the tray of covered plates and rushing out the door.

"You know, Harry," Nick suggested, as Lou placed his plate in front of him, "perhaps our guest might enjoy seeing some of the sights of the kingdom. Something in the way of a tour."

Harry snapped out of his staring at Louis as Lou placed their plates in front of them, "I'm sorry Nick, what was that?"

"You can't spend all your time moping about. You need to get out," Nick pressed, as he lifted the lid to his plate. He and Harry were too focused in their conversation to notice Louis' shock as he found Zayn hiding underneath Nick's lid. "Do something," Nick continued, "Have a life. Get your mind off-"

"Easy, Nick, easy," Harry interrupted. Zayn placed his claw over his mouth in a shushing manner as Louis, silently, searched for a way to help Zayn. He quickly lifted the lid to his plate and motioned for Zayn to hide under his plate. Zayn scrambled across the table as Harry shrugged, "It's not a bad idea, if he's interested." Harry turned to Louis, who quickly slammed the lid down before anyone could notice.

"What do you say? Would you like to join me on a tour of my kingdom tomorrow?" Harry asked, hopefully. Louis nodded, excitedly, causing Nick to sigh in relief.

"Wonderful," Nick cheered, "Now let's eat, before this crab runs off my plate."

Louis watched Harry from his bedroom window as the prince played fetch with Max in the large backyard. Harry felt someone looking at him and looked up at the light window. He smiled at Louis and waved. Louis jumped, slightly embarrassed to be caught staring, and waved back, before walking into his room. Louis walked towards the large, king sized bed as Zayn complained about the kitchen scenario.

"This has got to be, without a doubt, the single, most humiliating day of my life," Zayn groaned. Louis patted his head, lovingly as Zayn continued, "I hope you appreciate what I go through for you, young man." Louis stood at the edge of the mattress, unsure of how it worked. He sat down, hesitantly on the edge, before his weight caused him to sink further into the bed. As Louis found it amusing how soft and bouncy the bed was, Zayn began to strategize for the next day.

"Now, we got to make a plan to get that boy to kiss you," He started, as Louis bounced around the bed for a moment, "Tomorrow, when he takes you for that ride, you gotta look your best. You gotta bat your eyes, and pucker up your lips, and-" Zayn paused to finally look at Louis, who was fast asleep on his pillow. "Hmm," Zayn smiled, turning out the light and crawling next the Louis' pillow. He patted the boy's fringe and sighed, "You are hopeless, child. Completely hopeless."

Under the sea, Triton paced back and forth in his throne room. He paused as his seahorse herald swam in.

"Any sign of them?" The sea king asked.

"No, your Majesty," the seahorse replied, "We searched everywhere. We found no trace of your son, or Zayn."

King Triton hid his disappointment and commanded, "Well, keep looking! Leave no shell unturned, no coral unexplored. Let no one in this kingdom sleep until he's safe at home."

"Yes, sire," The seahorse bowed, leaving the room.

The king sat at his throne, weeping, "Oh, what have I done? What have I done?"

Harry and Louis waved to Lou and Nick, as they drove off in Harry's black ferrari. Louis wore short-sleeved, light blue button up, with shorts while Harry wore a white t-shirt and brown blazer with black jeans (A/N Their LWWY outfits). Harry glanced at Louis, before doing a double-take. Louis was up on his knees, leaning over the side of the car as the wind blew his hair back. Harry smiled, unable to stop himself from thinking about how cute this boy was.

As they crossed a low bridge, Liam swam along side their car, leaping out of the water to gain their attention. Zayn, who was hiding in Louis' left pocket, crawled onto his shoulder and waved at Liam.

"Have they kissed yet?" Liam yelled.

"Not yet," Zayn whisper-shouted.

"Aw man," Liam frowned. As their car continued on, Niall flew by and called out, "Hey Liam! Any kissing?"

"No," Liam shook his head, "Not yet." Niall groaned, "Well, they better get cracking!"

Louis and Harry spent the day walking around the kingdom and window shopping. At small corner, a band was playing the drums and guitar. Louis suddenly had an idea, and lunged at the prince. He put on hand on Harry's arm and brought it down, so the prince was holding onto his hip. Then, Louis laced their other hands together. Harry finally got the idea and began to waltz along the sidewalk, with everyone watching, amused.

In the late afternoon, they made their way back to Harry's car. Harry bought Louis many items that he seemed to like, unknowingly because it was the first time Louis had seen any of these human objects. Harry pulled out his keys and looked at Louis, expectantly.

"Would you like to drive?" Harry asked, holding out the keys. Louis' face brightened as he nodded, handing over his souvenirs to Harry in exchange for the keys. As they took their seats, Louis tried to act as though he had done something like this before. He put the key in the ignition, as he had seen Harry do earlier. He saw a pedal near his foot and began to ease his foot down, before Harry stopped him.

"Wait!" Harry chuckled, "you're still in park." Harry shifted a stick near Louis' hip and Louis rolled his eyes in a I-knew-that sort of manner. He stepped on the gas and they zoomed off. Harry gripped the seat, surprised by how fast this boy took off. Harry noticed they were about to reach a speed bump and Louis wasn't slowing down. As they ran over the speed bump, the car lurched forward, high in the air, then landed swiftly and continued driving. Louis seemed unfazed as he continued driving, while Harry was shocked that they were still alive. Harry looked at the boy seated next to him, who glanced at him and smirked. The prince smiled, chuckling and giving him directions to their last destination of the tour.
