Just some info since the last chapter. You landed on Lothal and reunited with your family. Then you, Echo, Fives and Ahsoka brought a restaurant with a bar and lived in the two floors above it. You called it "501 Dishes Of Perfection" and you all worked there. Kix brought a small medical building to work in and lives in the flat above it. He managed to extract the control chips from Rex and Fives. (Yeah I would have done something better for it but I want to move on in the story) Rex brought a hotel that he lives in and runs. Anakin, Padmè and the newly born Luke and Leia live there and help run the place (well the babies don't but Anakin and Padmè do). Spectre is still in a coma but Kix thinks he may wake up soon. The Empire exists now and all the clones are now stormtroopers. And Jesse, he lives on a farm with his girlfriend, Hirani and their adopted daughter, Nari.
(Y/N) POV
Natalie tore through the chairs and tables of the cantina to the bar where you and Ahsoka were.
"Mummy! Daddy! It's life day tomorrow!" She yelled, still in her pyjamas.
Ahsoka laughed as you picked her up. "Yes it is, honey." You looked at her with mock seriousness. "Have you been good this year?"
She stared back at you, wide-eyed. "Yes I have."
"Why don't you go and see uncle Echo to tell him all about it?" Ahsoka patted the little togruta on the head.
"Yeah!" She ran off to the back room of the restaurant to find Echo.
You facepalmed. "What have you done?"
Ahsoka giggled. "Just unleashed that crazy daughter of ours on the walking data pad."
You walked over to where she was washing up and slipped your arms around her waist.
"(y/n)!" She tried to pull your arm away, but you kissed her and her struggles melted like ice cream inside the sun. "What are you doing?"
"Just appreciating how good our life is now." You smiled.
A crash came from upstairs.
"The kriff was that?" Ahsoka questioned as you began running towards the stairs.
Taking the steps three at a time, you charged through the hallway and came to a stop outside Fives and Echo's room.
Sliding the door open, you quickly checked the room for anything unusual. Everything seemed fine until you see the clone lying on the floor clutching his head.
"Fives?" You exclaimed in shock.
"Urgh... yeah?" Fives muttered from the floor.
"What the kriff happened?" You helped him up from the floor.
"Well, I got drunk again then I slept and then I fell over and hit my head." You listened to his very brief explanation.
Then he ran for the fresher, barely missing crashing with Ahsoka as she reached the room.
"What happened?" She questioned, looking worriedly after Fives.
"He has a hangover." You told her. "He fell out of bed and hit his head."
She just shook her head. "Why does he do that so much?"
"What, hit his head? He doesn't do that much." You were confused.
"No, get drunk." She replied with an eye roll.
"The horrors of war make us all do things we can't control." Neither you or Ahsoka had noticed Echo walk into the room, holding Natalie on his hip.
"Poor Fives got stuck with his drinking problem, but it makes him happy. I sometimes verge on knowitallism because it makes me happy. You and Ahsoka got each other and Natalie because you all make each other happy."
His small speech resonated within you, and by the look on her face, Ahsoka too.
"...I didn't even realise." Ahsoka spoke slowly, almost carefully.
You looked at Echo seriously. "Echo, if you ever need us for anything, you tell us. Ok?"
"Yeah, yeah." Echo seemed absent as he handed Natalie to you. "I need to go check on Fives."
You and Ahsoka shared some worried looks as he left. "Does he seem... ok to you?" You asked Ahsoka.
"I don't know." The worrying reply came.
"Shall we call Kix?" She said after a while.
"For who?" You asked.
"Both."
You nodded fretfully.
Ahsoka went off to contact Kix from your bedroom while you brought Natalie downstairs.
"Honey, wanna flip the open sign on?" You asked your daughter.
"Yes yes yes!" She practically leapt out of your arms to run over to the switch that powered up the open sign.
Your early morning regulars came in shortly after that, seeking their breakfast.
"Natalie, be a darling and go fetch your dad for me." One of the customers, Mrs Enta Kremtal, asked your daughter.
Natalie nodded politely and then ran over to you and started pulling at your trouser leg.
"I know sweetheart, I heard." You smiled and made your way over to the table.
"What can I do for you, Enta?" You and Ahsoka were quite popular in the city because of your friendly nature towards your customers, which had given you some fast friends.
"Hey (y/n), I was wondering if you still run karaoke night tonight, or if you changed it this week."
"No, the day changes to Wednesday next week." You smiled at her. "Planning a fun family night out tonight?"
She grinned. "You got it!"
At that point, you saw Echo come downstairs.
"Sorry Enta, I have to dash." You headed off to where Echo was sitting.
You sat opposite him and Natalie took the seat beside yours.
"Echo? You ok?" You carefully asked.
"Yeah. I put Fives back to bed." Echo sounded normal again, which was a huge relief to you.
"You want anything?" You questioned.
"I could do with a Coke." He thoughtfully answered.
"I'm on it." You pushed up from the table. Natalie stayed with Echo as you went to get the drink.
When you came back, Ahsoka had joined the table group. You passed Echo his drink and sat down again.
"As I was saying." Ahsoka began. "I really think you should join Fives in the session, Echo."
You figured out that she was trying to get Echo to go to some kind of session with Kix. That must have been what she talked about with him.
"I don't think I need to." Echo protested.
"Did you see yourself earlier, buddy?" You asked. "All spaced out and almost absent?"
"What?" The clone was really confused now.
"You got really weird after I asked why Fives drinks so much." Ahsoka explained.
"Ok. I'll go." Echo gave up. Pretty easily, you noticed.
"Good." Ahsoka rested a hand on his.
Later that day
Warning! Sad and slightly gory part ahead!
You were out on a walk through the city when you smelt the suffocating aroma of smoke.
You looked at the sky to see a pillar of the black smoke coming up from the Bridger household.
"No!" The Bridgers were some of your closest friends.
You ran over to the street where they lived to see a group of stormtroopers and a couple of flametroopers walking away from the burning building.
Pulling a bandanna up to your mouth and nose to help you breathe, you ran into the inferno to search for your friends.
"Mira! Ephriam!" You cried into the smoke. Nearly tripping on a smouldering support beam, you heard a faint sound.
Running to where the sound came from, you saw a horribly wounded Mira with a young boy sitting next to her, holding her hand.
Mira was burned all the way up her left side, blood dripping from the mangled flesh. Her right stomach section had multiple blaster wounds through it.
"Mira!" You knelt beside her.
"Take... take ca.. care o.. of my b..b..boy." She weakly muttered into your ear, before going limp in your arms.
"No, Mira." Tears streamed from your eyes as you held her body. Remembering the boy next to you, you slipped off your bandanna and fitted it on him.
He must have been about three years old. You hoisted him up and ran out of the burning tomb just in time, as the roof collapsed behind you.
The boy cried into your shoulder, and you she's some silent tears with him.
After a while of just standing next to the fire, you made the effort to move in the direction of home.
"Let's go, Ezra." You remembered his name from his parents stories. He remained his in your shoulder.
You began to walk with the boy.
Sorry it took me so long to update! I have had a long Christmas break. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this story, but I will probably finish it relatively soon and move on to one set in rebels time that will pretty much be about the Tano family living on Lothal and the stuff they get up to (sort of like a drama type thing). Tell me what you think!
Me out
