I rememeber that day

When you came into the shop

There was so many animals

Parrots, fishes, and pups

 But your head turned to me

Your eyes turned and stared

And I knew from the start

That you wanted to care

 So you took me home

The house on Eve Street

And when we walked in

You gave me a treat

You grabbed a brush

You gave me food

And I already knew

My life was about to get good

I watched as you got big

I watched as you grow

I watched your first kiss

But you just didn’t know

You then got married

To a beautiful girl

And you guys came together

And brought life to this world

I then came to love her as well

Her eyes that were blue

Her hair like her mother's

Her nose just like you

We lived together

Always so glad

Until one day

You guys became sad

I began getting sick

My body went numb

My eyes wouldn't open

I felt all so glum

So you took me to the place

Where our story began

I layed on the bed

And you took my hand

Your tears were falling

Down your adult face

Your breathing was going

At a very fast pace

"But don't cry for me"

I wanted to say

This was going to happen

Soon on any day

"Don't forget about me

And the times that we had

Always remain happy

And never became said"

And it was an honor
