Jakes eyes looked about ready to pop out of his head.
"So were not completely insane." he said trying to lighten the mood in the room. No one smiled, not even Jake.
"So," Alex started nervously fingering the hem of his shirt. "We need to figure out how many more of use there are out there." Tracy admired that he got right to he point. Jake turned a pale ghostly white.
"Five" He said.
"What?" Tracy asked.
"Remember the needle dream?" Everyone nodded,
"I overheard one of their conversation, they said three down, two to go." Tracy smiled,
"good job! Now we just need to find out who they are..."
"One thing at a time." Alex comforted "Well give it a break. Meet back here tomorrow?"
"That's good with us, see you then." Tracy and Alex walked out the door..
"Hey Trace?"
"Ya?"
"I know I just met you, but do you know of and say hotels. Or people who will take me in?"
"Why don't you just go home?"
"I don't have one. My mother died when I was very young, and my father just got put in jail."
Tracy gasped, "Why didn't you tell me? You can stay at my place. In my father's room." Alex looked uncertain. "He works night shifts," Tracy explained "If we're out before noon, when he gets back."
"No Tracy that's not right." Tracy started walking, she had a mischievous grin on her face.
"Well it's that or the street." She said stubbornly and took off running. The wind blew her hair, and she felt alive. She hadn't had this much fun teasing people since her mother passed away. She approached the house and stopped abruptly, forgetting that Alex was right behind her.
"Ahhhhh!!" Tracy and Alex fell into a pile of arms and legs. Alex jumped up.
"Oh my gosh!! Trace, I'm so sorry!" Apologized, Alex. Tracy burst out laughing, and soon Alex joined in.

While Alex went to go pick up some clothes at the local store. Tracy started to prepare supper. She heard a knock at the door. When she opened it and saw her guest she was too shocked to move. It was Janie and she was crying her a river.
"I'm so sorry. I know that that will never make things better between us but I really need to talk to you." Tracy didn't move a muscle, was Janie trying to trick her into doing something?
"I can do it to. " Janie whispered.
"Do what?" Tracy asked skeptically. Janie gulped, "I have powers, and I need you're help. I accidentally made my father forget who me and my brother are." Janie paused to reveal the older boy slowly making his way up the path. He looked about seventeen years old. "Not many people know this, but my mother is dead, so we had nowhere. This is My brother Ethan. He has similar powers to me, except we can't figure out how to reverse them. You were the only person I could think of..."
Tracy rubbed her temples to get rid of her head ache.
"I guess you guys can stay, but only because we needed to find the rest of us."
"Who's we?" Janie demanded, back to her old self.
Tracy thought momentarily.
"There are five of us. Me, Jake, Alex, you, and Ethan. Our goal is to find out why we're different, what were supposed to do, and..." She paused for effect.
"To find out who took our parents."
