"SARINA SILVERMIST! GET IN HERE THIS INSTANT!"

The thunderous voice of Aunt Helen echoed through the house, leaving Sarina, Susan, and Lucy in their shared room bewildered.

"What did I do?" Sarina questioned, her voice laced with confusion.

The three girls exchanged worried glances. Cautiously, Sarina descended the stairs with her senses on high alert.

Susan and Lucy trailed behind her, mirroring her cautious steps. As Sarina turned to check on her cousins, she noticed Peter and Edmund, silently observing the scene with their faces etched with concern.

"What's wrong?" Peter mouthed. Susan shook her head, equally clueless.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, Sarina spotted her aunt's back, engaged in a conversation with a familiar figure, "Professor McGonagall?" she whispered, recognition dawning on her face.

Both figures turned, Aunt Helen's arms planted firmly on her hips, her expression a storm cloud of anger.

"Sarina Silvermist! I can't believe you would hide this from me! How could I only find out now that you were injured at school?"

The realization hit Sarina like a bolt of lightning. She exchanged a helpless glance with Professor McGonagall, who simply sighed and shook her head. Her third year at Hogwarts had been anything but smooth. From the moment she befriended Harry Potter, her life had been a whirlwind of unexpected adventures, well often leading to trouble.

The recent incident involving a time-turner, a hippogriff, and Sirius Black- who is Harry's godfather- was just the latest in a long line of mishaps. But Sarina couldn't reveal the truth to her Muggle aunt without jeopardizing the secrecy of the wizarding world.

"It was just an accident," she replied, choosing the safest option. She nodded subtly to Professor McGonagall, a sign that she is aware of what she is not allowed to tell.

"Either way, you should've told me! Now, where were you injured and how did it happen?"

The worried aunt pulled Sarina upstairs, instructing Susan to look after their guest.

"No need to worry about me. I'll be leaving soon; I still have a few more houses to visit," Professor McGonagall said, glancing at the witch, "I'll see you next term, Ms. Silvermist. I hope I won't have to come back here to tell your guardians about any incidents."

Sarina winced. "That's impossible, Professor. How can I do that?" she asked, genuinely puzzled. Her cousins looked on with interest, while her aunt frowned at her words.

"And what is that supposed to mean, Sarina?" her aunt pressed, wanting clarification.

Sarina looked at Professor McGonagall, who sighed. "It seems the war is impacting some students even here at school. The Headmaster and I are doing our best to keep everyone safe."

Sarina silently admired her professor for skillfully steering the conversation away from the topic.

Once Professor McGonagall left, Sarina's aunt dragged her back to her room, with Susan following with a first aid kit.

"Now, where's that injury?"

"Auntie, it's already taken care of."

"I don't care. I want to check it. Show me the injury."

Sarina had no choice but to comply. She rolled up her long sleeves, revealing a deep gash on her arm.

Both Susan and her aunt gasped at the sight. Sarina noticed her cousins, Peter, Edmund, and Lucy, watching with wide eyes, mirroring the same shock.

"Oh my god! What happened to you?"

The wound was from the Whomping Willow, but of course she can't say that so- "I fell down the stairs." she replied instead.

They looked at her as if she were joking.

"I'm serious. The stairs at that school are like bloody mountains! One wrong step and you're in trouble, or worse," she said, pointing to the gash. Technically, she wasn't lying; the stairs at Hogwarts were indeed dangerous. She had to navigate them every time she went to her common room.

"And how did that happen? You didn't just fall on your own, did you?"

"Oh, but I did," she answered honestly. It was fortunate her reasons were real; it gave her the confidence to say it.

Her aunt sighed and cleaned the wound again, applying ointment. Once she was done, she left the room, leaving the Pevensie children with Sarina.

"That's going to scar," Edmund remarked.

"Ed!" Peter scolded him.

"It's fine. I'll wear it like a badge of honor instead of feeling down about it," she replied.

Sarina could see Susan wasn't convinced, and before she could say anything, Sarina clapped her hands to shift the focus.

"Okay, enough about me. You four should head to your rooms and get some sleep. You have classes tomorrow, and I don't want to get in trouble for being a bad influence on my cousins."

She ushered them out of her room. "I promise I'll hang out with you all after class tomorrow. I'll be at the train station waiting for you."

"Do you promise?" Lucy asked, peeking back in. Sarina nodded and playfully tapped her little cousin's nose with her finger. "I promise."

Normalcy felt like a strange concept to Sarina now. She had grown up with her mother, Elena, a Muggle-born, who had captured the heart of her pureblood father, Levi Silvermist. Yet, Levi was bound by an unbreakable arrangement to marry Diana Rosier, leaving Sarina as the product of a love that couldn't fully bloom-a secret, illegitimate child of her father's high school sweetheart.

Sarina spent her childhood with her mother, and occasionally with her cousins, the Pevensies and the Scrubbs. For the most part, she lived like a Muggle. That was until one fateful day when she discovered she could lift a book from a shelf without even touching it, only to accidentally blow up Eustace's favorite science project (let's keep that little mishap). Initially, she thought she was losing her mind, but her mother's explanation soon revealed the truth: she was a witch.

On her eleventh birthday, the letter from Hogwarts arrived, and she was sorted into Ravenclaw-a surprise, considering she'd expected Gryffindor. After all, her mother was a Gryffindor, full of adventure and daring. Sarina had always admired that spark in her mother's eyes whenever she recounted her own Hogwarts days. In her heart, Sarina considered herself a Gryffindor too, which perhaps explained how she had managed to befriend the Chosen One, Harry Potter, along with his companions, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, the brightest witch she knew.

Speaking of those three, Sarina still couldn't believe the Ministry hadn't thrown them into Azkaban after everything they'd done. Not that they were aware of their actions -she could only hope that they did not.

As she made her way to the meeting spot with her cousins, she spotted two familiar figures darting across the road, nearly recklessly. "Was that Lucy and Susan?" she thought, quickening her pace toward the station where they seemed to be headed. When she arrived, she was met with a chorus of loud cheers.

A fight?

She spotted Lucy and Susan trying to pass to the crowd. Then she saw Edmund, passing by the crowd ... and joining the fight.

"Edmund!" What were her cousins thinking?

Just then, the police arrived to break up the fight. Sarina stood by, watching as the crowd began to thin out. Once there was enough space, she made her way over to the siblings.

"Can someone please explain what just happened?" Sarina's voice cut through and the Pevensie siblings finally turned to her.

"Did Peter start the fight, or did they?" she chimed in, "I'll back you up, Pete." A sharp smack on her shoulder from Susan made her wince.

"Don't encourage him, Sari. But seriously, Peter, what happened?"

"They bumped into me," Peter replied.

"And you hit them?" Lucy asked, to which Peter added, "No, they bumped me and then tried to make me apologize. That's when I hit him."

"That doesn't sound too bad," Sarina said, and raised her hands in defense when Susan shot her a warning glance.

"In my defense, people do way worse. Pete's actually tamer than them," Sarina said.

Susan groaned while Lucy and Edmund chuckled. Peter appreciated Sarina's support, though he stayed silent. She didn't condone his actions, but after three years at Hogwarts, this felt mild. At least no one had been hexed into needing Madam Pomfrey.

"Is it really that hard to just walk away?"

"Uh, I'll grab some drinks to cool everyone off," Sarina suggested, sensing Susan was about to scold Peter. She headed to the nearest vending machine, but as she returned, an odd sensation washed over her.

All four Pevensies stood in a tight group, and something stirred in the air. Magic. Grabbing the nearest sibling, she instinctively hovered her hand over her wand. Before she could process it, they vanished from the train station.

"What in Merlin's beard is this place?"
