In PENDRAGON's timeline, the Beast of Apocalypse would be awakened by a silver-haired man who would use Sephiroth Grail to revive and modify it to create replicas of Scale Mail. However, Y/N had altered the timeline 1500 years earlier. His actions had led to an uncertain future that even Odin's clairvoyance could not see.

There was a reason that Alter had begun to act in the 21st century, which was the only historical period where the presence of the Holy Grail was certified and, if the Y/N's theory was correct, the events that would follow would mark the path the future would take.

"Having a heavy mind is not good on the eve of a battle" Y/N reached Gasper, who was sighing heavily, and sat next to him. "I suggest you free it now."

Y/N had a sort of idea of what could pass through Gasper's mind. He had returned to his homeland, of which he did not have many good memories, and probably the Dhampir who possessed the Holy Grail was an acquaintance of Gasper, perhaps even a friend.

"Do you want to destroy this place? Do you want to wipe vampires out?" Y/N said, turning Gasper towards him. "If you ask me, I can do it without too many complaints."

Y/N was no longer as naive a child as he had been until now. He was a man who had responsibilities. He was willing to resort to anything to protect everyone, including killing the possessor of the Holy Grail.

"I know a person from the Tepes Faction, a half-breed like myself, and also the only friend I had before meeting Rias-bouchu and the others," Gasper spoke as they resurfaced in his mind, reminding him of his imprisonment along with the other half-breeds, especially a dhampir girl who was about his age. "The idea of her getting involved in this war makes me sick."

Hell would be unleashed. Many vampires, pure-blooded and dhampir, would die. Y/N could only understand how Gasper could feel since he had felt the same way with King Arthur.

"During my interdimensional travel, I could see alternate versions of myself and I had learned something important from everyone. The freedom to live according to my desires and remain loyal to myself despite all the difficulties." Y/N drew a copy of the Excalibur of that world and stared at it with sad eyes. He let King Arthur die to save everyone instead of convincing him to come to the future and live as a free man. "There are people who are important to me even more than my life and I fight to protect them, unconcerned of being injured."

"But I'm not as strong as you, Kiba-sempai or Issei-senpai," Gasper said, feeling sorry for himself.

Y/N shook his head vigorously. "No one is born strong. You can only become," Y/N replied, placing a hand on Gasper's head to console him. "It is the strength of our emotions and the solidity of our beliefs that make us strong."

Y/N used First Magic to create a glass vial and filled it with his blood. Gasper almost fainted at the sight of it when Y/N handed his blood to him.

EMIYA arrived. "The Tepes Faction would like to meet you."

Y/N sighed and gave a slap of encouragement to Gasper.

"If you're a man, then grow a pair," Y/N said.

------------------

The place where Y/N, Rider and PENDRAGON had been accompanied was an inner garden located in the highest area of the castle. It was a closed place where the only source of lighting was an artificial light that illuminated the colourful flowers and the only thing audible was the gentle flow of the river.

There was a table in the middle of the garden, around which Rias and Azazel were seated.

Rider observed the man dressed in black with his back against the wall. He had long blond and black hair and straight eyes and long pointed ears.

"You thought we didn't catch him," Rider commented sarcastically, noting the smile on the man's face.

"It's obvious he wants a rematch," Auros replied.

Rider carried a hand over his chest, feeling Auros agitating. "Not yet."

Y/N sat on one of the chairs while Rider and PENDRAGON leaned against the wall. Their presence was spare, however, they also had personal reasons for being there, especially PENDRAGON who wanted to know more about the silver-haired devil.

"That person over there is my bodyguard. His name is Crom Crouch," the Queen of the Tepes Faction said in a gentle tone.

Crom Crouch was the evil dragon of Irish mythology that was once controlled by Balor, the Evil God of Irish Mythology, until the latter's defeat by Lugh, the God of Light of Irish Mythology and Cù Chullain's father.

"I thought you were dead, " Crom Crouch said, eager for battle.

"As if a wretched lizard could defeat the King of Dragons," Rider replied sarcastically. "Last time I kicked your ass so hard you ran away."

Everyone observed the sparks that Crom Crouch and Rider were throwing at each other. It was clear that those two had met in the past and even challenged each other.

"That's enough, Rider," Y/N scolded harshly.

So did the Queen of the Tepes Faction. She was a young woman who carried the beauty of both vampires and humans. Her platinum blond hair was up to her neck and her red eyes looked like two sparkling rubies.

"Rias-sama told me about you. You are the person who helped Gasper-kun," the girl turned to Y/N with a kind but rather strange smile. "I am Valerie Tepes and you have my gratitude for this."

Y/N wasn't sure what she was talking about. Whether he could remember or not, he had never had much interaction with Rias and her group except when it was strictly necessary.

"I have no time to waste." Y/N hardened his expression. "For the sake of Gasper and all of us, I ask for the restitution of the Holy Grail to Heaven."

The vampires behind their queen chuckled with arrogance at the request of Y/N but their smiles faded into uncertainty when Y/N showed all his seriousness. Moving a simple finger, he hurled wind scythes that beheaded some of them.

"I leave you the choice. Hand over the Holy Grail right now or expect your extinction," Y/N threatened.

There was no time to waste. Every second they spent bringing Alter closer to his goal of bringing Goetia back to life and beginning a new Grand Order. The reason PENDRAGON and Rider were there was to help him. Gawain and Azazel were aware of the plan so they were indirectly supporting him.

"I imagine you wonder what right this person has to claim the Holy Grail." Azazel crossed his arms and grinned. "He is currently the God of Heaven."

The fact that Y/N was the Head of Heaven had been kept secret from everyone because Y/N had asked that he be allowed to lead a seemingly normal life until the Alter's problem was solved. However, Y/N had decided to make it public now.

"If you have heard the voices, then you also know that Ophis has sided with Heaven indirectly." Azazel's smile became more marked.

The complexion of the present Vampires became even paler than it already was while Rias confirmed the part about Y/N as Biblical God and Y/N raised the sleeve of his jersey to show them Ophis' mark.

The Charisma was a powerful weapon that Azazel wanted to exploit. Y/N was weaker than many beings like the ancient Primordial Gods; however, he was in the Top 10 of the most powerful beings for his charisma which had allowed him to win the favour of many powerful creatures.

"The Khaos Brigade is determined to take over the Holy Grail and we want to stop it," Y/N said, pointing the finger at Valerie. "Honestly, I don't care if you want to kill each other, but I don't want to let them get it."

"Who do you mean?" Valerie tilted her head slightly.

"Merlin," Y/N replied.

"Merlin? You mean Alter, do you?" At this point, Rias was confused too.

Y/N shook his head. "I miss putting together some points, but if I'm right, the enemies to defeat are the silver-haired devil and Merlin." He turned to Marius and stared at him with icy eyes. "1500 years ago Merlin wanted to use the Holy Grail to remove his weaknesses to become an even stronger Devil than the four Great Satans and the Biblical God. Ironically, that's what you, members of Tepes Faction, want to do." Y/N tilted his head to the side. "I wonder if that's a coincidence."

The answer was No. There were no coincidences in the World of Magi. Everything happened for a logical reason following the principle of cause and effect. If the Devils knew how to use the Holy Grail, then someone must have given the instructions.

And Y/N suspected that the person was Alter.

"Listen to me, Miss. Alter will come here and he won't mind killing anyone who gets in his way. And your supposed immortality will mean nothing against him since he stole me Harpe, an anti-immortal weapon," Y/N said, hardening his expression. "I will remain in vampire territory and await his arrival. I won't intend to interfere with your internal warfare, yet Alter is my problem and I will end it."

Rider grinned internally at how Y/N had cornered the extremist vampire faction. Their moves would be kept in check, forcing them to be more cautious.

"Won't you save them?" PENDRAGON asked sarcastically.

Y/N grunted annoyed. "Everyone is responsible for their own choices."

------------------

The final result was just what Y/N thought. The guy who was with the Queen of the Tepes Faction was in league with the terrorists. Even though he didn't say it specifically, his body had spoken clearly. He was the only one who remained calm at the news of God's return as if he already knew.

"You noticed it, didn't you?" Y/N observed Rider.

"Of course," Rider replied indignantly. "That girl is in pieces."

The Holy Grail acted on the principles of life and death, capable of bringing back to life people who had died for a long time. However, doing so damaged the soul and mind, making the user nothing more than an automaton capable of executing orders.

"If it were up to me, I'd erase the memory along with them," Rider snorted cynically.

The family was everything to Rider. Watching the Tepes exploit a person who had their own blood made Rider angry.

"I decided. I am going to beat them!" Rider growled furiously.

Everyone chuckled sarcastically. Well, Rider wasn't PENDRAGON and Y/N, so it was logical he had a different personality. And given the influence of the people he'd been in contact with, he certainly couldn't be a quiet person.

In Rias' mind, there was something that interested her. "You talked about Merlin, but I don't understand. Merlin shouldn't be an ally, should he?" she asked Azazel and Y/N.

"Sure, Merlin of my world is an ally, yet the version of this world is a scoundrel," Y/N replied, frowning at the memory of the manipulations that man had done on everyone.

"You see, 1500 years ago Merlin stole the Curse of the British Isles from Y/N but Gilgamesh... well... she punished him." Azazel shuddered at the mere memory of Gilgamesh's fury when Merlin raised his hands on Y/N. He shook his head and returned to focus. "However, Merlin must have created Alter and since Alter is a homunculus, his lifespan is almost limited."

"All very interesting, but what is the point of this?" PENDRAGON intervened abruptly. "Merlin created Alter, and it's quite plausible, but why did he do it?" he turned his attention to Y/N. "You know. I can see it in your eyes. Speak."

The wounds Gilgamesh had inflicted on Merlin were deadly, no one would survive. Even though he escaped the wrath of the King of Heroes, there was no way he was alive. Besides, even if he transplanted the curse into him, reality marble would kill him.

Y/N sighed wearily and pinched his neck. "I'm not sure, but it's possible that Merlin's established orders were ignored. After all, the Curse is alive and it has its own personality. And you should know better than anyone that I wouldn't lower my head to anyone, not even in front of the King of Heroes."

"I see," PENDRAGON nodded understandingly. "In this case, killing him would solve everything."

PENDRAGON got used to it. The early days as Counter Guardian were hard because he was forced to kill although he did not want to, but killing a few to save so many no longer affected him, a person that had made his heart steel.

"Stop this, Archer!" Y/N said, using Agravain's chains to block the Counter Guardian. "I'll take on Alter. This story started with me, and it ends with me."

PENDRAGON observed the determination that shone in them. He didn't know exactly what had happened to him, but he noticed that his determination to save everyone had only increased.

"Why do you have to save everyone?" PENDRAGON asked, continuing to stare into his younger self's eyes. "Saving everyone just because you want makes no sense."

"It did," Y/N said, the strength behind those words and the firmness of his gaze waved PENDRAGON. "It has a meaning since I have a goal to reach." Y/N released PENDRAGON from the shackles and turned around. "I will wipe out anyone who gets in my way, including you, Archer."

Y/N left, leaving everyone staring at him.

Rias knew thanks to Sona what had happened to Kuoh and was sincerely grateful to Y/N for having protected everyone, however, she noticed that the only one involved was Y/N. He had changed and she couldn't tell if he was changed for the better or worse.

"What do we do?" Rias felt her shoulders heavy.

Azazel sighed wearily. "Let's continue. The Holy Grail is the priority."

------------------

"We're at the final stages," Jeanne Alter said. "I hope you know what you're doing."

Alter blew casually. "Have I ever disappointed you so far?"

"Not even once," Jeanne Alter replied casually. In fact, he had given her more joy than she expected, manipulating the arrogant supernatural creatures and then leading them to self-destruct, smashing the ambitious dreams of arrogant men and women, but above all, what made her feel more excited was seeing people of faith and even angels fall into depravity.

"Except for her background, what is it about this girl?" Jeanne Alter asked, staring at the girl who was exiting the Training Room.

"She owns the Sacred Gear Alphecca Tyrant," Alter replied.

The Biblical God had created Sacred Gear following a specific pattern. Regular Sacred Gears were tools to create the miracle when the Age of Gods will come to an end and the Twelve Longines were superior to them because they reunited the abilities of other Sacred Gears.

However, the greatest secret of the tools created by the Biblical God was their ability to evolve, grow and become unique. Even a normal Sacred Gear could become a Longinus if the person who owned it worked hard.

This was the case of Alphecca Tyrant, the Sacred Gear owned by Meredith Ordinton, a girl whose existence had been denied by the British royal family. Alter had pushed anger and hatred towards her biological family to the point of forcing the evolution of her Sacred Gear.

"Are there any updates from Jack?" Alter asked.

Berserker Jack was a particular Heroic Spirit. Being a Heroic Spirit whose identity was shrouded in mystery, he could become anyone he wanted and his abilities changed according to the character he played. Combined with his ability to multiply, which stems from the theory that Jack was the name of a group of different assassins, he was the best in terms of infiltration.

"Just as you predicted, Marius Tepes is affecting Valerie Tepes' mind," Jeanne Alter reported.

"Very well." Alter nodded. "We will act when she is destroyed completely."

Though his expression was empty, he felt pity for Valerie. As much as Alter hated the world and Y/N, he knew how to distinguish between innocent and culprit. Valerie fits into the first category. She was a kind person born into a deviant house and it was pitiful that the interest of her family on her was moved only by her Sacred Gear.

"Also, Y/N demanded the restitution of the Holy Grail to Heaven," Jeanne Alter said.

"I imagined it," Alter replied selflessly.

"However, he said he would let them kill themselves," Jeanne Alter added, capturing Alter's interest. "Well, he said he's going to use the vampire's situation to his advantage."

Alter snorted. It wouldn't have been like this simply because they were talking about Y/N, but it was surely a good move to lower the guard of arrogant vampires.

Alter, Meredith and Jeanne Alter reached the Round Table. Lucius Tiberius, a second Berserker Jack and Doctor Victor Frankenstein had already arrived.

"Jack, Victor, you will stay here." Alter turned to Lucius Tiberius. "You must subdue a beast like Rider." He turned to Meredith. "You take care of the Red Dragon Emperor."

"A low-ranking devil won't even be a challenge," Meredith said arrogantly. "I would prefer a worthy opponent like the Biblical God."

Bad move.

Alter began emitting a black aura that filled the room. The atmosphere was heavy, Meredith felt the air missing while Alter's killing intent crushed her to the ground.

"Don't get full of yourself just because fake British royal blood runs through your veins," Alter said menacingly. "You're nothing compared to him." Alter lifted his aura, allowing Meredith to breathe normally again. "Jack, notify your copy of our arrival. Tell him to break her permanently and then proceed to extract the Holy Grail."

"As you wish, master," Jack nodded, communicating orders with the other Jacks.

Alter took a deep breath. "Do you know what the target is?"

Everyone nodded.

"Let's go."

The magic circuits flashed and Collbrande appeared in his hand.

"Let's finish this, Y/N."
