Warning: 10% long chapter, nothing new.

You suddenly woke up with a urge of adrenaline. You look around, it was dark?
You took out your phone out of your pocket and turned the flashlight one.
You checked the time from your phone, you were shocked that it was '2:27 AM'
You really wanted to sleep again but you had one more job to do, as a TCO. Your job is to maintain safety and proper order around the base even if it's night, winter, summer, rainy season. You decided to leave your Office for the night, locking behind the door to make sure no one gets in. You looked around, hallways, door frames that lead to meeting rooms, random rooms. All empty and dark.
You decided to go outside, you see night watchmen's guarding, checking and investigating any noise to prevent any intruders getting inside the base. You were so lost in thoughts that you didn't know there was a night watch guard infront of you. 'Sorry I was just in a deep thought' you say to him. 'Sir, why are you awake at this late hour? Weren't you suppose to sleep sir?' He says. You respond with 'I accidentally overslept in my Office, so I will do one last quick check before sleeping' and just like that, he went away, probably doing his job.
You look up your check list reading 'Check list for TCO'
-Check around the base premises.
-Check any holes that were dug up.
-Check if the Secondary Electric Fence working, if not, contact maintenance.
-Check Tertiary Reinforced Walls for any cracks.

With that you took several laps around the base, checking holes, checking electric fences working, checking for any cracks. Nothing, no problem. You decided to write everything as 'checked'
-Check around base premises. ✔️
-Check any holes that were dug up. ✔️
-Check I'd the Secondary Electric Fence working, if not, contact maintenance ✔️
-Check Tertiary Reinforced Walls for any cracks. ✔️
With all of that done, you went inside the base again and took the elevator inside, pressing 'Sub-Level 3'. Your eyes were almost black as if you were going to blackout.
As soon as it reached the floor, you got off. Straight to your Room and locked before sleeping once again.
