*Third Person POV*
Justin's phone chimed as he glanced down at it and read the text, which was from Oliver. He looked up and over at Oliver who was sitting on the couch with him and Kaz. "Um, Oliver, why did you just send me a text that says 'I make you feel all tingly inside'?" He questioned curiously.
Oliver's eyebrows scrunched up in confusion. "What? No, that wasn't meant for you. It was for Skylar." He looked at his phone and reread the text. "It's my big thumbs, I'm cursed."
Kaz spoke up in amusement, "Since it's out in the open, I say we discuss this tingly feeling." He looked from Oliver to Skylar who moved from the kitchen to the living room as she shot him down, "I say we don't."
Bree walked down the stairs and moved into the living room as well. "Uh, guys, I think I just discovered another superpower I got from the Arcturian. Look." She held out her palms as light shone then.
"Oh, cool! Flashlight hands." Kaz commented.
"Why would I need a flashlight in my hands?" Bree questioned.
"Because if they were in your feet, they wouldn't be as useful." Kaz simply answered.
"Actually, could you shine those bad boys over here? I dropped a peanut." Oliver replied on his knees, looking underneath the couch for his missing peanut.
"Superpowers are supposed to be cool. This is just lame." Bree pointed out as Skylar and Justin joined her sides.
"Bree, your powers may seem lame, and absolutely hysterical, but trust me, there must be a purpose-" Skylar started as Justin finished, "A big part of being a superhero is getting used to your powers and knowing how and when to use them. Don't worry, you'll figure it out."
Douglas walked into the penthouse with furrowed eyebrows and a worried look, mostly worried about Destiny. "What's wrong, Douglas?" Kaz inquired curiously.
"Something strange is going on outside. The whole city feels eerie. There are a lot more police sirens than usual." Douglas answered, "Des is actually out there right now, checking it out. She said that she'll call if it's too much for her and if she needs our help."
"What do you think it is?" Bree asked.
"I don't know, but something's definitely not right." Douglas admitted just as Chase and a girl with glasses walked into the penthouse.
"Hi guys. Meet Reese- She said that she and Des was old friends, and apparently, they had lost contact with each other. Reese here just wants to catch up with her." Chase spoke up.
"Hi." Reese commented.
Justin looked at the oddly familiar girl, but he couldn't seem to remember how he knew her. "I'm sorry I don't remember you, and I know who Des's friends are. After all, she's my little sister." He spoke up curiously.
"She must have not mentioned me then. I mean, we kind of had a little fight and I left. I just want to see her and... apologize, and just to let her know that she was right." Reese replied, chuckling lightly, "Des, um, always saw the best in people. She gives them second chances even when they don't deserve it." She looked down at the floor as the group exchanged a look.
"Yeah, she does." Douglas murmured.
"Where is Des anyway?" Chase asked, curious yet concern.
"She's checking around the city, finding out what's happening." Douglas answered, "She should be back after a little while. I'm gonna go check the news." He left out of the living room and went upstairs.
Skylar came back into the penthouse from the terrace and moved over to the group. "Douglas was right. Those sirens are really loud out there." She pointed out, "Maybe Des is in trouble and that's what is holding her from returning home."
"Yeah, but I'm more concerned with who she is." Bree commented, gesturing to the mysterious girl named Reese and turned her attention back to her, "So, how did you find Chase and how do you know Des?"
"I was at the library and she noticed me and recalled hearing about us on the news; We began to talk and she had mentioned to me that Des had told her about us." Chase began.
"Des and I were friends from the superhero world until I made a mistake and hurt her... I regretted it instantly and I didn't mean to. She forgave me but I couldn't forgive myself, I guess. I blamed her and that's how our argument had started. I left because that's what I do- I run away. Des never gave up on me, though. She tried to reach out to me. That's why I'm here- to apologize to her personally." Reese finished, biting her bottom lip and looked down at her folded hands.
"And Des deserves to know, especially if what she said is true about once being friends." Chase pointed out, looking over at his sister and then the team.

I walked down the sidewalk cautiously just as the street trembled a bit; Civilians ran away in fear from something in every direction, panicked. "Ah, the famous Quake. Where's your team at?" A male voice spoke as he walked behind me. I face him and immediately knew who he was. "Yes, it's really me- Rodissius."
I immediately stand in a defensive stance and watch him carefully. He held his hand up to stop me from attacking him. "I only want to talk. After all, I don't have any powers anymore. Plus, I can't hurt you. You're family to a friend of mine." He continued as I drop my defensive stance but continue to watch him carefully.
"Why are you doing this? How are you doing this?" I question him.
The villain simply smirked and replied, "My children, isn't it obvious? They're all loyal to me. And we have plans for you, Quake, but only time will tell. For now, Layla!" I flex my jaw just as a silvery cloud moved and then shifted into a red haired girl my age beside the man. "Take care of her, Layla- Don't kill her because we still need her, unfortunately."
"Do you really think she can hurt someone as powerful as myself?" I confidently question him with a smirk on my face, now standing in a defensive stance as was Layla.
"Yes." Rodissius simply answered and walked away from the two of us, his hands clasped behind his back. Layla only looked at me, her eyes now all white, and then energy pulsed around her as four duplicates appeared around her. I clench my fists and approach her.
I swung my fist towards one of the redheads as she blocked, spinning me around as another one swung their leg towards my face; I swiftly duck and hit her in the gut, pushing her back. A Layla swung her arm towards me as I grabbed it in my hands and kicked another duplicate in the gut. I flipped the one I was still holding over me as she did a cartwheel and fell facedown.
I kick one in the face as that one also fell to the ground; I block a duplicate's punch just as another managed to hit me in the face. I take a step back just as another one kicked me in the stomach as I fall onto my knees. I quickly press my palm to the ground and blasted the duplicates away from me.
I stand back up and found the original Layla and electrocuted her with my electric ability; She fell to the ground unconscious now. I wipe the blood off of my lip and take out my cellphone and dial Douglas's number as it rang. He answered it on the first ring, "D, you find out anything?"
"Tell the team to suit up and meet me out here. It's Riker and Roman's-" I start just as something hit me from behind. I drop my phone and collapse onto the ground, darkness enveloping me. I let out a groan and slip into unconsciousness.
"D? D! Come on, kid, answer me, say something." Douglas spoke through the phone just as Rodissius stepped forward and smashed the brunette's phone underneath his boot, disconnecting the call. He smirked and helped his daughter to her feet, both of them leaving for now.
*Third Person's POV*
Douglas approached the living room and motioned for the team. "Can I have a word with you guys? In private." He knew he shouldn't have let Destiny go check out the danger by herself. He knows that she can handle herself, but he still feels responsible for the girl because she's like a daughter to him.
"Absolutely." Kaz answered.
"Would you excuse us?" Chase commented to Reese who simply nodded, her eyebrows furrowed.
The six of them stepped over to where Douglas was at as he pulled them aside a little more. "I told you something weird was going. I was just watching the Channel 5 news with Chip and Dixie, and they said strange things have been happening all over the city. And Des just confirmed it. She was about to tell me until something happened- She's not answering my calls anymore. Des had said 'Riker and Roman', but was cut off." He explained to the team.
"Roman and Riker must be changing up their strategy. Instead of attacking us, they're attacking the people of Centurium City-" Chase started.
"Why?" Oliver asked.
"Because they couldn't get our list of the superheroes' locations." Skylar answered.
"Instead of fighting the superheroes themselves, I bet they're trying to lure them out by using innocent civilians as bait."
"And Des is in the middle of it. We have to go help her." Justin added.
"You guys go suit up and get moving." Douglas replied.
"Got it. Whatever you do, don't let her leave. Des will want to hear from her." Chase said to Douglas as all of them except for Oliver who was texting on his phone went upstairs to change into their mission suits.
Douglas received a text from Oliver as he read it and looked over at the boy in confusion. "Oliver, care to explain why you just invited me to a post-mission cuddle session?"
Oliver groaned, "Stupid thumbs." He looked at Douglas and asked, "Can you forward that to Skylar?" Douglas looked at him and gestured for him to just go already. Oliver quickly ran up the stairs and suited up.

"Des!" The six Elite Force members exclaimed and rushed over to me who was just waking up and sitting back up. Chase was the first one to reach me as he immediately took my hand in his. I continue to look down at the ground, blinking away the grogginess that I felt. Justin also knelt on my other side, his hand on my shoulder. "You okay?"
"Riker and Roman's father... It's Rodissius..." I finally speak and answer the question on their minds, "His children are doing the, uh, destruction throughout the city."
"How many children does he have?" Bree questioned.
"Thirteen. All shapeshifters." I answer.
"Skylar, we're outnumbered. It's a suicide mission." Oliver started the previous conversation the group had before finding me.
"We can do this. We are an elite force." I chime in, standing back up with help from my brother and boyfriend. "Who's with me?" I stuck out my free hand in the center of our group.
"If I'm going down, I'm going down fighting." Chase said and placed his hand on top of mine. Skylar placed hers on top of ours and added, "Me too." Bree then placed hers on top and nodded, "Me three." Kaz laid his hand on top and added, "Yup." Justin looked at me and placed his hand on top of ours and added, "I'll always stand with you, Des." I smile as we all look over at Oliver who nodded and placed his hand on top of all of ours and said, "I guess I'm in, too."
"Wow, you do have big thumbs. Look at that sucker." Skylar commented to Oliver who removed his hand and hid it a little. The swarms then surrounded all of us as Oliver muttered, "Oh, no." Skylar asked over the noise of the swarms, "What are they doing?"
"Brace yourselves!" Chase exclaimed as we all stood close by; Chase and I placed our shields in front of our team and us, us still holding hands. The shields helped a little, but the force of the multiple swarms sent all of us crashing back and onto the ground, hurt and halfway unconscious.
I was still a little awake and heard a pair of footsteps approaching us. Rodissius spoke up, "Good work, my children, good work." He smirked and looked down at me as I force myself to remain awake and slowly rise back up onto my feet. He dropped his smirk and watched with slightly raised eyebrows. I grunt and continue to look at him, now finally on my feet again. I shook the grogginess from me by shaking speedily fast and then abruptly stopped. "You really are as special as he says you are."
Chase was the next one onto his feet as he noticed Rodissius standing in front of us, the others then stood up also and stood beside us. "Who are you?" Chase demanded.
"I recognize him from Mighty Med." Skylar pointed out.
"That's Roman and Riker's father, Rodissius-" I start as Kaz added, "They had to take away his powers to save his life."
Oliver stepped towards him and spoke up, "Hey, I've been meaning to ask you. Isn't it a pain writing your name out all the time? Wouldn't it just be easier to go by Rod?"
"No." Rodissius shot him down with a glare as Oliver stepped back and replied, "Rodissius it is." The villain continued, "I see that your little Elite Force has finally realized you're no match for my family of shapeshifters. Believe me, Roman and Riker are the nice ones."
"What does that say about you as a father?" I remark.
"You can attack this city all you want, but no amount of destruction will ever bring your powers back. And, to be honest, you don't deserve them." Kaz commented.
"I may not have my powers but my children do. And, as you can see, they're getting plenty of revenge for me." Rodissius commented.
"They're attacking innocent people." Skylar pointed out.
"I know. Isn't it great?" Rodissius replied proudly.
"Look, Rod- See? It has a nice ring to it. We're on to your plan. You're attacking these people to lure the superheroes out." Oliver spoke up, taking a step forward.
"Yeah, but it's not gonna work because we're gonna take you down on our own." Chase added confidently.
Rodissius laughed and looked at me and back at the team. "You think we're trying to lure the superheroes here. No, our plan is a little more complex." He glanced once more at me and back at the team.
"How so?" Chase questioned.
"We didn't have to bring the superheroes here. We just had to get you away from your cyberdesk." Rodissius informed us as we exchanged a cautious look.
"There's someone in the house." Justin muttered.
"Reese." Bree commented in realization as the group exchanged a look as I look at them with furrowed eyebrows and repeat, "Reese? As in his daughter? You let her inside of the penthouse!?"
"She said that you two used to be friends and were close." They all started to defend themselves at once as Rodissius laughed again and cut everyone off, "If only Des was there in time, she could've told you guys the truth of that story. Shall I tell them how bad my daughter hurt you, how badly the betrayal was, or do you want to?" He looked at me as did everyone on the team.
"Come on. We have to get back before she gets that superhero list." Kaz spoke up, his hand on my wrist to stop me from attacking the villain for now.
Kaz let go as the team began to walk back to the penthouse as Bree and I remain behind. Rodissius continued to laugh, taunting us. "Well, what do you want?"
"Nobody messes with my sister." Bree remarked, holding her palms out as they glowed, she combined them which blasted the villain back. He crashed onto the ground with a painful thud. I look at her impressed as we hug.
"Bree!" Skylar said from behind us, also impressed. We turn and looked at her as Bree sheepishly replied with a light chuckle, "Oh... hey."
Skylar looked at her curiously and asked, "How did you-?"
"I'm not gonna lie, that was a total accident." Bree answered.
The three of us took off running and caught up with the boys as Chase held my hand in his comfortingly; I gasp as a painful throbbing overwhelmed my mind- and I immediately knew what happened. "Dougie." I whisper, holding onto my boyfriend's arm now as they looked at me. "We have to hurry."
I geo-leap us to the basement as we opened the rock wall and ran inside, stopping in mission command. "Dougie!" Perry exclaimed as she knelt beside the hurt spiky haired man on the floor.
"What happened?" Skylar questioned.
"Reese." I mutter, kneeling beside Douglas and immediately took his hand in mine, "She's what happened."
"Go get help." Chase told Perry after he had knelt by my side. Perry nodded and stood up, running out of the lab.
"Where's Reese?" Oliver asked Douglas who was halfway conscious as he grunted and answered him, "She took off right after she blasted me."
"Douglas, I'm so sorry-" Chase started.
"It's not your fault or anyone's but mine. I- I should've took care of Reese when I had the chance, but I was stupid and gave her another chance..." I cut him off quietly, my hand squeezing Douglas's and continued to listen to his slow pulse. "She got him good. His pulse is really weak."
"That's not the only thing she got. She downloaded the superhero list." Kaz spoke up at the cyberdesk. Oliver stood beside him as he added, "Now they know where all the superheroes are. We have to get on the encrypted network and warn them."
"She blocked our access. We can't even get on." Kaz pointed out.
"I'll stay here with Douglas. You guys head back out, try to find Reese." I speak up and stand back up and look at my brother and the team. "If it's a war they want... then we'll give them one."
"I'll stay, too. Go." Chase replied as the rest of the team nodded and left out of mission command. I drop back onto my knees beside Douglas and hold his hand in both of mine as Chase knelt beside me again and moved one hand over ours and looked at me. "Everything's going to be okay."
