Chase and I step off of the hydralift and walked over to the living room where my brother and the team was hanging out, sitting on the couch and laughing.

"Okay, Justin, today is the day that you officially join the team-" Chase started, smiling.

"But first, we have to give you a mission suit." I grinned. They smiled also as Chase and I head back down to mission command and start working on a suit for my brother.

After finishing the final touches of the new suit, I call the team, including my brother, down to mission command.

Justin's suit was a mix between Chase's and Kaz's yet also like Oliver's, his boots were the same as the boys however. He also had a blue and black hood on his suit like mine, and in the center of his belt, there was a new logo, the logo for our team.

"Okay, Justin. Go try it on." Chase said, wrapping an arm around the small of my back and waist.

Justin smiled and super speeded into a different room and came back with his new suit on. He placed his hands on his hips. "How do I look?"

"You look great." Bree and Skylar answered as Oliver and Kaz added, "You look awesome."

"But you still look like a dork." I grinned and go up to him, "Welcome to the team, Bro." Everyone cheered and clapped and then we hug.

"Thanks for accepting me on the team." Justin replied.

"You're one of now." Bree commented as everyone nodded in agreement.

"You'll fit right in with us, J." I add, lightly nudging him on his arm and then move back over to my boyfriend and now had my arms wrapped around Chase's waist as he had an arm around me also.

Justin and I walked down the hallway towards the living room from the training room; We had been perfecting our powers even more (if that's possible) and had worked on our fighting skills for the last hour.

"Chase, why are you lurking? Do you not have anything better to do?" Bree questioned her brother.

"Would I be reading your private emails if I had anything better to do? By the way, typo, third line down." Chase answered while plopping down in the seat next to her on the couch.

"You have a girlfriend. Go hang out with her." Bree pointed out.

"She's hanging out with Justin." Chase replied.

Justin and I entered the living room and made our way over to the kitchen to get both a bottle of water. "Hey, guys." We both say to them.

"Des! Will you please take Chase? He's bothering me." Bree complained.

I exchange a look with my brother as we both grinned and shrugged. Skylar entered the living room then and spoke up, "Hey, Bree, Des, want to get a frozen yogurt?"

"Absolutely!" Chase answered while quickly getting up from his seat and rushing over to her side.

"She was talking about Des and me." Bree replied.

"Why can't I go too?" Chase asked.

"Because you'll make us get sugar-free. Why are you being so needy?" Bree answered.

"Ever since I stopped being mission leader, I've been so bored. It's amazing how much time you have on your hands when you're not telling everyone else what to do." Chase replied.

"Maybe you need a hobby. What do you enjoy doing?" Skylar said.

"Besides telling everyone else what to do? Spending time with my girlfriend." Chase replied.

I softly laugh and look down, hiding a big grin, but Justin noticed and nudged me in my side gently, an amused grin on his face. I roll my eyes and move over to Chase.

"Later, Chase." Skylar replied, looking at me, "You coming with us, Des?"

"Not this time." I tell the two girls as they left out of the penthouse. I turn and look at Chase, placing my hands on his shoulders as he looked at me. "Come on, let's go."

"Where?" Chase asked as I let go and hold his hand and answer him, "I don't know. Let's go get food or do something."

He grinned and replied in agreement, "Okay!"

The two of us made our way to the door also as I stop and look over at my brother curiously. "You gonna be okay here?"

"Yeah, I'll go hang out with Kaz and Oliver. I'll be okay, Des. Go. Have fun." Justin commented.

I smile and Chase and I left out of the penthouse and began to walk down the street, his arm wrapped around me.

We walk in a comfortable silence for a few minutes; I look over at him as he looked at me and smiled a little. We stop as he made me face him completely, moving his thumb lightly cross the bandaged cut on my cheek.

"There's something I need to say." He began, his eyes darting back and forth searching my face. "I love you and I don't know what I would do if you got really hurt and... and died-"

"Chase-"

"Let me finish, please. You save us daily and protect us always. But you don't think that we would do the same- I'd do the same. I'm gonna always be there for you, okay? You're never alone in anything. You don't have to fight your battles by yourself and you definitely don't have to run anymore." He finished, "I want you to promise me. You keep fighting. You're strong, so promise me you'll fight for what's important."

"I promise." I assure him.

"I was so worried about you when you left. I always worry when you leave. You don't have to run anymore. We're a team, Des." Chase started.

I sit down on a bus bench and look down slightly. He continued, "You can't leave, Des, okay? I need you. I'm lost without you. Who would I look to on those days when I'm not strong enough or brave enough?"

"Well-" I begin.

"And... Who would we ask for advice when we don't know what to do?" He finished, "We just wouldn't be... The point is, I don't want to lose you."

I look at him and stand back up and hugged him. "You're not gonna lose me. We're a team. We get through this 'cause that's what we do. And if there's ever a day that I'm not here, there's something that you have to remember."

I pull back and look at him and finish, "I'll always be there for you. If I'm not here, you should know by now... I'll always find my way back to my home, to my family."

He smiled and kissed my forehead, our eyes closed. We start walking again, his arm wrapped around me again.

We get some frozen yogurt and the head back to the penthouse, laughing at our random conversations, jokes, or just laughing at nothing.

We had finished our yogurt by the time we reached the penthouse and enter inside, finding my brother, Kaz, and Oliver down in mission command.

"Okay, the base of the drone is ready. Now, we just gotta supe her up so she can annihilate the competition." Justin commented.

"I was not aware that the drone was a 'she'." Kaz replied in amusement.

"Everything I create is a 'she'. Just ask Des." Justin commented.

"I'm just excited to build the drone. Oh, I say we add a confetti cannon, and since she's a lady, we paint her a nice candy apple red, and add a cute little smile on the front." Kaz said.

"Kaz, you can't be serious. Those are terrible ideas." Oliver replied.

"Well, Justin doesn't think so. Right, Justin?" Kaz said.

"Uh... No, not at all. I think those are great ideas." Justin replied.

"See? Oh, I was also thinking that we should add tinted windows, skis in case of a water landing, and a little speaker that plays mariachi music so we can call her La Drona." Kaz continued.

"Or how about we just call her La Lame-o?" Oliver shot down.

"You know what? Ever since we invited you in, all you've done is bash my ideas and made me feel stupid." Kaz replied.

"Kaz, I'm not saying your ideas are stupid. I'm saying they're wrong." Oliver commented.

"You know what? If you can't be more supportive like Justin, then I don't think you should be working with us. And if you're not gonna leave after this uncomfortable exchange, I will." Kaz said and the left out of the hydralift just as Chase and I enter inside of the hydralift.

We enter the mission command as Oliver then left out. "What up, Brother?" I speak up, "What're you working on?"

"Kaz and I just finished our drone for the Drone Games, which is a race of drones." Justin answered. "How was your day? Keep Chase here in check?"

I smirk and looked at my boyfriend. "You know it. It was good. We had fun."

"Yup, ate some food and talked and just hung out. It was a good date." Chase added.

"Oh, so that was a date?" I cheekily ask him.

He blushed a little and stammered, "I- Yeah, I mean- maybe- Do you want it to be?"

"It was a good date." I confirm, repeating his statement as Chase grinned happily.

Chase and I went to the park to watch the boys race their drone. "Okay, I just put the finishing touches on her. She's all ready to go." Justin commented as he and I walk back over to our group.

"Really? So all of my suggestions are in there?" Kaz replied.

"Yup, even the twenty pound confetti cannon that won't slow her down at all." Justin remarked.

"Liar! You were just agreeing to my face and then switched everything back to the way you want it." Kaz said as I narrow my eyes a little at him and look at my brother.

"Kaz, I didn't-" Justin started as Kaz cut him off, "I don't want to hear it, okay? And the joke's on you, because I entered my own drone in the race just to make sure yours loses."

"What?" Justin began.

"Oh, I'll go get it ready." Oliver said.

"I just took one of Mr. Davenport's drones that I found in mission command." Kaz replied.

Chase and I exchanged a look as both of us asked him in unison, "Where in mission command?"

"The weapons room." Kaz answered.

"The what!?" Chase and I repeat simultaneously, sharing a look.

"All right, racers! Ready, set, go!" The announcer announced over the speaker as Kaz looked at Justin and said, "You're going down, Justin."

"Kaz, no!" The three of us told him, not wanting him to turn it on. But Kaz turned his drone on as it flew up into the air.

"Why aren't you starting your drone? Afraid you're gonna lose?" Kaz asked my brother.

I stop Justin from answering and answer myself, "No. He's afraid because that's one of Big D's attack drones. It's heavily armed and programmed to destroy any threat it senses."

"Oh. Did you know that?" Oliver asked Kaz who shook his head and answered, "No, I did not." Oliver looked back over at us and replied, "Yeah, we didn't know that."

"Okay, firing off an attack drone was probably a bad idea, but it's really fast. I think I got this thing won." Kaz said.

"Don't worry. We'll just use the controller to land it. Kaz, where's the controller?" Oliver replied.

"I don't have it. I thought you had it." Kaz said as Oliver commented with a shake of his head, "I don't have it." Kaz looked over at us and replied, "Yeah, we don't have it."

"That's because there is no controller. The drone has artificial intelligence. It's programmed to shoot down anything that aggravates it." Chase spoke up.

"That just sounds like poor design. It's not my fault." Kaz said and then turned to face Justin, "You yes-ed all my ideas and then yanked them out when I wasn't looking. I heard it all."

"Look, I know what you heard, Kaz, but after talking to Oliver and then Des, I felt really bad. I realized I wasn't being a very good friend, so I left all of your ideas in the drone. Here." Justin replied and moved away and came back with a red drone. "I'll show you."

"Skis, pretty smile, fuzzy dice. It's you, La Dona!" Kaz replied with a big grin.

"Okay, all right, what about the inside?" Oliver asked as Justin answered, "Everything he asked for." Oliver shook his head and commented, "I don't believe you."

Justin pressed a button as mariachi music played. "That proves nothing." Oliver continued.

"She's perfect. Thanks, buddy. I'm sorry I ever doubted you." Kaz replied.

"Okay, you forgive way too easily." Oliver commented to Kaz.

The drone began firing as Kaz exclaimed, "Incoming!" And then turned to look back at us, "Oh yeah, I've definitely got this thing locked up."

"We have to do something." Oliver commented.

"The drone has a homing beacon. If I can tap into it from my smart watch, I can reprogram it to land back at the penthouse terrace. Let's just hope it doesn't detect a threat between here and there." Chase spoke up and began to type in his watch. "Okay, so the drone should be landing any minute now on the penthouse terrace."

"We can track it with our bionic vision." I add as each one of mine and Chase's eyes lit up briefly. "Oh, no. You seeing what I'm seeing?" I exchange a look with Chase who nodded in confirmation and both glanced back at the penthouse to see Perry in a unitard and tutu.

"What is it?" Oliver and Justin asked us.

"From here, it looks like an unusual creature thrashing around, like pterodactyl eating its young." Kaz pointed out.

"Throw in a brightly colored tutu and you're not far off." Chase commented as I nod in agreement.

I geo-leap the five of us to the penthouse and we rush inside to find Skylar laying on the ground. "Skylar, what happened?" Oliver asked in concern as Skylar was in his arms.

"I got zapped by a drone." Skylar answered.

"Look what you've done!" Oliver said to Chase. Oliver looked at him and still held her. Skylar replied about his concern, "Oh, Oliver, you're my hero." Oliver beamed and repeated himself but more happy, "Look what you've done!"

Chase and I smiled and held hands as Bree assured Perry, "We're almost there. Okay, just a few more steps till you're back on the roof." Perry shuddered a little as Bree already stood on the roof and then Perry stepped back on it. "You did it! I'm so sorry for not believing in you. You know, your Grandma Gertie would've been really proud." Bree replied.

"What do you mean 'would have'? She fell but she's alive. She had a net. You'd have to be crazy to do this without a net. You put up a net, right?" Perry replied.

"Yeah, we should probably get down now." Bree said. The two of them climbed down from the roof and moved over to us.

I was standing between Justin and Chase now, Chase's arm still around my shoulders; I squeeze my brother's hand and smile at him and then let go and kissed my boyfriend on the cheek.

All of us went over to the living room, plopping down on the couch, and just watched TV for the rest of the evening.
