The First Fandom Commandment

| Thou Shall Not Disrespect Other Fandoms |

This should go without saying. While you may feel different about a book, actor, band, movie/show, or other fandom, never attempt to slander it while in the presence of a member of that fandom.

If you are asked to give your opinion, you may still state your thoughts, but please keep in mind that there are people who enjoy these fandoms.

Some polite ways to state your opinion without disrespecting the fandom(s) include:

"I personally don't like the books, but I can see why someone else might."
"Their music isn't my favorite, but I can admit they have some good songs."
"The show isn't really my cup of tea."

All fandoms are equal and must unite.

People aren't always just in a fandom because they like the product. Some people feel emotionally connected to it. There are different reasons as to why they might feel this way.

You do not need to like the fandom, but you must respect it.
