"Rowan?" Emily asked, watching him on the bleachers. "Hi, Emmy," he said with a warm smile, "join in." he patted the place next to him. "Hi," she said, sitting next to him. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "I needed to think about something, grapes?" he asked. "Sure," she took one, "what are you thinking about maybe I can help you," she said.

Rowan just smiled, "I don't think you could. It's...complicated," he said. "Nothing is ever complicated. You could tell me if you like," she said. "I think, did he ever mention Danielle to you?" he asked. "Trust me, Rowan, I had absolutely no idea. She is not even who he likes," she said.

"We didn't know to. Today, I saw them kissing," he said. "And?" she asked. "I pulled him, we were late for who am I kidding," he turned towards her. "Emily do you he," he closed his eyes. "Take your time," she said. "Do you think by any chance he is interested in boys?" he asked.

Emily looked around. She didn't know if she should tell him. "Why?" she asked instead. "Do you think I have a chance with him?" he asked. "Do you like him?" she asked. "I have been pining over him for years. I saw him with girls, and trust me, it hurts to see the person you like with someone else, " he said. "I know," she said, memories of Will and Isabel flashing through her head. "That day at the beach, I thought he might like me," he said.

"You should tell him, Rowan," she said. "What if he rejects me, and I am assuming everything, I can't lose him as a friend too," he said. "You won't, but it would be bad if you keep it to yourself, and I don't think Ed could ever live without you, ever," she said. "You think that?" he asked.

"I know my brother, don't keep it yourself you would never know if don't take a step" she stood up, "we have class in five minutes, come on," she said stretching her hand out. "I can see why Sam likes you so much," he took her hand.

"Is this seat taken?" Sam asked. William looked up with his eyebrows raised, "No, it isn't," he said, shifting to his left. Sam sat down and immediately noticed his friends staring at him with a smirk. He ignored them and loosened his collar, showing the lipstick stain. He could feel William's eyes on him, "So how long are you and Emily dating?" William asked.

Sam pressed his lips together, "long enough," he smiled at him and turned around, keeping her scrunchie in William's clear view.

"It worked he kept staring at it the whole time," Sam said, standing next to Emily in the parking space. They were over with their classes for the day. "Now we have Isabel. She is going to be difficult," Emily said. "She is not, Isa is a very jealous person. The moment she feels William's attention slipping away from her, she will get mad," he said.

"Then you will swoop in as the knight in shining armor," she said. "I think we have our work cut out for us," he said, looking around, "where is your brother?" he asked. "I have no idea, and he has the keys," she said. "Sorry, I am late," Edward walked towards them. "Where the hell have you been, I have stood here nearly thirty minutes," she said.

"I was busy," he said. "Sorry, Emily, I believe I was keeping him. I hope you don't mind," Danielle said. "Of course, I don't, Danielle," she smiled. Her smile vanished when she looked at her brother, "Take out the car," she said. "Bye, bobo," Danielle said. Emily looked at Ed with a smile, "Bobo," she mouthed. He walked away, "Isn't he the best?" she asked. "Sure."

Emily rolled her eyes, turning towards Sam. He cupped her cheek, "Don't bother, they won't last," he said next to her ear. "What if they do?" she asked. "Then you will have to see her at each family dinner for the rest of our life," he said. "I would rather kill myself," she said. Edward honked. She felt like killing him. "Now he wants to go," she said, looking at him. "Don't kill him," he said. "No promises," she said, walking towards the car.

"Shall we go, bobo?" came Danielle's voice startling Emily. "What the, what are you doing here?" she asked. "I am dropping her off," he said. "Brilliant." Emily looked out of the window, Sam waved at her, and she waved back.

Danielle kept talking the entire time, and Emily kept wanting to jump out of the car. "Bye bobo," she kissed him, walking out of the car. "Bye, Emily," she said. Emily waved as soon as she was out of earshot she turned towards her brother. "Do you care to explain?"

"See," he started. "What is wrong with you, Danielle Clark, really Edward you couldn't get any other girl?" she asked. "Would you let me finish?" he said. "What could you possibly say? Weren't you in love with Rowan a few days ago? " she asked. "Are you done, Emily?" he said. She leaned back, "I don't know if Rowan even sees me like that, and Danielle likes me, and right now, I just want to be loved," he said. "I think you should just tell Rowan how you feel," she said. "There is no use," he said. "Then stay miserable with Danielle Clark," she got out.
