Chapter 25- Stubbornness

The skeleton of nobility ran towards the cosmos surface, slamming the door in the process. Upon the sight with the lilac irises, they froze at the scene. He stared, and saw the two skeletons opposing what could be the living embodiment of hate and vengeance.

"What the hell?!" The skeleton called, as the sound echoed through the outskirts of the rocky surface. The child and other skeletons looked towards Nightmare, which earned a smirk from the immoral being.

Their pink cheeks dulled in the darkness, with the knife speared through the protector and with full force they pulled out the jagged knife. Stomping their laced-up boots onto the skull, Ink hissed slightly.

"Well, well...look what we have here. Skeletons siding with their enemies just to kill one human, I guess keeping your enemies closer is being literal here." Chara sighed.

Nightmare closed his eye-sockets, feeling the strong presence of despair. "I know what you're saying and I agree, this is completely ridiculous. Especially considering how you're trying to kill the multiverse's protector and destroyer..." He opened his lilac irises and stared at the human.

"...Let me guess, you're here to kill me as well?" Chara rolled their eyes and shook their head with a smile.

"Oh, absolutely. There isn't a doubt about that- since...well you are a corpse, and corpses like you need to be deposed. But you knew that already." With the bluntness in his voice, Chara took a sharp inhale.

"How bold of you." The human glared and felt themselves stumble, and as the heels of the laced boots tumbled their nose was crushed against the rubble of the ground. As they felt their ankles being raised up, with their luminous red eyes they met with mis-matched eyes of a dark glitching skeleton.

"I'm getting tired of your games Chara!" Error screamed at the human, with the blood dripping onto the ground the human felt light-headed. And within a blink, they spat into the glitching skeleton's skull which resulted in the blue thread that was attached to Chara's ankle loosened and caused them to fall onto the ground.

"WHAT THE HELL!? THAT'S GROSS" Stuttered through his words, he wiped it off his skull and shivered from displeasure. Chara giggled in delight and picked themselves back up.

"Yeah....well." Chara paused for a moment. "I'm tired of all of this... I only came here for one primary reason, and all of you are acting like I'm the only one who even disrupted the multiverse- when literally a skeleton is INSIDE THAT HOUSE, OUT OF HIS UNIVERSE FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG JUST LIVING HERE?!" The human exclaimed, and turned their head to stare at the skeleton with the crescent crown.

"If you're tired just rest." Nightmare says with his bony fingers resting on his hip bones, and shook his skull.

"Look who's talking." Chara cracked their knuckles, with their eye twitching towards the prince.

"...Killer hasn't disturbed the coding in a significant amount. Nobody has ever said he was innocent either, you're just becoming desperate for your reasoning." With utter bitterness Error answered behind the human, and crossed his arms as he continued to shiver.

The human trembled, and bit their lip as their eyes welled up. Chara twirled the knife in their hand, and pointed towards the prince of darkness. "...Get him to shut up." They snarled and squinted their eyes, and spinned towards Error's direction.

Nightmare froze as he saw the skeletons covered in tar, the sight of the flowing liquid made him tremble so slightly. "...So this is where you two have been."

The tall skeletons didn't answer the noble prince, and continued to approach him. "Oi! answer me!" Nightmare called out to the skeletons, they were dragging their legs across the rocky ground.

"...Is it you....Nightmare?" One of them mumbled, and the prince only nodded his skull. The two Papyrus' looked at each other. Nightmare started to feel an eerie presence from the two opposing skeletons, as he brought out his shaking hands.

"...Where did you go?" One of them asked, then it dawned on Nightmare. It was as if his soul was pierced through, and his arms dropped.

"...You see--I" Before Nightmare could've finished his words, interrupted by the human who kept swinging their knife towards the glitching skeleton.

"What are you two doing?! I told you to shut him up!" They shouted, and as the light shifted so slightly onto everyone that stood on the moon. Chara growled quietly but then stopped in motion as soon they heard soft cries, the human looked towards the house and their jaw slightly dropped, but turned into a smirk.

"Oh no you don't!" Error yelled, and upon raising his arm. He magically created a large skull full of many malfunctions, it raised its jaw and powered a large beam towards the human. In a trance, Chara stood still as the weapon powered itself... but within moments they leaped out of the way, as it almost burned the tips of their boots.

"GRAB HIM" The human took a moment to gain their composure, with their trembling legs they raised back up and turned around. 

They giggled and rushed towards the skeleton, as he was taken aback, the human charged towards Error and their laugh echoed within Error's skull as they tackled him down onto the ground full of rocks and rubber.

"Look at you all! You're all surrounded!" Chara swallowed as the black substance spilled out of their mouse and raised the knife towards Error's neck, as he continuously glitched. Chara grinned as wide as possible.

"Finally....all of you will finally get out of my way!" The human called out, and to their surprise they saw a radiating light rapidly glowing towards Chara and under their breath they muttered.

"Crap." Within an instant they were blasted off the glitching skeleton.
